Educational Effects of Traditional Japanese Children’s Songs (Warabe-Uta ) in Preschool : Analyses of Results from a Questionnaire Given to Classroom Teachers, and from Observation of Children Enjoying These Songs.
Get PDFapplication/pdfThe educational effects of teaching traditional Japanese children’s songs (warabe-uta ) were observed and analyzed at four different preschools, where the children were five and six years old. Analyses were made of sound spectrograms of these songs, of the relationship of these songs to particular rhythms and accents in the Japanese language, of their melodic structure, as well as of their ability to develop the children’s sense of rhythm. Classroom teachers’ responses to a questionnaire were also analyzed, in order to discern what results these teachers hoped to achieve with these songs.
Our analyses revealed that the songs were deeply related to rhythms and accents in Japanese, and that they not only reflect such naturally-occurring characteristics of the Japanese language, but also contain in their simple structures various elements which make them particularly attractive to children. The questionnaire responses revealed that teachers generally expected the songs to be educationally effective, but on the other hand, some respondents did not feel very comfortable using them. It seems further research will be necessary, in order to develop techniques designed to take fuller advantage of the educational potential of these songs.わらべうたが保育においてどのような効果を持つのか、４園の５歳児のわらべうた遊びの様子を観察し、声紋分析、日本語のリズムやアクセントの特徴、旋律構造、拍節感などから分析した。また、それぞれのクラス担任へのアンケートより、わらべうたの効果やイメージについて考察した。その結果、わらべうたは日本語のリズムやアクセントなどと深く関係しているが、単に日本語の特徴に忠実に従っているのではなく、単純な構造の中に、子ども達の心を惹きつける様々な仕掛けがあることがわかった。担任アンケートにおいては、全般的には、わらべうたの効果を認めているものの、なじみがないなどの意見もあった。今後は、わらべうたを効果的に保育に生かす方法の検討が必要であると考える。journal articl
Educative Effectiveness of Graphic Facilitation in Teacher and Childcare Workers Training Courses
Get PDFapplication/pdfThe theme of this research was to hold a training course for instructors and childcare workers using graphic facilitation, to analyze the educative effectiveness of the class by means of a questionnaire, and make appropriate adjustments. From the results, we learned that a majority of students taking part in the discussion responded positively to the use of graphic facilitation. Furthermore, the results suggested that the class also stimulated students' cognition and comprehensive abilities, as well as encouraged creative thinking and confident self-expression. Through the implementation of teacher and childcare worker training courses using graphic facilitation, and the tangible sense of learning instilled in students, this workshop-style training has the potential to gain awareness and popularity in schools and various other facilities.本研究では、教員・保育士養成科目においてファシリテーション・グラフィックを用いた授業を実践し、その教育的効果を質問紙調査の分析に基づいて検証した。その結果、学生は、話し合いにおいてファシリテーション・グラフィックを用いることをおおむね肯定的に受け止めていることが示唆された。また、教育的効果としては、学生の認知・理解を促したり、思考・意見表出を促したりすることが示唆された。教員・保育士養成科目においてファシリテーション・グラフィックを用いた授業を実践し、その教育的効果を学生が実感的に理解することは、ワークショップ型の授業や研修が学校や施設の現場で普及していく可能性に道をひらくものである。journal articl
Effects of Reading Guidance in the First-Year Training for Nursing
Get PDFapplication/pdfThe purpose of this paper is to clarify the effects of reading guidance that was undertaken as an organizational initiative in the first-year training to nursing students.
Based on pre-guidance factor analysis on 28 items listed in a reading method check sheet, five key factors were selected: detailed comprehension, overall comprehension, recognition of structure of content, comprehension through stages, and comprehension using imagination. Following guidance, scores in lower parameters improved significantly for all factors. Fourteen categories were identified from descriptions by students on inspiring aspects, and these categories corresponded to the five factors above. Descriptions by students on useful aspects were also analyzed, and eight sub-categories were identified, which were grouped into four categories: skill enhancement, changes in the recognition of reading, practice and utilization, and delight. Students were able to recognize the resonance of reading through questions for deeper comprehension, and through materials that enabled comparison between different perspectives under the same theme. They could also achieve meta-recognition on correct reading through the experience of selfevaluating the reading method.本論文の目的は、看護学生対象の初年次教育として組織的な取り組みで実施した「リーディング指導」の効果を明らかにすることである。
指導前の「文章の読み方チェックシート」の28項目を因子分析した結果、「深く読む」「大局に立って読む」「構造を意識して読む」「手順を踏んで読む」「創造的に読む」の５因子が抽出され、指導後すべての因子の下位尺度得点が有意に向上した。また、学生の「ためになったこと」の記述から14のカテゴリーが抽出され、それらは５因子に対応した。さらに、学生の「役立ったこと」を分析した結果、８サブカテゴリーが導かれ、「スキルアップ」「読むことの認識の変化」「実践・活用」「楽しさ」のカテゴリーにまとめられた。学生は、読解を深くするための発問や、同一テーマで視点の相違を比較できる教材によって、読むことの奥深さを意識でき、読み方を自己評価する経験によって、正確に読解できているかメタ認知するようになった。journal articl
