Exploring factors that affect Kindergarten teachers’ use of picturebooks with gender non-conforming fictional characters
Kindergarten environments are critical settings for early socialization and development of gender perceptions. Teachers play a significant role in shaping children’s understanding of gender, as do the materials and media they introduce to the classroom. The aim of this study is to explore the factors that affect kindergarten teachers’ use of picturebooks with gender non-conforming fictional characters in their teaching process. For the purposes of this research a quantitative approach was utilized. A sample of eighty-five kindergarten teachers answered a semi-structured questionnaire. A descriptive statistical analysis was performed, presenting the factors which affect kindergarten teachers’ use of gendered oriented picturebooks. Results show that factors which mostly affect kindergarten teachers are a) related to the educational framework, b) interwoven with teachers’ own personal beliefs, and c) referring to parents’ influence. The comparison of mean scores of factors in different academic qualification groups shows that highly qualified teachers with the least working experience are not affected negatively in their use of picturebooks with gender non-conforming characters in their teaching process. Those teachers are open to gender diversity, are not discouraged by the parents’ influence and take advantage of both the variety of LGBTQ picturebooks offered and the methodological framework of the Early Years Curriculum to deconstruct gender binaries. Mapping the factors could reveal the need for enhancing teachers’ continuing education on diversity matters and teachers’ resilience towards parents’ influence. Furthermore, findings reveal the need for designing a more detailed and practical methodological framework regarding the approach of gender issues in early years

To implement criminal law, it is necessary to take steps to maintain the legal order of society. This method is known as criminal procedural law. The purpose of the Criminal Procedure Code is to seek and obtain or at least approach the material truth, the complete truth. The Indonesian criminal justice system consists of the police, prosecutors, district courts and correctional institutions as law enforcement officers. The four organs are closely related and limit each other. With the aim of being able to explain an alleged criminal act, evidence is needed to support that a crime has occurred. Evidence is directly or indirectly related to the crime. Direct evidence includes victims who suffered physically or mentally, including witnesses who saw or heard that a crime had occurred. Examination of witnesses has an important role in criminal proceedings by following the principles of unnus tetis nulus tetis (witnesses are not witnesses) and testimonium de auditu (statements of other people are not valid evidence). In the process of examining witnesses, many things go together. This is possible because of the principle of justice which is fast, easy and cheap. Because based on this principle, both the public prosecutor and the judge are obliged to review the defendant's case as soon as possible, especially for defendants who are in detention. That if the witness examination is carried out simultaneously. This can be done because of the principle of a fast, simple and low-cost trial, but how can the validity of witnesses who are examined jointly at trial be known, the implementation of witness examinations between mitigating and aggravating ones is not directly examined together, but separately and what distinguishes it is the time when the examination is carried out because it involves the validity and provision of interrelated information. Desa Unggul Finansial: Pelatihan Pengelolaan Keuangan pada Generasi Muda Pelajar untuk Mendukung Usaha Desa di Bangkalan
