No full textBazirana na estetici redukovanog grafizma, ilustracija ukazuje na problem savremenog društva koji se ogleda u instrumentalizovanom senzacionalizmu, gde smo svakodnevno i iznova zasuti iluzornim sadržajem. Istovremeno, ovakav trend je podstaknut glorifikacijom čoveka i njegovih životnih potrebna, čime se kreiraju lažni ideali i obrasci življenja. Rad je prikazan u okviru 18. No full textRad problematizuje društvenu ulogu medija, čija beskrupulozna moć kreira našu stvarnost. Takav ambijent generišu globalne politike i multinacionalne kompanije, zloupotrebljavajući medijski prostor u cilju sticanja društvene moći i profita. Metaforičkom estetizacijom takve postavke, mediji su u radu prikazani kao bubašvabe koje нам neprestano oblikuju svest, ali istovremeno i grickaju naš mozak (BRAIN). Ilustracija je realizovana kao animirani svetlosni LED panel (movelit), gde su bubašvabe u stalnom pokretu - pojavljuju se i nestaju, čime se uspostavlja dodatna sugestivnost u procesu recepcije dela. Једноставним, естетски допадљивим и свима пријемчивим цртежима, ведрим бојама и иронично-саркастичним називима дела, Владимир се поиграва нашом перцепцијом. Акцентује проблеме који су се толико одомаћили у нашој свакодневици, да их готово више и не примећујемо. Површност, нефокусираност, сензационализам, претеривање у сваком погледу, само су неки од појмова које уметник проблематизује на изложби сугестивног назива Апсурдизми. Истовремено, у својим радовима је посебну пажњу посветио питању емоција, успут изгубљених у том потрошачком вртлогу. Иако непрестано трагамо за њима, у исконској жељи да их спознамо, на том путу нас изнова заслепи нешто шљокичасто, шарено, што нашу ионако крхку позорност веома лако омете. No full textThe paper deals with the construction of architectural competency, starting from the entwinement of the terms competency and competence. Following the etymology of the two words, we define the distinction between them through the problem of time. On the one hand, competence is atemporal in nature, while on the other hand, competency is necessarily directed at the present. The bond with the present is explained by defining competency as the capacity to produce the new, understood as Deleuzian difference, which objectifies time and always puts it in the order of the present. In the discipline of architecture, the concept of competency is defined through the problem of the extensiveness of theory, which obviates the production of the new. In that sense, competency is interpreted as the ability to preserve the (conceptual) unity of the singular new, despite the impossibility of reconstructing the real as a whole

Generative and AI methods in architecture and urbanism: urban networks, smart mobility, and movement path planning, design, and computation [keynote] [predavanje po pozivu štampano u izvodu]
Get PDFThe talk will address one of the case studies performed as a test of possibilities of generative and AI methods application in architecture and urbanism, or more broadly in spatial engineering and sciences. The research has been situated within the areas of urban computing and informatics, urban design, and urban analysis and analytics, being part of the broader strategy of smart, intelligent, and programmable cities, particularly targeting the subcategory of urban mobility and transportation regarding all layers of complex urban systems.
In that respect, a two-stage generative design problem has been defined, firstly at the scale of the urban city-region and territory (the construction of the transportation system as a dynamic and transformable network and geometry for specific performances), and secondly focusing individual actors and their performance within the chosen and designed system (the construction of agents' movement paths, experiences, or activities in general, as being determined by the defined parameters and with respect to the constructed system). Greater Paris (Grand Paris Express) has been chosen as the network and field of operation, implying the boundedness of each particular movement scenario to its domain of control and range of "legal actions" (the movement policy with regards to the spatial and relational arrangement and constraints of the designed network).
The computational set of problem-solving methods that compose the path starting from the generative problem identification and definition and ending with its solution and visualisation will be presented, including specific exercises created for each part or a phase of the decomposed methodological set. The objectives of the Strategy are as follows: strengthening the urban identity and renewal of the urban area by supporting of sustainable and integral development; promoting the transition to clean and fair energy, green and blue investments, climate change adaptation and mitigation, risk prevention and management, and sustainable urban mobility; promoting innovative and smart economic transformation, circular and low-carbon economy and ICT integration; improvement of social welfare, and improvement of urban/territorial governance.
