Social networks as a communication tool in public relations
Ovaj završni rad sadrži teorijsko razmatranje odnosa s javnošću, povijesni razvoj i funkcije istog. This final paper contains a theoretical consideration of public relations, its historical development and functions. Sexism in Croatian online media: Cases of violation of journalistic ethical principles
Sexism as discrimination based on gender and the belief in the inferiority of a certain gender has great and often fatal consequences on physical, psychological, socioeconomic and social factors. On the other hand, today's professional standards of journalistic reporting are often low, so cases of violation of ethical principles in the context of objectivity, factuality and empathic approach to the topic can be noticed in the media. The aim of this work was to determine whether sexism exists in Croatian online media and if so, who are the most frequent victims and which ethical principles are usually violated. The first, theoretical part of the paper, describes concepts and phenomena of sexism, ethical principles of Croatian journalists, gender (in)equality in the Republic of Croatia and the way women are portrayed in the media. After that, a brief review and analysis of the report on the work of the Ombudsman for gender equality in the Republic of Croatia in 2021 was carried out, with an emphasis on its segments related to gender discrimination and stereotypes, reporting on gender-based violence and sexism in media content. On the basis of the above, it was concluded that sexism affects both the private and public spheres while the big problems of Croatian ethical media practice are sensationalism, tabloidization and untrue reporting. The most common victims of sexism in the media are women, who are often portrayed as objects of lust and beauty while at the same time, stereotypical roles such as mothers and housewives are attributed to them. When reporting on gender-based violence, editors and journalists often use sensationalist headlines and sometimes suggest co-responsibility of the victim while the violent act is shown in the form of a film plot, which again violates the ethical principles of journalism, as well as fundamental human rights
Work on the play "Hell"
Kroz (čitavu) predstavu ansambl iznosi likove, bića, pojave i prostorne manifestacije dominantno tijelom i pokretom. This thesis is based on the performer's artistic process within the contemporary dance habitus in the work on and performance of the play Hell by Dante Alighieri. The director Ivan Leo Lemo presented Hell as a staged narrative of the journey undertaken by Dante as the protagonist and narrator, and Vergil as his mentor and guide. Throughout the whole play the ensemble dominantly portrays the characters, creatures, apparitions and spatial manifestations by using their bodies and movement. Despite a fundamentally physical expression of the ensemble, the play is based on the approach to dramaturgy within a dramatic framework whose carrier is the text itself, i.e. speech. The aim of this thesis is finding a common denominator to approaching and working on the movement arising from both the actors’ and the dancer's discourse in order to achieve a harmony of expression between the contemporary dancer and her fellow actors within the ensemble. The comparison of these two perspectives reveals some common aspects of movement creation and realization, and recognizes the use of spoken dialogues as inherent to movement. The insight into the dramatic approach is based on the experience of working on performance courses of the Nonverbal Theatre study programme. The knowledge and integration of the notion of dramatic action stands out as the key factor with the application of Laban's movement analysis as the tool, with an emphasis on the field of effort
Pictorialism and NFT's photography - social and cultural implications
Fotografija se koristi kako u amaterskom, tako i u profesionalnom svijetu, a mnoge tvrtke i pojedinci (pogotovo umjetnici) su u njoj osim strasti pronašli i koristThis paper is about photography, how its various forms have influenced society and culture and the changes that have occured in the process of its development. Terms like pictorialism, blockchain, digitization, NFTs and crypto art will be explained. The aim of this work is to point out how important the medium of photography is in our everyday life and how it is almost impossible to imagine it without its form. Also, the whole issue will be looked at in the cultural context of new arts, that is, new aesthetics, and especially in relation to a man as the author. Photography is used in both the amateur and the professional world and many companies along with individuals (especially artists) are in it for not only profit, but also passion

Team leadership in project management
The paper discusses the importance of team management in project management. It has been established that the project team is of great importance for companies in which projects often take place and the project managers themselves are part of that process. For this reason, an effective and safe team is considered very important for the growth and development of the company. Managing a project team refers to the processes of performance monitoring, problem solving and change management. The outcome of team management are requests for change, updates of the resource plans and knowledge bases, evaluation of the work and solving of the problems. It requires different management skills to encourage team, with particular attention to communication, conflict management, leadership and negotiation. Likewise, the leader sholud know when and how to reward individuals according to their merits. The project manager must effectively negotiate and influence other participants who are able to secure the necessary human recources for the project. Unsuccessful gathering of the necessary human recources can affect the course of the project, i.e. the schedule, budget, risk, quality and thus ultimately customer satisfaction
Corporate social responsibility in the function of marketing: a case study