Pengabdian masyarakat merupakan bagian integral dari tridharma perguruan tinggi, di mana dosen berperan aktif dalam mendukung dan membangun masyarakat melalui berbagai kegiatan. Program Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM) yang dilakukan di Bangkalan, Jawa Timur, bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan manajemen keuangan di kalangan generasi muda, khususnya pelajar. Kegiatan terdiri dari pelatihan dan penyuluhan yang menyasar sektor pertanian, peternakan, perdagangan dan UMKM. Selain itu, program ini diintegrasikan dengan konsep Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) untuk memberikan pengalaman langsung kepada mahasiswa sebagai fasilitator. Metode pelaksanaan PKM meliputi survei kebutuhan, pengembangan materi pelatihan, pelaksanaan pelatihan di SMA 1 Bangkalan, serta evaluasi dan pendampingan pasca-pelatihan. Evaluasi dilakukan melalui kuisioner, sesi tanya jawab, dan pemantauan berkelanjutan terhadap penerapan praktik manajemen keuangan. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman dan keterampilan peserta dalam pengelolaan keuangan usaha desa. Topik pelatihan mencakup perencanaan dan penganggaran keuangan, pelaporan keuangan, analisis keuangan, pengendalian internal, transparansi dan akuntabilitas, serta strategi pendanaan dan pembiayaan. Metode pengajaran interaktif seperti kuliah, studi kasus, diskusi kelompok, dan latihan praktis digunakan untuk memperkuat pemahaman peserta. Tantangan yang dihadapi selama lokakarya termasuk literasi keuangan yang rendah dan keterbatasan waktu. Untuk mengatasi ini, fasilitator menggunakan bahasa sederhana dan memberikan dukungan tindak lanjut melalui sumber daya tambahan dan program mentoring. Program PKM mendukung indikator kinerja utama perguruan tinggi dalam pengabdian kepada masyarakat dan pembelajaran mahasiswa yang relevan dengan kebutuhan nyata di lapangan. Rekomendasi untuk penelitian lebih lanjut dan kolaborasi dengan pemangku kepentingan terkait diharapkan dapat meningkatkan keberlanjutan dan efektivitas pengelolaan keuangan usaha desa di masa mendatang
Analisis Faktor Pendukung dan Penghambat Strategi Komunikasi GenPI Luwu Utara di Media Sosial Terhadap Peningkatan Jumlah Wisatawan
GenPI Luwu Utara memiliki potensi yang kuat dalam membangun identitasnya terhadap pengembangan serta promosi destinasi wisata yang menarik, dengan fokus pada keunikan budaya lokal, alam, atau kegiatan wisata yang spesifik dan bernilai. Memanfaatkan teknologi dan platform digital untuk memperluas jangkauan promosi. Dukungan dari pemerintah daerah, serta kerjasama dengan stakeholder lokal seperti pengelola objek wisata, hotel, restoran, dan lainnya, dapat memperkuat promosi dan fasilitas yang tersedia. Kurangnya kesadaran masyarakat lokal tentang pentingnya pariwisata berkelanjutan, serta pendidikan tentang cara memanfaatkan media sosial secara efektif untuk promosi pariwisata, juga dapat menjadi penghambat. Perubahan tren dalam perilaku konsumen dan teknologi baru yang berkembang pesat memerlukan adaptasi terus-menerus dalam strategi komunikasi. Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif melalui wawancara mendalam terhadap pengurus Genpi. GenPI Luwu Utara dapat mengidentifikasi kekuatan dan potensi penghambat dalam strategi komunikasi mereka di media sosial. Langkah-langkah yang tepat dalam mengatasi hambatan dan memanfaatkan pendukung dapat membantu meningkatkan jumlah wisatawan yang berkunjung, serta mempromosikan keindahan dan keunikannya sebagai destinasi wisata
Perbandingan Penerapan Metode Peer Group Dengan Metode Ceramah Dalam Pendidikan Kesehatan Terhadap Kesadaran Perilaku Sadari Terhadap Remaja Putri Di Smpn 1 Talaga Kabupaten Majalengka
Breast cancer is an urgent global health problem. It is estimated that more than 2 million new cases of breast cancer are diagnosed each year worldwide, making breast cancer the most common type of cancer in women. The aim of this research is to determine the comparison of the application of the peer group method with the lecture method in health education on awareness of BSE behavior in young women at SMPN 1 Talaga. This research used a pre-experimental method with a one group pre-test post-test design, which was carried out as a benchmark for the intervention. Post-test activities were carried out on the same day to minimize bias. The population in the study was 103 young women who were grade 9 students at SMPN 1 Talaga Majalengka. Based on the results of statistical tests using the paired sample t-test, with the help of SPSS version 21 with a significance level of α = 0.05, the result was p = 0.002, which means p 0.05, namely H1 is accepted, which means there is a difference between the application of the peer group method. using the lecture method in health education towards awareness of BSE behavior in young women at SMPN 1 Talaga. Health workers are expected to be able to adopt and apply peer group methods in health education in the community, especially among teenagers
