Efektivitas Penanganan Bagasi Tertinggal di Area Terminal dalam Upaya Menjamin Kepuasan Penumpang pada Bandar Udara El Tari Kupang
Abstract
Bagagge is a passenger’s belongings carried during a flight. At El Tari Kupang Airport, there are often cases of luggage left in terminal area, therefore El Tari Kupang Airport took the initiative in handling passenger luggage left in terminal area. Although this is not its responsibility and there is no Standard Operating Procedure that regulates it, the airport continues to provide good service to maintain its image as a service provider. This study aims to determine the effective handling process for passenger baggage left behind at El-Tari Kupang Airport and how to overcome the obstacles that occur. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method, namely the data used are primary and secondary data. Primary data is data collection through observation and interviews in the field, while secondary data is indirect data sources such as photographs, documents, objects and the like. Data validity testing uses triangulation of sources and techniques. This study was conducted in February 2025 at El-Tari Kupang Airport. The results of the study indicate that the process of handling left luggage at El Tari Kupang Airport has been carried out well and meets passenger expectations with steps such as receiving reports, searching, storing and returning and through coordination between Airport Security, Customer Service and other parties at the airport. The handling that has been provided by El Tari Kupang Airport has been carried out effectively, however, there are still some obstacles due to the lack of facilities and technology implementation which results in baggage tracking taking a long time. The way to overcome obstacles is to increase the effectiveness of handling left luggage such as facilities and technology, coordination with various parties, and providing education to passengers to always pay attention to their belongings.

Pengaruh Kualitas Pelayanan, Ketepatan Waktu, dan Persepsi Harga terhadap Kepuasan Pelanggan E-Commerce di Kota Yogyakarta
The rapid development of the e-commerce industry has driven the increasing demand for fast, accurate, and quality shipping services. Lion Parcel, as one of the logistics companies growing in Indonesia, strives to meet customer expectations through improved service quality, punctuality, and competitive pricing. The city of Yogyakarta, which is one of the national e-commerce activity centers, becomes a strategic area that presents both challenges and opportunities for Lion Parcel in maintaining customer satisfaction. The purpose of this research is to determine the extent of the influence of service quality, punctuality, and price perception on the satisfaction of e-commerce customers using Lion Parcel services in Yogyakarta. This study applies quantitative methods by distributing questionnaires to 100 respondents. Sampling was done using the purposive sampling method. The instrument was tested using reliability and validity tests. Data analysis techniques include multicollinearity tests, normality tests, heteroscedasticity tests, multiple linear regression analysis, F tests, and T tests. The research findings show that the three variables, namely price perception, punctuality, and service quality have a significant impact on customer satisfaction, both simultaneously and partially. Referring to the T test, it was obtained that service quality has a significance value of 0.006 <0.05; punctuality 0.001 <0.05; and price perception 0.001 <0.05, which means that all three have a partial impact on customer satisfaction. In addition, the F test shows that the three variables also have a simultaneous effect with a significance value of 0.001 <0.05 and a calculated F value of 7726.863> F table 2.699
Analisis Peran Petugas Aviation Secusity dalam Pemeriksaan Barang Bawaan Penumpang di Screening Check-Point Bandar Udara Internasional Soemarmo Boyolali
This study aims to understand the role of the AVSEC unit in handling and inspecting passenger baggage that could potentially endanger flights and to identify the obstacles faced by AVSEC officers in carrying out their duties of inspecting dangerous baggage at the SCP of Adi Soemarmo International Airport, Boyolali. The research method used was a descriptive qualitative approach. Data collection was conducted through direct observation, in-depth interviews with informants from the AVSEC unit, and documentation studies, including standard operating procedures. Triangulation techniques were used to verify the validity of the data by comparing information from observations, interviews, and documentation. Results indicate that the AVSEC unit at Adi Soemarmo International Airport carries out a strategic role that includes preventive functions (preventing the entry of prohibited items), detection and identification using X-ray equipment and WTMD, enforcement of regulations in accordance with ICAO Annex 17, and providing humane service to passengers. AVSEC officers face various complex obstacles, including limited technology and equipment, limited human resources, psychological stress, high workloads, lack of structured and regular training, procedural and regulatory constraints resulting from regulatory changes without adequate socialization, and limited effective communication with passengers. It was concluded that the overall role of AVSEC at Adi Soemarmo International Airport is strategic in ensuring aviation security, but faces significant challenges in terms of technology, human resources, psychology, and procedures. Improving officer competency, modernizing equipment, and refining procedures and communications are crucial to strengthening the airport security system
