    Efficacy of different irrigation activation systems on bacterial extrusion

    Erdönmez, Demet ( Aksaray, Yazar )The purpose of this study was to evaluate the quantity of extruded bacteria following with EndoVac, EDDY, EndoActivator (EA) and standard needle irrigation (SNI). Ninety teeth with a single root and canal were included in this study. Fifteen teeth were selected as the negative control group to confirm sterilization. Seventy-five teeth were contaminated with Enterococcus faecalis (E. faecalis) for 4 weeks. Teeth were prepared and divided into five groups (n:15): EndoVac, EDDY, EA, SNI and positive control groups. The extruded bacteria were cultured for bacterial quantification. The counts of extruded bacteria were lower in the EndoVac group compared to the EDDY group (P˂ 0.05). The counts of extrusion bacteria were not different in EA and SNI groups compared to EDDY and EndoVac groups (P > 0.05). Within the limits of this study, EndoVac was found to be more reliable irrigation systems than EDDY in terms of the bacterial extrusion

    Polyurethane/phosphatidylcholine composite nanofibers conjugated with heparin-tagged cerium oxide nanoparticles for surface modification of cardiovascular stents

    Nanotextured coating strategies have become a new option to achieve the rupture atheroma thin layer after endovascular stent application. In this study, polyurethane (PU)/phosphatidylcholine (PC) nanofibers functionalized with heparin (HEP)-conjugated nanoceria (CeNPs) were designed to target atherosclerotic plaque. PU-PC combination was processed into highly porous, defect-free nanofibrous membranes on the 316L stainless steel stent by electrospinning. Contrary to hydrophobic and smooth PU, upon functionalization with PC, the coating materials are gained a more hydrophilic and rough feature. 100% HEP was released from coated stents within 10 days, indicating the stents can be used to repair the damaged blood vessel after stenting processing. To determine the ROS scavenging ability of nanofiber coatings on stent, the obtained fluorescence microscopy images were given and the images showed that especially HEP-CeNPs-PU:PC group was more effective in scavenging intracellular ROS. In addition to that, the cholesterol accumulation reduced proportionally with increases in concentration of PC

    Nowadays, with the development of technology, there have been many innovations in human life. Technology has made many things easier in human life depending on these innovations. In this study, an application has been developed to more easily solve the needs of people in their daily lives. The developed application is designed to control the internal units of the house with voice commands. The doors, windows, lamps, etc. that we use daily in our house can be controlled by voice commands through wireless headphones. Voice commands can be sent from inside or outside the house. In addition to these external units, all applications on the personal computer are controlled by voice commands without using a keyboard and mouse. The application developed in C # programming language, provides control of newly installed programs to the computer without coding. To do so, it is enough to add that program and voice command to the interface. Moreover, the application provides a lot of convenience for disabled-aged citizens and some dangerous situations in the industrial environment

    Molecular and biochemical investigation of the protective effects of rutin against liver and kidney toxicity caused by malathion administration in a rat model

    Widely used malathion (MLT) causes environmental pollution, leading to toxicity in many living things, including humans. Rutin (RUT) is a flavonoid with various biological properties. In the present study, the protective effects of rutin against liver and kidney toxicity caused by malathion were investigated. In the study, MLT (100 mg/kg) and RUT (50 or 100 mg/kg) were administered to rats alone or in combination for 28 days. Then, oxidative stress, inflammation, endoplasmic reticulum stress (ERS), apoptosis, and autophagy markers in liver and kidney tissues were analyzed by biochemical and molecular methods. The results showed that MLT caused oxidative stress in both tissues, while RUT showed antioxidant properties and protected these tissues from oxidative damage. Moreover, MLT upregulated the expressions of ATF-6, PERK, IRE1, GRP78, and CHOP, leading to ERS. However, RUT alleviated ER stress and suppressed these markers. The study also found that MLT increased inflammatory, apoptotic, and autophagic markers. All these factors affected liver and kidney functions and caused an increase in plasma ALT, AST, urea, and creatinine levels. On the other hand, it has been observed that RUT may protect liver and kidney tissues from the destructive effect of MLT by showing anti-inflammatory, anti-apoptotic, and anti-autophagic properties. Thus, it was determined that ALT, AST, urea, and creatinine levels decreased after RUT treatment. As a result, it was observed that MLT had a toxic effect on the liver and kidney tissues of rats, and it was determined that this toxicity could be alleviated by RUT treatment

