Get PDFDepartmental Bulletin PaperUsing data from the Japanese Life Course Panel Survey(JLPS), this paper investigated the relationship between academic achievement, socioeconomic background and access to university in Japan. While the university entrance rate has drastically risen since 1990s, socioeconomic disparity in access to university has not necessarily decreased. On the other hand, the effect of academic achievement on access to university has significantly decreased during the same period. More detailed analysis revealed, however, the decline of academic achievement effect on whether to go on to university was found only for those with lower socioeconomic background. 理工系大学生の海外経験・留学に関する意識調査 ―群馬大学留学調査（３）からの報告―
Get PDFDepartmental Bulletin Paper本調査報告は、2016年に群馬大学に在学する学部１年生を対象に、海外経験・留学に関する意識調\n査を実施し、その中で特に理工系大学生に関するデータについて結果を分析したものである。その\n結果、回答者の約50％が留学に対して積極的な意識を持っており、そのうち約半数が１か月程度の語\n学研修を希望していることがわかった。留学先希望国については、上位10カ国がすべて欧米諸国であ\nり、留学に関しては欧米中心の考え方が根強いこと、さらに、群馬大学理工系大学生の留学阻害要因\nは、物理的な側面としての「経済的負担」、能力的な側面としての「語学力の不足」、そして心理的な\n側面としての「海外生活への不安」の３つであることが明らかになった。これらの結果をふまえ、理\n工系大学生の海外経験・留学について、必要とされている支援策についても考察した。departmental bulletin pape