Layanan Informasi Melalui Media Sosial Tiktok Terhadap Pemahaman Bahaya Pornografi Pada Peserta Didik di SMP Amal Bhakti Jati Mulyo Lampung Selatan
Perilaku pecandu pornografi disebabkan karena kurangnya pemahaman tentang bahaya pornografi. Pemahaman mengenai ragam-ragam bentuk pornografi, faktor-faktor penyebab kecanduan pornografi dan efek bahaya dari pornografi bagi kesehatan. Hal ini dapat dilihat pada peserta didik kelas VIII A dan VIII B yang kurang memahami bahaya pornografi sehingga perlu adanya upaya untuk meningkatkan pemahaman peserta didik tentang bahaya pornografi dengan memberikan layanan informasi melalui media sosial tiktok. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui pengaruh layanan informasi melalui media sosial titkok terhadap pemahaman bahaya pornografi pada peserta didik kelas VIII di SMP Amal Bhakti Jati Mulyo Lampung Selatan. Layanan informasi dilaksanakan melalui media sosial tiktok karena tiktok menjadi tontonan terbanyak pada remaja saat ini. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dalam bentuk quasi eksperimen dengan desain non equivalent control group design. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini yaitu menggunakan angket, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Sampel pada penelitian ini berjumlah 24 peserta didik, 13 peserta didik dari kelas VIII A sebagai kelompok eksperimen dan 11 peserta didik dari kelas VIII B sebagai kelompok kontrol, sampel ini ditentukan dengan metode purposive sampling. Pada kelompok eksperimen peneliti memberikan layanan informasi tentang bahaya pornografi melalui media sosial tiktok sedangkan pada kelompok kontrol menggunakan media slide power point. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, diketahui rata-rata pretest pada kelompok eksperimen adalah 8,9 sedangkan pada kelompok kontrol 9,4. Setelah diberikan treatment menggunakan layanan informasi diperoleh rata-rata posttest sebesar 29,9 pada kelompok ekperimen dan sebesar 27,2 pada kelompok kontrol. Pengaruh layanan informasi terhadap pemahaman bahaya pornografi dapat dilihat dari hasil N-Gain pada kelompok ekperimen diperoleh rata-rata 21 sedangkan pada kelompok kontrol diperoleh rata-rata 17,8, yang berarti rata-rata kelompok eksperimen lebih tinggi dibanding kelompok kontrol. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemberian layanan informasi melalui media sosial tiktok berpengaruh terhadap pemahaman bahaya pornografi pada peserta didik kelas VIII di SMP Amal Bhakti Jati Mulyo Lampung Selatan
Pengaruh pemberian square stepping exercis terhadap keseimbangan dinamis lansia (The effect of giving square stepping exercises on the dynamic balance of the elderly)
Keseimbangan merupakan kemampuan tubuh untuk mempertahankan postur tubuh yang stabil dan keseimbangan dalam aktivitas motorik, sistem regulasi dan faktor lingkungan yang merupakan faktor yang berhubungan dengan terbentuknya keseimbangan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian Square Stepping Exercise terhadap keseimbangan dinamis lansia. Metode penelitian. Desain penelitian yang digunakan dalam metode ini adalah Quasi eksperimen dengan pendekatan one group pre test-post test. Teknik pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan cara purposive sampling yaitu sesuai dengan kriteria inklusi dan eksklusi. Berdasarkan uji statistik, hasil perhitungan menunjukkan rata-rata keseimbangan dinamis sebelum pemberian Square Stepping Exercise sebesar 25,90 dan setelah pemberian sebesar 28,30. Terdapat nilai p = 0,000 α (0,05). Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemberian Square Stepping Exercise dapat meningkatkan keseimbangan dinamis pada lansia.Abstract. The aim of this research was to determine the effect of giving the Square Stepping Exercise on the dynamic balance of the elderly. Research method. Based on statistical tests, the calculation results showed that the average dynamic balance before giving the Square stepping exercise was 25.90 and after giving it was 28.30. There is a p value = 0.000 α (0.05). So it can be concluded that giving the Square Stepping Exercise can improve dynamic balance in the elderly
