Perencanaan Analisis Pengendalian Kualitas Untuk Menurunkan Cacat Thickness Produk Kemasan Sauce Powder Pada Mesin Extruder Dengan Metode Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA)
PT. XYZ Packaging Division is a company engaged in the food sector, especially the packaging sector. In 1 year of sauce powder packaging production, there were defective products produced exceeding the company's permitted limits, and the highest defect value was 4.7%. The highest percentage of defects occurred in the extruder process, this study will focus on the analysis of defective products produced from the extruder process. The high level of defective products in the sauce powder packaging production process occurs in the extruder process, namely thickness variation type defects. To reduce the level of defective products that occurred in this study, failure mode and effect analysis (FMEA) and seven tools were used, this method can analyze and reduce the level of product defects through a product failure model based on calculations of severity, occurrence and detection, then the RPN (risk Priority Number) value will be known, the cause of failure that has the highest RPN, that is the possible cause of high defects produced in the production process. From the results of the study, it is known that the dominant factor that causes the high level of defects in thickness variations is caused by dirty material factors and problematic machine factors in the polymer flow process. The results of problem solving with FMEA and seventools obtained a significant reduction in the level of defects in the extruder process from 3% to 1.4%, the recommended improvement results can reduce the level of defects in the extruder process to below the standard set by the company, which is 2.5%
Characteristics of Patients with Positive Cervical Cancer Screening using Visual Inspection with Acetic Acid (VIA) in Bantul District 2023: A Descriptive Study
Background: Cervical cancer is the second leading cause of death in Indonesia and is one of the largest burdens on health costs. This study aims to determine the distribution of characteristics of positive cervical cancer screening patients in the Bantul District. Method: A descriptive study using data from cervical cancer screening reports at Bantul District Health Office in 2023 was conducted to observe treatment outcomes, demographic factors (education, age, working status, marital status, and address), nutritional status, and behavior. Cervical cancer screening was done using Visual Inspection with Acetic Acid (VIA). Proportions were calculated for univariate analysis. Results: There were 1,587 females screened and 40 people (2,5%) were positive. Among those positive cases, only 7.5% received cryotherapy and 55% were referred to other health centers (either primary centers with cryotherapy facilities or secondary centers for further treatment). Most of positive cases married (25/25; 100%), non-drinker of alcohol (25/25; 100%), non-smoker (25/25; 100%), had high education levels (17/23; 73.9%), overweight (15/22; 68.2%), 20-44 years old (26/40; 65%), were not working (16/25; 64%), did not regularly consume fruits and vegetables (16/25; 64%), and active physical activity (13/25; 52%). There were variables with missing data ranging from 37.5% to 45%, with the variable that had the most missing data being BMI, while the variable with the most complete data was age. The positive cases were distributed across 9 sub-districts (52,9%). Conclusion: The majority of positive cases were married, non-drinkers of alcohol, non-smokers, higher education levels, overweight, 20-44 years old, not working, unhealthy dietary habits, active physical activity, and 37.5% unknown follow-up. These findings underline the need for targeted interventions to improve follow-up care and conduct follow-up studies regarding risk factors of cervical cancer
Kaizen Sebagai Perbaikan Pengadaan Melalui Optimalisasi Biaya Bahan Baku Langsung (Studi Kasus)
Penelitian ini menyelidiki penerapan Kaizen sebagai strategi peningkatan pengadaan yang bertujuan untuk mengoptimalkan biaya bahan baku langsung di industri food and beverage (F&B), dengan fokus pada studi kasus PT XYZ di Jakarta. Penelitian ini menyoroti kebutuhan penting akan proses pengadaan yang efisien di tengah pertumbuhan ekonomi yang cepat dan persaingan pasar yang semakin ketat, yang menyebabkan inefisiensi dalam praktik manufaktur tradisional. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan metode campuran, yang menggabungkan analisis kuantitatif dari perubahan biaya dengan wawasan kualitatif tentang tantangan implementasi Kaizen. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa Kaizen secara efektif mengurangi biaya bahan baku langsung sebesar 33,93% melalui pengurangan limbah dan negosiasi pemasok yang lebih baik. Selain itu, implementasi perangkat lunak manajemen berbasis cloud meningkatkan kontrol persediaan, mengurangi biaya penyimpanan sebesar 33%, dan mempercepat kecepatan pengadaan dari tiga hari menjadi satu hari. Studi ini menekankan bahwa peningkatan berkelanjutan mendorong hubungan pemasok yang lebih kuat dan budaya organisasi yang kolaboratif, yang menunjukkan bahwa sektor lain dapat mengambil manfaat dari strategi serupa untuk meningkatkan efisiensi pengadaan
Kinerja Digester Biogas Tahap Tunggal yang Mengolah Limbah Makanan pada Suhu Tropis
The degradation process of food waste with anaerobic digestion technology can be performed in a single-stage bioreactor. This study examined the effect of a single-stage digester configuration on biogas production using cow manure inoculum at a tropical ambient temperature of 27.3 ± 1 °C. The single-stage digester had a working volume of 369 L. Feeding food waste into the bioreactor was carried out 5 times a week with a maximum OLR of 0.8 Kg/day. The average biogas production was 90.6 L/day. Also, the results showed that applying a single-stage digester configuration in degrading food waste could produce a carbon recovery of 71.41% in the carbon mass balance analysis. These results indicate that the single-stage digester configuration performed well. The single-stage digester configuration gradually increased biogas production
