The effect of COVID-19 on tourists' attitudes and travel intentions: an empirical study on camping/glamping tourism in Turkey during COVID-19
Purpose - In this study, visitors' attitudes and behavioural intentions towards camping/glamping tourism in Turkey during the pandemic were investigated using the extended theory of planned behaviour (TPB). The model has been extended to include constructs such as risk perception and risk aversion attitudes that stem from COVID-19 to predict visitors' attitudes and behavioural intentions.
Design/methodology/approach - The data were collected through an online questionnaire from 432 participants who have experience and interest in camping/glamping tourism in Turkey. The responses were analysed using the structural equation modelling (SEM).
Findings - The findings show that besides the basic TPB structures, other added variables also significantly affect visitors' attitudes and intentions. Moreover, it has been observed that the risk perception and risk aversion attitude derived from COVID-19 increase negative emotions in visitors and decreased behavioural intentions.
Research limitations/implications - The results of the study are discussed for future research as well as its academic and practical implications.
Originality/value - This theoretical expansion is thought to increase the theory's predictive power in predicting visitors' behaviour during the pandemic

The effects of Reiki and hand massage on pain and fatigue in patients with rheumatoid arthritis
Objective: The present study was conducted in order to determine the effects of Reiki and hand massage on the pain and fatigue of patients with rheumatoid arthritis.
Methods: This study having a randomized controlled experimental design was carried out involving 105 individuals (35 in Reiki, 37 in hand massage, and 33 in control). Study data were collected between July 2020 and December 2021 by using a personal information form, Visual Analog Scale, and Piper Fatigue Scale.
Results: The mean pain score and the fatigue severity of patients decreased after Reiki and hand massage interventions and the difference was found to be statistically significant (p < 0.05). Reiki and hand massage reduced the pain and fatigue levels of patients having rheumatoid arthritis.
Conclusion: It is recommended to use Reiki and hand massage in managing the symptoms and providing patients with care
Effect of educational interventions on level of epilepsy knowledge in children with epilepsy and parents: Systematic review and meta-analysis
Aim and Objectives The aim of the study was to synthesise the effect of educational interventions on the level of epilepsy knowledge in children with epilepsy and parents. Background Educational interventions are commonly used to provide knowledge about epilepsy management. One of the most important responsibilities of nurses is to inform children with epilepsy and parents in a skilful way. Design Systematic review and meta-analysis based on PRISMA 2020. Methods We searched CINAHL, Cochrane Library, Science Direct, Web of Science, Ovid, PubMed, Scopus, Springer Link, ProQuest, TR Index ending March 2021. The review followed the PRISMA guidelines. This meta-analysis was analysed in Comprehensive Meta-Analysis version 3 software. The risk of bias of included studies was assessed with the Cochrane handbook. The results were the level of epilepsy knowledge of children and parents. Results Ten studies meeting the inclusion criteria were included in this meta-analysis, including four randomised studies and six non-randomised studies. Educational interventions had large effect on improving the level of epilepsy knowledge in children with epilepsy (p < .001, Hedge's g = 1.19) and parents (p < .001, Hedge's g = 1.41). As a result of the subgroup analyses, significant differences were found only in the type of educational intervention. It was found that traditional education is more effective than technology-based education in improving the level of epilepsy knowledge in parents (p = .005, Hedge's g = 1.77). Conclusion Educational interventions have high and beneficial effect on the level of epilepsy knowledge in the children with epilepsy and parents; can be used as effective interventions in the epilepsy management. However, due to low number of randomised controlled studies, further high-quality randomised controlled studies are needed about this topic. Relevance to clinical practice The findings will contribute to the use of educational interventions in the epilepsy management for health professionals, especially nurses. Thus these interventions will contribute to improving epilepsy management of children with epilepsy and parents
Fritillaria umitkaplanii (Liliaceae), a new species from south Anatolia
Fritillaria umitkaplanii Eker & Tekşen sp. nov. (Liliaceae) is described as a new species from Turkey. It is morphologically similar to F. armena, F. pinardii and F. assyriaca, but differs from F. armena mainly by its canaliculate and broader leaves, perigone colour and shape, thin filament and anther colour; from F. pinardii by its canaliculate leaves, perigone colour, nectary characteristics, unbranched style and thin filament; and from F. assyriaca by its median leaves and bract longer than inflorescence, shape of median leaves, perigone colour, thin filament and style. Diagnostic characters, description, detailed illustration, geographical distribution, conservation assessment, identification key, observations and taxonomic comments regarding the new species are given
Improvement of anti-corrosion performance (surface and near the cut edge) and mechanical properties of epoxy coatings modified with nano, micro and hybrid ZnO particles
