Refrain, Again: The Return of the Villanelle
No full textPoets and scholars are all wrong about the villanelle. While most reference texts teach that the villanelle’s nineteen-line alternating-refrain form was codified in the Renaissance, the scholar Julie Kane has conclusively shown that Jean Passerat’s “Villanelle” (“J’ay perdu ma Tourterelle”), written in 1574 and first published in 1606, is the only Renaissance example of this form. The nineteenth-century “revival” of the villanelle in fact stems from an 1844 treatise by a little-known French Romantic poet-critic named Wilhelm Ténint. This study traces the villanelle first from its highly mythologized origin in the humanism of Renaissance France to its deployment in French post-Romantic and English Parnassian and Decadent verse, then from its bare survival in the period of high modernism to its minor revival by mid-century modernists, concluding with its prominence in the polyvocal culture wars of Anglophone poetry ever since Elizabeth Bishop’s “One Art” (1976). The villanelle might justly be called the only fixed form of contemporary invention in English; contemporary poets may be attracted to the form because it connotes tradition without bearing the burden of tradition. Eksplorasi Efektivitas Sistem Layanan Administrasi di PT Taspen (Persero) Kantor Cabang Bandung
Get PDFThis study explores the effectiveness of the administrative service system implemented by PT Taspen (Persero) KC Bandung through the use of Taspen One Hour Online Services (TOOS) and Taspen Digital Enterprise Services (TDES). The research was conducted during an internship program in the administration division, focusing on the management of participants' claims and non-claims. The results show that both systems successfully improved service efficiency by speeding up the claims submission process and monitoring the submission status. However, there are challenges such as reliance on internet connectivity and limited system capacity, which resulted in decreased participant satisfaction. Therefore, further optimization of technological infrastructure and improvement of participants' digital literacy are needed to maximize system performance. This study is expected to contribute to the further development of technology-based administrative systems and improve service efficiency for participants.Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi efektivitas sistem administrasi pelayanan yang diterapkan oleh PT Taspen (Persero) KC Bandung melalui penggunaan Taspen One Hour Online Services (TOOS) dan Taspen Digital Enterprise Services (TDES). Penelitian ini dilakukan pada bagian administrasi, dengan fokus pada pengelolaan klaim dan non-klaim peserta. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kedua sistem ini berhasil meningkatkan efisiensi pelayanan dengan mempercepat proses pengajuan klaim dan pemantauan status pengajuan. Namun, terdapat kendala seperti ketergantungan pada koneksi internet dan kapasitas sistem yang terbatas, yang mengakibatkan penurunan kepuasan peserta. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan optimalisasi lebih lanjut pada infrastruktur teknologi dan peningkatan literasi digital peserta untuk memaksimalkan kinerja sistem. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi dalam pengembangan lebih lanjut sistem administrasi berbasis teknologi, serta meningkatkan efisiensi pelayanan kepada peserta

This research aims to analyze the impact of technologies such as Internet of Things (IoT)-based energy management systems, big data analytics, and cloud computing on reducing energy consumption and carbon footprints of companies. The methodology used is a qualitative approach with in-depth analysis of various case studies in the e-business sector that have successfully implemented green technologies. The findings indicate that the adoption of environmentally friendly technologies not only benefits the environment but also enhances operational efficiency and significantly reduces energy costs. With collaboration between government, private sector, and communities, the e-business sector can play a crucial role in global efforts against climate change.Artikel ini membahas peran inovasi teknologi dalam e-bisnis sebagai solusi untuk efisiensi energi dan pengurangan emisi karbon, dengan fokus pada penerapan berbagai teknologi ramah lingkungan yang dapat meningkatkan keberlanjutan operasional perusahaan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dampak penerapan teknologi seperti sistem manajemen energi berbasis Internet of Things (IoT), analitik data besar, dan cloud computing terhadap pengurangan konsumsi energi dan jejak karbon perusahaan. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan analisis mendalam terhadap berbagai studi kasus di sektor e- bisnis yang telah berhasil menerapkan teknologi hijau. ANALISIS SUPPLY CHAIN PADA USAHA MIKRO: STUDI KASUS RICE BOWL TRUSTMEE DI KOTA METRO
Get PDFResearch on supply chain analysis has been done a lot and tends to be only for large companies, while research on supply chains in micro businesses, especially in the culinary sector in Indonesia is still limited. This study aims to analyze the structure and flow of Rice Bowl Trustmee's supply chain, identify key challenges in supply chain management, evaluate strategies implemented to overcome these challenges, and provide recommendations to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of supply chain management in similar micro enterprises. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data is collected through in-depth interviews with business owners, operational managers, suppliers, and customers, as well as direct observation of operational processes. Data analysis techniques include data reduction, data presentation, thematic analysis, and conclusion drawing to ensure the accuracy and consistency of research findings. The results of the study stated that Rice Bowl Trustmee implements a simple supply chain involving local raw material suppliers, order-based production, temporary storage, distribution through online services, and digital promotion. The main challenges faced include limited storage capacity, dependence on a single supplier, and fluctuations in market demand. Order-based production strategies help reduce the waste of raw materials, while the use of social media is effective for promotion. However, reliance on one major supplier and online distribution platform poses risks that need to be managed.Penelitian mengenai analisis supply chain telah banyak dilakukan dan lebih cenderung pada perusahaan besar saja, sedangkan penelitian mengenai supply chain pada usaha mikro, khususnya di sektor kuliner di Indonesia masih terbatas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis struktur dan alur rantai pasok Rice Bowl Trustmee, mengidentifikasi tantangan utama dalam pengelolaan supply chain, mengevaluasi strategi yang diterapkan untuk mengatasi tantangan tersebut, serta memberikan rekomendasi untuk meningkatkan efisiensi dan efektivitas manajemen rantai pasok pada usaha mikro serupa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam dengan pemilik usaha, manajer operasional, pemasok, dan pelanggan, serta observasi langsung terhadap proses operasional. Teknik analisis data meliputi reduksi data, penyajian data, analisis tematik, dan penarikan kesimpulan untuk memastikan keakuratan dan konsistensi temuan penelitian. Hasil penelitian menyatakan bahwa Rice Bowl Trustmee menerapkan rantai pasok sederhana yang melibatkan pemasok bahan baku lokal, produksi berbasis pesanan, penyimpanan sementara, distribusi melalui layanan online, dan promosi digital. Tantangan utama yang dihadapi meliputi keterbatasan kapasitas penyimpanan, ketergantungan pada pemasok tunggal, dan fluktuasi permintaan pasar. Strategi produksi berbasis pesanan membantu mengurangi pemborosan bahan baku, sementara penggunaan media sosial efektif untuk promosi.
