Use of Small Grains in Daily Life
It was the Green Revolution that made independent India self-sufficient in its food needs. However, due to the minimum reference price announced by the government for the small grains the farmers gave importance to paddy and wheat crops. The production of other small and minor grains has been greatly reduced due to the excessive attraction shown on it. And due to the monotonous cultivation of crops, the chemical pesticides and fertilizers used for high production have degraded the fertility of the soil and made it infertile. By eating food produced in this way, the human body becomes weak, disease occurs and the days of life are also reduced. Realizing this, the Indian government has been taking all the necessary efforts to regain human well-being for a few decades. The article is about the minor grains taken by ancient Tamil people, how they cultivated and ate it, and what were the benefits they attained by eating those grains

Sangam literature is a mirror of time that captures the civilization, culture and customs of the Tamil people. Psychological Traits According to Vaikundar in Akhilathiratu
People living in South India in the nineteenth century AD were subjected to many atrocities of untouchability. In those days the people were denied their rights under the rule of the Travancore king. It was a kind of hateful and jealous regime. The people who lived in those days regarded each other as enemies and even brothers born together fight each other. It became easy for the rulers of that time to enslave those who lived in disunity. Ayya Vaikundar brought together the enslaved people with his efforts and made them free from slavery. He wanted to create a peaceful social revolution among the people who were oppressed in the society and lived without identity due to social inequalities. He encouraged the oppressed people who were bound by customs to think and act on the path of morality. He sought to abolish caste which was a stumbling block to remove the inequalities found among the people. He instilled equality in those who came to him without regard to caste. He insists people to live with dignity and unity and created many principles and morals for life and he gave impetus to the development of man. The nature of this article is to prove that Vaikundar upholds his policy of social justice

The major objective of the research is to explore the talent of Sangam women’s scholar Velliveediyar. This research is designed in a qualitative approach. The library work is used for this study. The findings show that the creativity of Velliveediyar. This study is useful in teaching the younger generation about the biography of Velliveediyar and her creativity. The Role of Performing Puranas in the Formation of Cultural Identity of Madurai
The story is one of the four types of folklore. Mythology is also a story. Even basically speaking is referred to as speaking in Sri Lanka. The story usually starts with one or two people talking and it has evolved into great epics and mythology. Because the central view of folklorists is that all works such as puranas, epics and Sangam literatures must have basically emerged as a short story and evolved out of oral practice. Here we can see that the need for customs such as stories and puranas constitutes a cultural identity. This article explains how performing puranas plays an important role in the cultural identity formation of Madurai and thereby the cultural identity of the city is created
Tax in Literature
From the Sangam era to the present day, tax has been intertwined with our lives. It has been collected under many names like Aayam, Nathu, Kondi, Thira, Kappam, Terudha, Puravu. The revenue generated through this is the primary source of income for the country's economy. Economy is essential for good governance of a country. The government has received a large part of the economy from the citizens in the name of treasury. During the reign of the king, the citizens paid one-sixth of the revenue to the government as treasury. From the Sangam literature to the modern literature, the people pay taxes. Three thousand and one hundred thousand objects indicate that one-sixth of the revenue was received from the people. Night tax has been levied compulsorily in times of war and famine. During times of crisis they have collected taxes in the name of Puravu. The tribute paid by the defeated king to the king who won the war was called Thira. The tax levied on land is called land. The tax levied on business is called business tax. The literature refers to customs imposed on export and import goods as Ulgu. Katha songs and such literature also mention the collection of taxes
Culture in Agananooru
Culture distinguishes man from other species. The smallest unit of culture is called cultural component. Culture can be divided into two types namely material culture and non-material culture. Material culture includes all kinds of things that people make for their needs. Non-material culture includes all elements that do not take material form. Material culture and non-material culture are interrelated rather than separate. Ancient Tamils used to conduct weddings on Urogini Nakshatra day. Fresh sand has been spread in the fields, lights have been lit, flower garlands have been hung and houses have been decorated. Utensils and other items have been given freely. The women have cheered for the leader to play the whole murusa. The bride and groom are greeted with flowers and water lily. Hospitality is one of the best traditions of Tamils Such hospitality can also be found in Agananooru.