Corporate social responsibility is a broad term that refers to the impact of companies on society and the environment. Socially responsible companies pay special attention to care for the community, the environment and the development of good relations with consumers, employees, society and business partners. There are four dimensions of socially responsible business, namely: economic, legal, moral and philanthropic dimensions. Marketing is one of the most important and complex business functions, the goal of which is to identify and satisfy the needs of consumers, and this is achieved through the marketing process, that is, market research is carried out, marketing decisions are made, marketing goals are defined, marketing strategies and marketing activities are determined, and marketing mix, the basic elements of which are product, price, distribution and promotion. Corporate social responsibility was implemented in the function of marketing through corporate social initiatives such as marketing related to a social goal, volunteering, and corporate philanthropy, and through ethical marketing activities, as well as the implementation of a sustainable and green marketing concept. In this way, companies contribute to the community and the preservation of the environment, achieve better relations with stakeholders, create a competitive advantage, increase their reputation on the market and improve their business. The examples of social responsibility of the companies Dm and Kaufland confirm that there are numerous ways in which companies can apply corporate social responsibility in the function of marketing, which benefits not only themselves, but also their consumers, stakeholders and society as a whole. The goal of this undergraduate thesis is to determine the importance and connection between social responsibility and the function of marketing and, based on two examples, to see how companies can apply corporate social responsibility in the function of marketing
Potential of rural tourism in Slavonia
Today, tourism can have a great significance and impact on the country. In order for the country to be successful in terms of tourism, it is necessary to invest in tourism and the development of the destination, but in addition, it is necessary to have something different and special to offer to tourists. The first thesis about the origin of tourism tells how man has moved since the beginning of his existence, which makes tourism, that is, the movement of man to other destinations simply necessary. The uniqueness of the destination can be realized with specific forms of tourism that create an individual offer for visitors. Specific forms of tourism fully recognize the tourists and create the offer according to the exact wishes of the tourists. Specific forms of tourism include rural tourism. Rural tourism began to develop in the 11th century, but it experienced full development in the 18th century when people went to small towns outside the city for vacation. Continental Croatia has the possibility of realizing rural tourism at a high level, which would extend the country's tourist season. In addition to earning money, tourism in the countryside revives the community in which it takes place and would reduce population migration to other countries. The aim of the work is to show the possibility of rural tourism development in Slavonia and Baranja. The examples of successful tourism mentioned in the paper are Acin Salaš and Ethno village Karanac, they provide a good example of how it is possible to use the potential of Slavonia and Baranja for the further development of rural tourism
Impact of mega-events on urban and regional development: analysis of the Olympic Games
Today, mega-events are of increasing importance for the economic development of cities and countries around the world. The difference between an ordinary event and a mega-event is, of course, its size. It is about the size in many different areas that are presented and described in this paper. It can be defined as a consciously planned manifestation and celebration organized with special goals. Given that the paper analyzes two editions of the Olympic Games, it is important to note that the task of the organizers is to create a sports spectacle that will leave more positive than negative consequences on the environment. Bidding to host the Olympics is a complex and long-term process that should be approached seriously and responsibly. There is a direct connection between mega-events (in this case the Olympics) and tourism. All host cities during the organization of the Games create many accompanying activities during the competition so that spectators, together with athletes from more than 200 countries, get to know the city, its culture and share common values and celebrate the Olympic movement. However, the lifespan of organizing and planning a mega-event is much longer than the event itself. All these activities are extremely important even after the mega-event is held, for it to be considered a complete success. Certain strategies and efforts are needed for host cities in order to create more beautiful and better-living conditions by organizing mega-events, and for the city to become as big competitor as possible in the tourist market and thus send a positive image to the world
Work on the play "Močvarovci"
Put do ostvarenja suradnje s kulturnom ustanovom, nastanak glazbe s glazbenikom Ervinom Lustigom i proces rada s glumcima i lutkarima Reom Kamenski-Bačun, Anom Cmrečnjak, Tonijem Leakovićem i Nikolom Radošem. Theater play Močvarovci is a master thesis work made in collaboration with Kulturni centar Osijek and student of puppet directing course Ana Šantar from Academy of arts and culture in Osijek, under mentorship of Assistant Professor Art. Tamara Kučinović. In this written work the student explains her long road begining with the idea of the puppet play for children all the way to its showing. It explains how and what drew her to the idea of working on a children's puppet play, and how the text was made in collaboration with author Ivana Klaić and making of scenography and puppets with scenographer i puppet technician Sara Baričević. It details the collaboration with the Cultural institution, making of the soundtrack with musician Ervin Lustig and the process of working with actors and puppeteers Rea Kamenski-Bačun, Ana Cmrečnjak, Toni Leaković and Nikola Radoš. The troubles she faced in the process of making the play can be tied to the latin phrase Per aspera ad astra (Through hardships to the stars), the troubles are considered as hardships and the stars would be the final product (play). The work concludes with positive attitude, endurance to make herself a better person, further develop her abilities and with a look and hope for better future in working in the theater, with other coworkers and the world around her