Composites were formed by incorporating nano, micro and hybrid-ZnO particles into the epoxy matrix at the same loading levels (3%) and applied at 90 μm thickness on the galvanized steel substrate using a film applicator in this study. The improvement in anti-corrosion performance and mechanical and physical properties of the composite coatings were evaluated using various tests and techniques such as salt-spray, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, nanohardness, microscratch, cross-cut, bending, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, thermogravimetric and Scanning electron microscopy. The corrosion performance of the composite coatings near the cut edge is discussed in detail as well as on the surface of galvanized steel. The results show that the addition of all ZnO particles has a positive effect on the corrosion resistance and mechanical properties of the coatings. The addition of nano, micro and hybrid ZnO particles increased the hardness of the composites by 52, 37 and 56%, respectively, compared to the neat epoxy. Although the cathodic protection performance is weakened near the cut edge due to the loss of Zn after thermal cutting, high barrier protection was provided with composite coatings, especially micro ZnO/Epoxy composite coating
Changing characteristics of regional and site-based frequency distribution under the non-stationary process
The probability of the occurrence belonging to heavy rainfalls that directly triggers the flood is estimated with the common assumption that the process by which it occurred is under stationary conditions. By accepting this threat as if it does not exist in our globe, which is faced with the reality of global warming and climate change, estimating the required design values in the construction of hydraulic structures with frequency analysis of the relevant data would cause the failure of the water-related structures. This study was carried out to come up with how the regional and site-based frequency distribution would change under non-stationary conditions. The L-moments algorithm, Monte Carlo Simulation technique, and the magnitude of the trend calculated by Innovative Trend Analysis (ITA) were involved in scrutinizing the impact of non-stationary conditions on frequency analysis of annual maximum daily rainfall data sets. By including the own time-dependent change (trend) of each data in synthetic data, synthetically produced rainfall data was intended to reflect the actual conditions effectively. The simulated data has increased the heterogeneity of the entire region compared to the observed data and led to considerable differences in regional and site-based quantile estimates, and this difference became a nonlinear increase, especially after the 90% probability level. Based on this study, by considering stations with longer and equal or nearly equal observation periods in alternative regions, the change of frequency distribution behaviour in non-stationary conditions can be scrutinized with different methodologies
Pros and cons of Ulva lactuca and Cladophora glomerata grown in freshwater as feed
The use of algae as alternative feeds has long time attracted interest. However, due to excessive accumulation and variation in some of its components, difficulty in harvesting, and the need for some processes (cleaning, rinsing, drying, etc.) before final use, it causes hesitations about their use as feed. The feed values of Ulva lactuca and Cladophora glomerata collected from the same region in two different years (2020–2021) were investigated. The comparison of Ulva lactuca and Clodophora glomerata in two successive yearsyielded significant differences (P < 0.05) for crude protein% (22.23–10.78 and 18.38–12.85), crude ash% (19.28–34.10 and 40.67–35.51), ADF% (13.41–12.39 and 19.61–22.13), NDF% (39.18–36.35 and 29.36–35.74), calcium% (11.75–1.49 and 38.47–1.35), magnesium% (1.02–13.54 and 1.76–8.61), potassium% (0.53–6.17 and 1.50–17.86), sulphur% (4.76–2.41 and 3.41–1.80), and nickel ppm (9.50–87.5 and 20.25–105.3). Significant differences were also detected between other nutrients, minerals, energy, and digestibility values (P < 0.05). It has been determined that some heavy metal and mineral amounts are at restrictive levels at the point of use as feed. Aluminum (4982.7–7459.3 ppm) and silicon (8882.3–1449.3 ppm) were found in Ulva lactuca and Cladophora glomerata, respectively (P < 0.05). Sulphur, aluminum, silicon, and nickel amounts are above the tolarable feed criteria limits. Cadmium and lead were determined to be above the limits allowed in the legal legislation. Their biosorbent properties cause them to be affected by the ecosystem, and undesirable accumulations appear as a restrictive situation. Therefore, it is necessary to systematically determine their contents and variations. It was concluded that they are important in terms of potential feed value but should be used in a controlled manner
Numerical analysis of thermal and hydraulic performance of pulsating nanofluid flow over cam-shaped tube bundles
In this study, the hydraulic and thermal performance of laminar pulsating nanofluid flow over a cam-shaped tube bundle was investigated. Numerical solutions were carried out with the ANSYS Fluent software. As a working fluid, CuO–water nanofluid was used at a constant particle volume fraction (φ = 5%). The effects of Reynolds number (Re), pulsating amplitude (A), and Womersley number (Wo) on flow and heat transfer were analyzed. The flow and temperature contours were obtained, and the friction factor and thermal enhancement were discussed. The findings of the study revealed that heat transfer was considerably affected by the Reynolds number, pulsating frequency, and pulsating amplitude. It was observed that there was a critical pulsating frequency (Wo = 14) for the thermal enhancement, and the heat transfer decreased after this frequency value. Compared to the steady flow of the base fluid, in the pulsating nanofluid flow, the Nusselt number (Nu) increased 1.81 times (Re = 200, A = 1, and Wo = 14), and the maximum relative friction factor was found to be 3.59 (Re = 800, A = 1, and Wo = 20). The highest thermo-hydraulic performance was obtained as 1.62 at Re = 200, A = 1, and Wo = 10
