Deney sonuçları incelendiğinde, diyagonal basınç çubuğu genişliğinin duvar köşegen uzunluğunun 1/3’üne yaklaşma eğiliminde olduğu görülmüştürIn reinforced concrete buildings, brick walls applied in the form of separated walls are considered as carrier elements in structural analyses. When previous studies and the effects of the earthquakes are examined, it is seen that the brick filled walls provide many benefits such as strength and rigidity to the structures where they are present. The fact that filled walls behave like a diagonal compression strut and transmit the force applied on them in diagonal axes when put under horizontal force lead the modelling of filled wall as diagonal compression struts in the analyses. Although there have been many theoretical studies aiming at determining the width of diagonal compression struts, no comprehensive experimental study has ever been conducted to discover how they contribute to force transmission. In order to partly fill this knowledge gap, whole brick walls and diagonal brick walls with different band width were built and observed strengths of the diagonal walls were compared to those of the whole walls. The experiments were conducted at 1/2 scale by using a total of 24 brick walls of 8 different types each having 3 replicates which were hinged in four corners and exposed to uniform horizontal forces. The results of the experiments indicate that diagonal compression strut width tends to approximate 1/3 of the diagonal length of the walls

A detailed survey of Turkish automatic speech recognition
Significant improvements have been made in automatic speech recognition
(ASR) systems in terms of both the general technology and the software
used. Despite these advancements, however, there is still an important
difference between the recognition performance of humans and machines.
This work focuses on the studies conducted in the field of Turkish
speech recognition, the progress made in such studies in recent years,
the language-specific constraints, the performance results achieved in
the applications developed to date, and the development of a general
scheme for researchers wishing to develop an ASR system for the Turkish
language. A comprehensive study on the Turkish language, including all
literature and speech recognition systems, was prepared. There has been
significant progress in the languages of developed countries in terms of
ASR systems, but it was observed in this work that the opposite is true
for the Turkish language. The lack of labor force and material resources
remains the biggest obstacle to developing better systems. As a result,
concrete studies are needed to achieve an ASR system with performance
equivalent to the human level for the Turkish language

Case Series of Headache Characteristics in COVID-19: Headache Can Be an Isolated Symptom
The inhibitory effects of isolated constituents from Plantago major subsp. major L. on collagenase, elastase and hyaluronidase enzymes: Potential wound healer.
Plantago major L. which is a medicinal plant with important biological activities, commonly used as traditional medicine. Potential inhibitory activities of the aqueous extract and three isolated constituents calceorioside B (1), homoplantaginin (hispidulin-7-O-glucoside) (2) and plantamajoside (3) from the aerial parts of Plantago major subsp. major L. (Plantaginaceae) have been tested against hyaluronidase, collagenase, and elastase, which play critical roles in wound pathogenesis. Even though, the extract (27.04%), and among the isolated compounds, calceorioside B (41.16%) exerted significant inhibition against hyaluronidase enzyme, homoplantaginin and plantamajoside were found to be inactive. Similar results were obtained from collagenase enzyme inhibition test. The extract (21.92%) and calceorioside B (28.34%) also caused notable inhibition in this test. However, no remarkable inhibition was observed in the presence of elastase enzyme. The experimental data revealed that P. major subsp. major displayed remarkable inhibitory activity against hyaluronidase and collagenase enzymes. In vitro enzyme activity of P. major subsp. major is reported for the first time in the current study