Desain Konseptual UAV Long Endurance Low Altitude (LELA) untuk Misi Pengawasan Jarak Jauh
This study discusses the conceptual design process of an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) featuring Long Endurance Low Altitude (LELA) characteristics, intended for long-range surveillance missions. The design is based on a quantitative approach through the estimation of initial performance parameters such as wing loading, power loading, maximum lift coefficient (CLmax), and lift-to-drag ratio (L/D). Technical data were obtained from literature and preliminary numerical calculations, then used to determine the main geometric dimensions and power requirements of the aircraft. The design results show that a UAV with a take-off weight of 15.08 kg, wing area of 0.2317 m², and cruise power of 67.34 Watts is capable of flying for 79 minutes with an L/D ratio of 13.69. The center of gravity (CG) is located 0.454 m from the aircraft nose, indicating good longitudinal stability. This research provides an essential early- stage contribution as a foundation for further development in the preliminary design phase
Desain Kendali Otomatis Prototype Inlet-Outlet Air Limbah KPPL
Wastewater treatment and retention ponds (KPPL) in industry play a crucial role in waste management. Controlling the inlet and outlet valves is essential to maintain flow balance and process efficiency. Currently, the KPPL at PT.X uses a manual method in valve control that relies on visual observation and sampling, which is limited in accuracy and responsiveness. Therefore, it is necessary to design an automatic valve control prototype to improve the performance of the wastewater treatment system at PT. X. This study aims to build an automatic control system that uses level and pH sensors and a DC motor to regulate wastewater flow. This system uses hysteresis on-off control to prevent excessive energy consumption and extend component life by reducing the frequency of valve opening and closing. The ultrasonic sensor detects the water level, while the pH sensor monitors the water quality before being discharged into the sea. Testing shows the accuracy of the sensors, with an average error of 0.94% for the level sensor and 0.9% for the pH sensor. Hysteresis control keeps the pump and motor off when the water level is within the safe range, which increases efficiency and reduces wear. This system provides more precise control over wastewater flow, ensures safe and environmentally friendly disposal, and reduces manual intervention and the risk of operational errors.Keywords— hysteresis, on-off control, KPPL, pH, ultrasonic senso

Analisis Karakteristik Pekerja Wanita Pada Usaha Batu Bata di Kecamatan Kuala Kabupaten Nagan Raya
ABSTRACTThe pressed brick industry is one of the fastest growing sectors, particularly in Kuala Sub-district, Nagan Raya Regency, which has 539 brick industries. Women's participation in this industry not only supports the family economy but also contributes to the dynamics of the labor market and the welfare of their families. This study aims to describe the characteristics of the female workforce in the brick industry in Kuala District, using a descriptive qualitative method with random sampling technique involving 41 brick industries as samples. The results showed that the majority of female workers were in the age range of 39-40 years (43.1%) with an average work experience of three years (56.1%). Karakteristik Fisik dan Kimia Kecap Ikan Kuniran (Upeneus sulphureus) dengan Penambahan Sari Nanas (Ananas comosus)
Kecap ikan merupakan salah satu produk perikanan hasil fermentasi dengan bahan baku ikan. Ikan yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu ikan kuniran yang merupakan salah satu jenis ikan rucah yang mempunyai nilai ekonomis rendah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui karaktersitik fisik dan kimia dari kecap ikan kuniran dengan penambahan sari nanas. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu eksperimental laboratorium dengan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap Faktorial (RALF) dengan faktor pertama yaitu A1( penambahan sari nanas 15%) dan faktor kedua waktu fermentasi (0, 7, 14, 21 dan 28 hari) dan garam 10%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penambahan sari nanas 15% dan lama fermentasi memiliki pengaruh yang nyata (p<0,05) terhadap rendemen, pH, kadar garam dan kadar amino nitrogen. Karakteristik asam amino didominasi oleh asam glutamat sebesar 0,72% dan leusin 0,49%. Kecap ikan dengan penambahan sari nanas 15% pada hari ke-14 lebih disukai oleh panelis dan telah memenuhi standar SNI kecap ikan
Konjac Glucomannan: A Functional Dietary Fiber for Gut Health, Metabolic Regulation, and Clinical Applications – A Comprehensive Review
This study aims to review the potential of Konjac Glucomannan (KGM) as a functional dietary fiber in improving digestive health, regulating metabolism, and its clinical applications. The focus is on KGM's benefits in weight management, glycemic control, and modulation of gut microbiota. A comprehensive literature review was conducted to examine various studies on KGM's extraction methods, structural composition, physiological effects, and clinical uses. The review also addresses KGM’s regulatory status and safety to ensure appropriate dosing standards and long-term efficacy. Results demonstrate that KGM forms a gel matrix in the gastrointestinal tract, promoting satiety, reducing glucose absorption, and influencing lipid metabolism. Additionally, KGM exhibits prebiotic properties that support beneficial gut microbiota and enhance gut barrier integrity through the production of short-chain fatty acids (SCFAs). KGM's role in improving metabolic health and digestive function highlights its potential as a promising dietary fiber. Future research should focus on optimizing KGM formulations, exploring its role in personalized nutrition based on microbiome composition, and investigating its impact on neurological and metabolic disorders. This review emphasizes the need for further clinical trials to better understand KGM's therapeutic applications and long-term effects in promoting health and preventing disease
