Geohazard Survey from Air (GEOSFAIR) - Report from field test at Fonnbu March 2022
I mars/april 2022 gjennomførte Statens vegvesen, Norges geotekniske institutt og SINTEF en felttest med UAS med ulike instrumenter på forskningsstasjonen Fonnbu i Stryn. Formålet med testen var å evaluere bruken av instrumenterte droner til overvåking og vurdering av snøskredfare. Instrumentene som ble testet inkluderte optisk og termisk avbildning, laserskanning og georadar. Resulterende datasett inkluderte 3D-modeller (punktskyer og høydekart), multispektrale og radiometriske, termiske bilder og radargrammer.In March/April 2022, the Norwegian Public Roads Administration, the Norwegian Geotechnical Institute and SINTEF performed a field test with UAS carrying different instruments at the research station Fonnbu in Stryn, Norway. The overall purpose was to evaluate the practical performance of UAS and sensors in field conditions towards the goal of assessing and monitoring snow avalanche hazard. The devices tested included optical and thermal imaging, laser scanning, and ground penetrating radar. Resulting geospatial datasets included 3D models (point clouds and elevation maps), multispectral and radiometric thermal images, and radargrams
Deliverable 5.1 Guideline for uncertainty quantification of rock mechanical properties
This report introduces some practical methods that can be used to quantify the uncertainties involved in geomechanical properties estimation. Among the various aspects of uncertainties, this report mainly focuses on uncertainties involved in regression when deriving mechanical properties from empirical correlations and spatially-averaged properties. In addition, it also briefly introduces other types of uncertainties that can be involved in entire process of geomechanical properties estimation with conceptual methods. In overrall context of a risk assessment, the information described in this report can be used to prepare statistical inputs for the hazard assessment phase of CO2 containment risk assessment.European CommissionpublishedVersio
Deliverable 2.1 Integrated earthquake locations and magnitudes plus focal mechanisms for the North Sea & construction of a velocity model
This report, together with an accompanying North Sea bulletin, constitutes Deliverable 2.1 of SHARP Storage. It is the result of the activities within task 2.1 of work package 2 of this project. Seismic event data was requested from all relevant data providers bordering the North Sea. The combined list of events has subsequently been cleaned, and duplicate events have been removed. An initial statistical analysis of the catalogue has been provided, including a magnitude-frequency distribution and associated Gutenberg-Richter b-value. In addition, a focal mechanism catalogue has been created, and an overview and analysis of the available velocity models relevant for the North Sea area are presented. In the next two years, the bulletin and the focal mechanism catalogue will be updated and augmented with more (lower magnitude) event data, ultimately resulting in deliverable 2.4 of SHARP Storage.European CommissionpublishedVersio
