    Hero

    No full text
The project is a complete music rescore and sound redesign of a short animated film Hero originally by Blender Studio. Following along with the title and the story of the film, I composed an epic, heroic theme for the heroes, and orchestrated the piece with heavy usage of brass and ostinato based strings, taking the advantage of the Air Studios. Throughout the entire piece, the hero theme or small motifs of the theme were used to imply the storyline. While for the sound redesign, I made use of the knowledge and experiences gained from the video game course and tried to create a soundspace as realistic as possible. This project demonstrates what I have learned through this whole academic year at the SFTV program of Berklee Valencia. Personally, I think this project is a good conclusion of my study at the program. With the top tier studio players, this project is so far the best I can do. However, there are still spaces of improvements in various aspects.https://remix.berklee.edu/graduate-studies-scoring/1325/thumbnail.jp

    Drifting Boy

    No full text
“Adrifting Boy” is a concept EP that explores the emotional turbulence of a young man navigating love, loss, and identity across cultures. Combining Chinese and English lyrics, the songs blend R&B textures with ambient and electronic influences, creating a floating, melancholic atmosphere. The project documents my personal journey as an international student and male artist in New York, using whispered vocals, delicate harmony, and layered production to reflect inner conflict and moments of quiet vulnerability. Each track is built around a core emotion and a visual scene, forming a cohesive narrative about distance—emotional and physical—and the search for belonging.https://remix.berklee.edu/graduate-studies-cmat/1130/thumbnail.jp

CRISTAL, the production of an EP

    No full text
This project focuses on the production and release of an experimental hyperpop EP titled CRISTAL.The EP features original music composed and produced solely by the author, where the aim was to develop a sound that feels smooth, balanced, and consistent from beginning to end, so that all the songs fit together naturally and form a unified whole, while also bringing in inspiration from Argentinean culture through the use of specific sounds and instruments. Key challenges included achieving a balanced vocal mix that holds space within dense, textured arrangements, and crafting a compelling narrative through minimal yet evocative lyrics. To address these challenges, it was very helpful for the author to create demo versions of each track early in the process. This allowed her to explore the structure and overall sound before recording vocals, enabling more informed decisions about how the vocal elements would fit within the production. This paper was written with the assistance from generative artificial intelligence. Breathe: An Energy Healing Soundscape Performance and EP Combining Electronic Dance Music with Healing Frequencies and Ambient Sound

    No full text
This project explores the integration of sound healing practices with electronic dance music through the creation and performance of a seven-track EP, Breathe. Drawing from ancient Vedic and Tantric traditions, the EP is designed to sonically activate and support the body\u27s chakra system using specific tuning systems, analog synthesis, and intentional sound design. The work combines historical research—such as the use of Tibetan singing bowls—with modern production tools, including binaural audio and modular synthesis, to create a hybrid listening experience that is both therapeutic and immersive. Through this process, the author examines the physical and emotional impact of sound frequencies, the evolution of meditation into movement-based healing, and the potential for live performance to serve as an accessible alternative to traditional sound healing sessions. The final deliverables include the mixed EP, live performance videos, and technical documentation. The project not only showcases creative and technical growth, but also reflects the artist’s personal healing journey.https://remix.berklee.edu/graduate-studies-production-technology/1409/thumbnail.jp