Self-assembled dipeptides, a group of peptide nanostructures, have highly attractive uses in the field of biomedicine. Recently these materials have proved to be important nanostructures because of their biocompatibility, low-cost and simplicity of synthesis, functionality/easy tunability and nano dimensions. Although there are different studies on peptide and protein-based nanostructures, more information about self-assembled nanostructures for dipeptides is still required to discover the advantages, challenges, importance, synthesis, interactions, and applications.     A new modified pararectus approach and visualization: an anatomical study

    Introduction: The aim of our study was to visualize all the windows used in the pararectus approach with detailed cadaver images to facilitate better understanding of orthopedic surgeons and, in addition, was to modify the incision used in the pararectus approach to a more cosmetic bikini incision. Materials and methods: In total, 20 cadavers fixed in 10% formalin were used in this study. Of these cadavers, 14 were male and six were female, with a mean age at death of 57 (42-82 years). The four windows were defined as follows in all the cadavers: pubic, quadrilateral, sacroiliac, and iliac windows. Results: The most important structure at risk in the pubic window was the corona mortis, as it was observed in 12 (60%) cadavers. In men, the spermatic cord was an important structure at risk in the pubic window. The obturator vessels and nerves were the structures at most risk in the quadrilateral window due to their close location with the quadrilateral surface. The obturator nerve on the medial side and at the entrance of the pelvis through the linea terminalis and lumbosacral truncus were the structures at most risk close to the sacroiliac joint in the sacroiliac window

    İşletmelerin kuruluş amacı; insan istek veya ihtiyaçlarını karşılamak, topluma faydalı olacak faaliyetler gerçekleştirmek veya kazanç elde etmektir. Kişi veya kişiler gerekli prosedürler veya sermaye ile bu amaçlarını gerçekleştirebilirler fakat önemli olan sürekli gelişen ve gelişmekte olan piyasada varlıklarını sürdürebilmeleridir. İşletme sahibi veya yöneticinin her kararı etkin ve doğru bir şekilde alması önemli bir husustur. Makine seçimi problemi de alınması gereken önemli bir karardır. Literatürde birden fazla alternatifin ve birden fazla kriterin olduğu karar verme problemlerinde çok kriterli karar verme yöntemleri önerilmektedir. Makine seçimi probleminin de önerilen yöntemler arasında yer almasından dolayı ÇKKV yöntemleri kullanılarak en iyi makinenin belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Hem belirsizlik ortamında alınan hem de stratejik bir karar olan makine seçimi problemi için ENTROPİ ve MOORA yöntemleri kullanılmıştır. Analiz için belirlenen alternatifler, paletli ekskavatörleri oluştururken belirlenen kriterler ekskavatörlerin çalışma donanımlarından elde edilmiştir. Çalışma donanımları ise alternatiflerin kataloglarından elde edilmiştir. Objektif ağırlıklandırma yöntemi olan ENTROPİ yöntemi ile kriterler ağırlıklandırılmıştır. Alternatiflerin sıralanmasında MOORA yöntemleri kullanılmıştır. Her bir yöntemden elde edilen sıralama sonuçlarını MULTI-MOORA yöntemi ile birleştirip baskınlık türlerine göre bir sıralama elde edilmiştir. Sonuçlara göre ilk üç sıradaki makinelerin sıralaması; SH3006, JS 300 LC, PC 300 LC-8 olarak bulunmuştur.The purpose of establishment of businesses; meeting human wants or needs, performing activities that will be beneficial to society, or gaining profit. The person or persons can achieve these goals with the necessary procedures or capital, but the important thing is to maintain their existence in the constantly developing and developing market. It is an important issue for the business owner or manager to take every decision effectively and accurately. The machine selection problem is also an important decision to be taken. In the literature, multi-criteria decision making methods are recommended in decision making problems with more than one alternative and more than one criterion. Since the machine selection problem is among the recommended methods, it is aimed to determine the best machine by using MCDM methods. ENTROPY and MOORA methods were used for the machine selection problem, which is both a strategic decision and taken in an uncertainty environment. While the alternatives determined for the analysis constitute the crawler excavators, the specified parameters were obtained from the working equipment of the excavators. Working equipment was obtained from the catalogs of the alternatives. The criteria were weighted with the ENTROPY method, which is an objective weighting method. MOORA methods were used to rank the alternatives. By combining the ranking results obtained from each method with the MULTI-MOORA method, a ranking according to dominance types was obtained.     Estimating Bist 100 with the interactıon of financial instruments of developing countries using deep learning and machine learning methods