Program Psikoedukasi: Anti Cemas Menghadapi Skripsi pada Mahasiswa Universitas Esa Unggul (Psychoeducation Program: Anti-Anxiety In Facing Thesis Among Students of Esa Unggul University)
Kecemasan dalam proses pengerjaan skripsi kerap kali dialami oleh mahasiswa yang tentunya dapat membuat rasa tidak nyaman. Kecemasan mengerjakan skripsi juga disertai dampak fisik seperti ritme tidur yang terganggu, jantung yang berdetak kencang, sakit kepala, tangan mengeluarkan keringat, rasa mual pada perut, dan mulut kering. Kecemasan yang tinggi mendorong mahasiswa tidak mampu menyelesaikan skripsi dengan baik sehingga mereka sulit lulus tepat waktu. Hal ini mendorong perlunya dilakukan sosialisasi untuk mengatasi masalah kecemasan yang sering dirasakan oleh mahasiswa. Melalui pengabdian masyarakat ini yang bertemakan “Anti Cemas Menghadapi Skripsi” yang ditujukan pada mahasiswa Fakultas Psikologi Universitas Esa Unggul untuk memfasilitasi mahasiswa dalam mengenali gejala kecemasan, mengelola kecemasan dan strategi mengatasi kecemasan selama mengerjakan skripsi. Metode kegiatan ini berupa program psikoedukasi melalui webinar dengan memberikan dua materi yaitu tentang kecemasan dalam menghadapi skripsi dan strategi anti cemas hadapi skripsi. Kegiatan dilaksanakan pada 13 November 2023. Hasil dari kegiatan ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara sebelum dan sesudah diberikan psikoedukasi webinar “Anti Cemas Menghadapi Skripsi” pada mahasiswa Fakultas Psikologi Universitas Esa Unggul. Dengan demikian, psikoedukasi webinar anti cemas menghadapi skripsi terbukti efektif untuk mengurangi tingkat kecemasan pada mahasiswa Fakultas Psikologi Universitas Esa Unggul.Abstract: Students frequently suffer nervousness when they write their theses, in which it can undoubtedly make them uncomfortable. Physical symptoms including headaches, sweating palms, dry lips, nausea in the stomach, and irregular sleep patterns are also associated with anxiety over working on a thesis. Students with high levels of anxiety struggle to finish their theses, which hinders their ability to graduate on time. This highlights the necessity of outreach in order to address the anxiety issues that students frequently experience. In order to help students from Esa Unggul University's Faculty of Psychology identify symptoms of anxiety, manage their anxiety, and develop coping mechanisms while working on their theses, a community service project with the theme "Anti-Anxiety Facing Thesis" was implemented. This activity uses a webinar-based psychoeducational program that offers two resources: information on anxiety when confronted with a thesis and ways to combat anxiety while facing a thesis. The event took place on November 13, 2023. The results of this activity demonstrated that there was a substantial difference between before and after the psychoeducation webinar "Anti Anxiety Facing Thesis" was delivered to students at the Faculty of Psychology, Esa Unggul University. As a result, students at Esa Unggul University's Faculty of Psychology have reported feeling less anxious after attending the anti-anxiety psychoeducational webinar about theses
Kolaborasi Praktisi dan Akademisi Dalam Pembentukan dan Pendampingan Kader Kesehatan di Desa Sungai Jelai (Collaboration of Practitioners and Academics in the Formation and Mentoring of Health Cadres in Sungai Jelai Village)
Desa Sungai Jelai merupakan suatu desa yang terletak di Kecamatan Tambang Ulang, Kabupaten Tanah Laut. Di balik keindahan alamnya, desa ini memiliki data kualitas kesehatan masyarakat yang rendah ditandai dengan terjadinya beberapa kematian masyarakat yang diakibatkan penyakit degeneratif dan menular. Salah satu upaya meningkatkan kualitas hidup dan kesejahteraan masyarakatnya adalah dengan melaksanakan program kaderisasi kesehatan. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini berlangsung selama kurang lebih empat bulan dengan berbagai tahapan, antara lain survei dan koordinasi, pemberian edukasi dan pelatihan penanganan penyakit degeneratif, kardiovaskular, dan infeksius, pemberian pelatihan inovasi teknologi serta pendampingan kader kesehatan dalam mengedukasi masyarakatnya. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan pengetahuan kader kesehatan Desa Sungai Jelai terkait penyakit degeneratif, kardiovaskular, dan infeksius dan terjadi peningkatan kemampuan kader terhadap praktik penggunaan alat-alat pemeriksaan kesehatan. Selain itu, terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan kader terkait layanan home care dan telemedicine. Implementasi kegiatan ini diakhiri dengan pendampingan pelayanan kesehatan oleh kader kepada masyarakat dengan melaukan pengecekan kesehatan dan edukasi. Berdasarkan hasil kegiatan, diharapkan kualitas kesehatan masyarakat Desa Sungai Jelai meningkat melalui adanya program kader kesehatan yang telah diedukasi dan diberi pelatihan terkait penanganan, pencegahan, dan deteksi dini penyakit-penyakit degeneratif, kardiovaskular, dan infeksius.Abstract. Sungai Jelai Village is a village located in Tambang Ulang District, Tanah Laut Regency. Behind its natural beauty, this village has low public health quality data marked by several deaths caused by degenerative and infectious diseases. One effort to improve the quality of life and welfare of its people is to implement a health cadre program. This community service activity lasted for approximately four months with various stages, including surveys and coordination, providing education and training in handling degenerative, cardiovascular, and infectious diseases, providing technology innovation training and mentoring health cadres in educating their community. The results of the activity showed a significant increase in the knowledge of Sungai Jelai Village health cadres regarding degenerative, cardiovascular, and infectious diseases and an increase in the cadres' ability to practice using health examination tools. In addition, there was an increase in the cadres' knowledge regarding home care and telemedicine services. The implementation of this activity ended with mentoring of health services by cadres to the community by conducting health checks and education. Based on the results of the activities, it is expected that the quality of public health in Sungai Jelai Village will increase through the existence of a health cadre program that has been educated and given training related to the handling, prevention, and early detection of degenerative, cardiovascular, and infectious diseases
Hubungan Penggunaan Media Sosial Dengan Konsentrasi Belajar Pada Remaja SMP
Various groups have mastered the use of social media, if social media is not used wisely, it can reduce productivity and concentration when carrying out daily routines. Excessive use of social media for students can have an impact on the field of education which results in students becoming less enthusiastic about learning, but more often accessing things that are not related to learning and can imitate negative lifestyles that exist on social media, which can lead to learning achievement. decrease. Less than optimal learning concentration can affect unsatisfactory learning outcomes. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the use of social media and the concentration of students studying at SMP Negeri 1 Ciruas in 2023. This research method is a quantitative method with a cross sectional approach. The sample in this study amounted to 110 respondents, the sample sorting technique was by means of data taken through the absence of each class and then the data on the names of the students were entered into the shuffle, the names that came out would be used as respondents. The measuring tool in this study was a questionnaire using a measurement scale in the form of a Likert scale. Data analysis in this study was univariate analysis and bivariate analysis using the SPSS program. The results of the Chi Square test obtained p = 0.008 so it can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between the use of social media and learning concentration. From the results of the analysis, the value of OR=3.651 was also obtained, meaning that students who use social media negatively will be 3.6 times at risk of experiencing poor concentration in learning. This research is expected to be a guideline or description for future researchers to be able to conduct research using other research methods, namely quantitative methods