Unique Contributions of Dynamic Affect Indicators – Beyond Static Variability
Indicators of affect dynamics (IADs) capture temporal dependencies and instability in affective trajectories over time. However, the relevance of IADs for the prediction of time?invariant outcomes (e.g., depressive symptoms) was recently challenged due to results suggesting low predictive utility beyond intraindividual means and variances. We argue that these results may in part be explained by mathematical redundancies between IADs and static variability. In two extensive simulation studies we investigate the accuracy and power for detecting non-null relations between IADs and an outcome variable in different relevant settings, illustrating the effect of the length of a time series as well as of the presence of missing values or measurement error. We show that, if uncertainty in individual IAD estimates is not accounted for, relations between IADs (i.e., autoregressive effects) and a time-invariant outcome are underestimated even in large samples and propose the use of a latent multilevel one-step approach. In an empirical application we illustrate that the different modeling approaches can lead to different substantive conclusions regarding the
role of negative affect inertia in the prediction of depressive symptoms
Racial Threat in Public Social Spaces
We examine the electoral effects of exposure to ethnic diversity in public social spaces. We study the case of public swimming pools in Germany, where intergroup relations have become increasingly politicized in recent years. Our empirical analysis combines (i) information on the geolocation of all public pools in Germany, (ii) a high-frequency panel survey of more than 240,000 voters, and (iii) a novel survey on threat perceptions in public pools. Using a difference-in-differences design that leverages the seasonality of outdoor swimming pools for causal identification, we estimate that exposure to ethnic diversity in public pools increases far-right support by about 0.8 percentage points. Additional panel analyses suggest that these results are driven by an increase in the issue salience of immigration relative to taxes and redistribution. Our findings lend credence to the racial threat hypothesis in politicized public social spaces that do not meet Allport's conditions for positive intergroup contact
Personality, Political Party Identification, and Partisan News Consumption: A Replication and Extension in the Context of the COVID-19 Pandemic
In previous research, individuals high in openness were more likely to use liberal news regardless of their political party identification. Using 786 representative Michigan adults from the 2020 State of the State Survey, this pre-registered study aimed to conceptually replicate this finding focusing on COVID-19 related news use. Additionally, this study examined the role conscientiousness plays in liberal and conservative COVID-19 related news use. We found no significant association between openness and liberal COVID-19 related news use; however, openness did predict less conservative COVID-19 related news use. After controlling for political party identification and ideology, conscientiousness did not significantly predict liberal or conservative COVID-19 related news use
The Politics of Right and Wrong: Moral Appeals in Political Communication over Six Decades in Ten Western Democracies
When politics is seen in a moral light, it fundamentally changes the terms of the game. Yet,
while research has demonstrated the mobilizing, polarizing, and radicalizing consequences of moralization, we still lack elemental knowledge about how moral appeals are used by political elites. To answer unresolved questions about the temporal, ideological, and topical variation in moralization cross-nationally, we develop a novel multilingual transformer model and analyse a large corpus of political text from ten Western democracies over six decades. We show, first, that the moralization of politics has increased significantly over the past sixty years; second, that the tendency to moralize is not ideologically patterned; and third, that presumably ‘moral’ and ‘non-moral’ topics can be equally framed in moral terms. These findings have important implications for understanding political moralization processes by showing that morality is a dynamic rhetorical tool rather than a fixed and stable property of political communication
Fundamental and Gender-Based Wealth Inequalities: What Inequalities People Perceive and Desire and How They Want Society to Allocate Resources to Bridge the Gap
There is much to gain by jointly considering multiple group-based inequalities and changes therein. Here, we present two survey studies (Study 1 N = 979, Study 2 N = 994) on wealth inequalities between men and women (gender inequality) and between the wealthier and less wealthy half (fundamental inequality) in Switzerland. The findings concern what inequalities people perceive, what changes they desire, and how they think society should allocate resources to realize their individually desired changes. Despite people typically perceiving greater fundamental inequality, fundamental inequality was more commonly met with indifference compared to gender inequality, even from people from the less wealthy half. Further, people’s preferences for how resources should be allocated to realize the changes they individually desired did not reflect how big the desired changes were relative to one another and thereby how much wealth would have minimally been required to realize both changes. We call for research on the alignment of the changes that people desire and how they think resources should be allocated to realize these changes