    Döviz piyasaları, emtia piyasaları ve gelişmekte olan ülkelerin borsa endekslerinin Bist100 üzerindeki etkisi oldukça önemlidir. Ülke ekonomileri hem kendi hem de diğer ülkelerin ekonomilerine güçlü bir şekilde bağlıdır ve bu sebeple piyasalar etkilenmektedirler. Ekonomik açıdan piyasayı takip etmek kararları doğru verebilmek için tahmin yöntemleri kullanılmaktadır. Veri kümesi Ocak 2017 – Ekim 2021 tarihleri arasındaki kapanış verilerinden oluşmaktadır. Deneysel çalışmalarda objektifliğin sağlanması amacıyla k=5 ve 10 katlı çapraz geçerlilik modeli uygulanmıştır. Modellerin karşılaştırılmasında; Ortalama Mutlak Hata (MAE), Bağıl Mutlak Hata (RAE), Ortalama Karesel Hata Karekökü (RMSE) ve uzun kısa süreli bellek (LSTM) kullanılmıştır. Deneysel çalışmalar sonucunda, LSTM modelinin makine öğrenmesi modellerine göre daha iyi sonuç verdiği görülmüştür. LSTM modeli için test sonuçları incelendiğinde MAE değeri 10.27, RMSE değeri 14.15 ve RAE değeri ise 6.06’dir.The effect of foreign exchange markets, commodity markets and stock market indices of developing countries on Bist100 is very important. The economies of the countries are strongly dependent on the economies of both their own and other countries, and therefore the markets are affected. Forecasting methods are used to follow the market economically and to make correct decisions. The dataset consists of closing data between January 2017 and October 2021. In order to ensure objectivity in experimental studies, a k=5 and 10-fold cross-validation model was applied. In comparison of models; Mean Absolute Error (MAE), Relative Absolute Error (RAE), Root Mean Square Error (RMSE) and long short-term memory (LSTM) were used. As a result of experimental studies, it has been seen that the LSTM model gives better results than machine learning models. When the test results for the LSTM model are examined, the MAE value is 10.27, the RMSE value is 14.15, and the RAE value is 6.06

    Bu çalışmada muhasebe meslek mensuplarının genel iş etiği düzeyleri ile meslektaşlarının muhasebe meslek etiğine yönelik tutumlarına ilişkin algıları arasında anlamlı ilişkiler olup olmadığının araştırılması amaçlanmıştır. İki ölçek ve demografik bilgilerden oluşan bir anket formuyla Aksaray SMMM Odasında kayıtlı meslek mensuplarından toplanan veri IBM SPSS 25.0 programı kullanılarak istatistiki analize tabi tutulmuştur. Elde edilen bulgular muhasebe meslek mensuplarının demografik özellikleri ve genel iş etiği düzeyleri ile meslektaşlarının muhasebe meslek etiğine yönelik tutumlarına ilişkin algıları arasında istatistiki açıdan anlamlı ilişkilere işaret etmemektedir. Fakat meslek mensuplarının kendi genel iş etiği düzeylerini yüksek tanımlarken; meslektaşlarının muhasebe meslek etiğine yönelik tutumlarına ilişkin algıları hakkında daha farklı kanaatlere sahip oldukları yönünde bulgular sağlanmıştır.This study aims to investigate whether there are significant relationships between occupational work ethics levels of accountants and their perceptions of their colleagues' attitudes towards accounting profession ethics. Data, collected from professionals registered in Aksaray SMMM Chamber by a questionnaire consisting of two scales and demographic information, were analyzed using IBM SPSS 25.0. Findings do not indicate significant relationships between demographic characteristics and occupational work ethics levels of accountants; and their perceptions of their colleagues' attitudes towards professional accounting ethics. However, while accountants define their own occupational work ethics levels as high; it has been found that they have different opinions about their colleagues' attitudes towards professional accounting ethics
