日本の高等教育機関における「教養教育」とは？
No full textDepartmental Bulletin Paper日本の高等教育における「教養教育」は、その導入の歴史的背景から「専門教育」の“前座” とされる傾向がある。教養（学）部のある国立大学は、過去において最大で33校もあったが、1991年の大学設置基準大綱化によって卒業単位中の「一般教育」単位数規定が撤廃されると、ほとんどの国立大学で教養（学）部は廃止され、群馬大学においても教養学部所属教員は他学部に再配置された。「教養教育」改革もこれまで取り組まれてきたが、カリキュラムに基づく「教養教育」であるべき姿から、教員ありきのカリキュラムへと本質がずれていった印象が拭えないことが問題である。本論では、群馬大学においての教育改革を振り返りながら、日本の初等・中等教育までの学習指導要領改訂や高等教育機関での「教養教育」の変遷を概観し、この混沌とした時代を生き抜く「たくましく、しなやかな」汎用的人間力を備えた学生育成の重要性に触れ、改めて「教養教育」改革の必要性を議論する。departmental bulletin pape
