No full textSelf-Mirage: Self-Reflective Songs Through the Lens of the Seven Deadly Sins is a self- explorative creative project. In this thesis, I will share my personal history, my project proposal, my goals and my process. With this project I aimed to complete a significant body work consisting of songs all written/composed and predominantly arranged by myself using the “seven deadly sins” as the concept for my album and to improve my performance and recording capabilities. My ultimate goal as a musician is to create interesting and collaborative works that push boundaries but unite people under the scope of curiosity and creativity. Within this project you’ll find the lead sheets, transcriptions, lyrics, artwork and details of the entire process from beginning to end of writing and recording each song. Coming out of this project I have an almost finished album of seven songs, plus two interludes, that will be released as my first singer/songwriter and bandleader project. No full textThe NØISE TØUR 2026 is a fully developed touring concept created by Hemeli Ramirez under the artist duo FifteenØeight, designed as a hybrid between immersive storytelling and technical concert production. The show is built around three thematic chapters. The Disconnect, The Journey, and The Future Reimagined, which guide the audience through a powerful experience of self-discovery. Through layered visuals, dynamic lighting, and intentional stage design, the performance blurs the lines between narrative and concert, offering an evolving and emotionally resonant experience. This project bridges the gap between creative direction and production management. It includes detailed pre-production assets such as stage plots, signal flow diagrams, production schedules, and custom visual content. Each element was crafted to reflect a deep understanding of both the artistic and logistical sides of live music performance. Ultimately, The NØISE TØUR is a statement on what live shows can become more of, immersive, transformative, and personal. Andrew Hall, performing under the moniker Merry Andrew, has used tarot cards as inspiration for his music. He hopes that his songs will also be used as a tool for self-reflection by his listeners. His debut EP, The Fool, describes a journey into the unknown. The Fool does not quite know where he is going or how he will get there, but he forges ahead bravely. Merry Andrew’s upcoming EP, The Magician, tells the story of someone who is now in control. The Magician is equipped with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to create the future he envisions. Andrew’s transformation from the Fool into the Magician happened during an amazing year at Berklee NYC. No full textThis thesis investigates how Spotify\u27s playlist ecosystem, particularly its algorithmic and edit orial playlists (New Music Friday and Today’s Top Hits) affects musical diversity and artist visibility. The study updates the basic framework of Aguiar and Waldfogel (2018) with 2025- relevant features, such as Discovery Mode and the AI-powered DJ, using a data-driven methodology. It assesses the degree of genre diversity and concentration in the most popular playlists on the platform using quantitative techniques such as Shannon Entropy and Gini Coefficient computations. The monetary benefit of playlist inclusion is measured by a case study analysis of LISA\u27s song Moonlit Floor, which estimates that its presence in Today\u27s Top Hits has resulted in nearly 2.6 million more plays. The findings raise concerns regarding equitable exposure, which show that both editorial and algorithmic playlists have a modest concentration of genres and a higher concentration of artists. While algorithmic innovations promise personalization, they may reinforce existing commercial hierarchies. No full textThe Enigma of Misunderstood Minds is a musical project that explores schizophrenia through original compositions inspired by the lives of my two uncles. Blending classical music, Afro-Cuban traditions, and Global Jazz, the project seeks to translate the emotional and psychological landscapes of schizophrenia into sound, while challenging stigma and encouraging empathy. Each piece functions as a sonic portrait, drawing from Berklee Global Jazz Institute concepts such as zero gravity, windows, and comprovisation to create a space where structure and improvisation coexist. Voice, rhythm, and layered textures work together to evoke the fragmented yet rich inner world of misunderstood minds. No full textWriting music for role playing games (RPGs) is becoming more relevant in the current day than it has been in over 15 years. In the past few years there have been several massive releases such as Baldur’s Gate 3 and, more recently, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 just to name two of the most recent original titles garnering mass recognition. It is clear that this genre of video game in which large scale stories are told across tens or even over one hundred hours is beginning to make a strong comeback and will likely race to the forefront of gaming as it once was during the late 2000s and early 2010s. During times like this, it is wise of enterprising composers to hone the skills necessary to write for these types of games as not only are there going to be more jobs for composers on AAA sized productions, but behind the industry leaders there will soon be smaller companies vying for the consumers’ time between major releases who will also need several hours of music each. This paper aims to explore the topic of the music for this specific medium through use of some games that personally touched me musically and played a hand in inspiring the composition of my piece Tides of Nun which is set to an AI generated trailer for a non-existent epic fantasy RPG set in ancient Egypt. “Wing It!”:Composition for an animation
No full textThis report outlines the process of composing, orchestrating, recording, and mixing the music for Wing It!, a three-minute comedy-adventure animation. As my final project, it served as the culmination of my Master of Music Degree in Scoring for Film, Television, and Video Games at Berklee College of Music, Valencia Campus, and allowed me to put into practice both the technical and emotional skills I’ve built over the years. Even though the animation is short, it covers a wide range of emotions from calm joy to fast-paced and thrilling excitement, ending with a warm, satisfying tone. This variety gave me space to explore musical storytelling and strengthen the connection between music, visuals, and character. The report is organized in chronological order. It starts with how and why I chose this project, then goes through the steps I took before writing, the composition and orchestration process, score and part preparation, recording at AIR Studios in London, and final mixing.
