Reputational incentives motivate authentic prosocial signaling
In this study, we are exploring how observability and partner choice affect cooperation.
In a two-stage economic game paradigm, we test how public versus private displays of generosity (as measured by a Dictator Game; DG) in Stage 1 affect participants' trust in social partners (as measured by a Trust Game; TG) in Stage 2. Additionally, we explore how partner choice affects participants’ behavior (in both games/stages).
Finally, we are interested in participants' ratings of the moral goodness of the other players with whom they are paired in both the DG and TG
A critical scoping review of relations between feedback and emotions
Both feedback and emotions are universal in instructional contexts. They influence performance outcomes, learning, behavior, career possibilities, as well as general life satisfaction (e.g., Krannich et al., 2017). In educational settings, feedback can be one of the primary avenues to nurturing positive emotions in students which can enhance students’ well-being and learning (Gross, 1998; Gross & John, 2003; Pekrun et al., 2002). The purpose of the critical scoping review is to synthesize literature on the relations between instructional feedback and emotions in educational settings, explore moderators and mediators of those links, and summarize relations to learning outcomes
