Discours romanesque, médiation et vivre-ensemble
This article is concerned with an intercultural mediation whose three poles are the novelistic discourse, the literary critic and the audience. In other words, by calling upon theoretical contributions from semiotics and ethical criticism, we intend to see what a literary criticism dedicated to living together would consist of. More precisely, we first highlight the focal points that the literary critic, being in a median position between a work of fiction and its potential receiver, would be expected to make explicit. In a second step, we show how a work on textual values would be necessary for a successful intercultural mediation. Furthermore, along the way, our contribution, with illustrations, joins theory to practice

The Role of Parents in Achieving the Objectives of Therapeutic Kindergartens in Jerusalem from the Points of View of Parents and Teachers
This study aimed to define the role of parents in achieving the objectives of therapeutic kindergartens in Jerusalem from the points of view of parents and teachers. The researchers adopted the descriptive method of research and developed two questionnaires to measure the role of parents in achieving the objectives of kindergartens from the points of view of parents on the one hand and the teachers on the other hand. Both questionnaires were reliable according to Cronbach’s Alpha. The sample consisted of 80 teachers out of 90 from therapeutic kindergartens in Jerusalem, who were selected by a comprehensive survey. It also consisted of (146) out of (636) from the parents, who were selected randomly from the study population. The results showed that there was a huge interest from the parents in achieving the objectives of therapeutic kindergartens from the points of view of both parents and teachers. It also showed that there were no significant differences in the average of assessments of the parents’ role due to variables of age or economic level. In addition, there were no significant differences in the fields of the participation in the educational plans and relationship between parents and kindergarten or the role of parents in supporting the kindergarten’s staff due to the gender (male or female). On the other hand, there are some differences in role of parents, considering the kindergarten as a place to contain child and growth properties due to gender (male or female) in favor of females. In addition, there were some differences due to the educational qualification between (Diploma and Bachelor degree) in favor of the diploma, and between (diploma or Master’s degree and higher) in favor of the diploma. There were no differences in the average of teachers’ assessments due to two factors (gender and age), but there were differences due to the educational qualification between (diploma and Bachelor degree) in favor of Bachelor degree, and between (diploma and Master’s degree and higher) in favor of the Master’s degree and higher. The researchers recommended that the administration of therapeutic kindergartens in Jerusalem must support the role of parents in these therapeutic kindergartens to achieve the objectives of kindergartens, since it is important for both parents and teachers, and it has positive consequences for children with special needs in kindergartens

Three-Rigid-Link Manipulator Robot Inverse Dynamic Model Using ANN Based on PID Controller
This work proposes an inverse dynamics model of a three-rigid -link manipulator robot employing a PID controller based on artificial neural networks. In order to attain precise position, neural network control algorithms are designed to handle nonlinear issues including robot manipulator control and uncertainty compensation. An artificial neural network with two layers that uses feedforward training is trained using the back propagation technique. By just fusing the ANN with other traditional control techniques, the suggested controller gives the network more information on the composition and dynamics of the system. The PID controller generates data that is used to train neural network. The simulation\u27s outcome demonstrates that using an ANN in conjunction with a PID controller enhances performance and outperforms a traditional PID
Sustainable Clay Brick Manufacturing: A Review of Mechanical Properties, Firing Technologies, Emissions, and Control Strategies
The clay brick industry, a cornerstone of global construction, faces increasing pressure to mitigate its substantial environmental footprint and improve the sustainability of its practices. The energy-intensive firing process, often reliant on coal combustion, generates significant atmospheric emissions, contributing to climate change and local air pollution. Furthermore, achieving desired mechanical properties in the final product is essential for ensuring the structural integrity and longevity of buildings. This review provides a comprehensive analysis of the chemical and thermodynamic processes governing clay brick firing, exploring their influence on both emissions and the final product\u27s mechanical strength, durability, and water absorption. We examine the key chemical transformations of clay minerals during firing, including dehydration, decarbonation, oxidation, and vitrification, and analyze the combustion reactions of various fuels, including coal, biomass, natural gas, and alternative fuels. We present a comparative evaluation of diverse kiln technologies, ranging from traditional intermittent kilns (e.g., clamp, downdraft) to more efficient continuous kilns (e.g., FCBTK, Hoffman, tunnel, VSBK, zigzag), emphasizing their energy consumption, emission profiles, and impact on the mechanical properties of the fired bricks. The review also explores strategies for enhancing sustainability in the brick industry, including adopting cleaner fuels, optimizing kiln operations and implementing best practices, utilizing hybrid systems, and incorporating industrial and agricultural waste materials. We discuss the significant role of regional contexts, socioeconomic factors, and policy interventions in promoting sustainable practices. Finally, we underscore the importance of life-cycle assessments for evaluating the full environmental impact of brick production, from raw material extraction to building demolition and material recycling and highlight key areas for future research to advance sustainable brick manufacturing practices globally
