No full textForm the Jury Report: "The work ‘24/7 Spaces of Collective Practice, Learning through collaborative discussions and action drawing’ has been recognized in the PHENOMENOLOGY OF ARCHITECTURE category. In the form of a workshop, it represents the work of students from the University of Belgrade - Faculty of Architecture, who—within an experimental pedagogical framework—explored the possibilities of everyday, all-day living in public and institutional spaces. Through a specific teaching methodology, based on collaborative work, dialogue, and spatial drawing, students gained the particular architectural knowledge that distinguishes this project as a significant contribution to the field of architectural education. In an era marked by fragmented educational models and growing individualism, this practice highlights the significance of common space—not only as a physical reality but also as a way of thinking. The common table becomes a site for exchanging ideas, while the tape on the floor serves as the first trace of architecture - one that emerges directly from life. In that regard, the jury especially commends this work for its innovative approach to researching contemporary pedagogical models." No full textThe work demonstrates how urban and architectural data and algorithmic search functions generate formal outcomes and how these outcomes transform from one solution, state, or situation to another, all while testing and exploring possible solutions to posed spatial, architectural, and urban problems or tasks. The algorithmic propagation graph and design process workflow reflect the key logic defined and designed by the author. Being composed out of a set of mathematical and spatial methods to transform data inputs into variable formal outputs and dynamic representations, they enable 'explorative design' to take place and a greater number of possible design solutions to be considered
Искуства града Крагујевца у иницијативи за квалитет живота
No full textГлавни циљ Иницијативе је да се оснаже доносиоци одлука на локалном нивоу практичним знањем и најсавременијим средствима како би утицали на побољшање квалитет живота у својим заједницама. Кроз иновативна решења за податке и праћење, Иницијатива тежи у премошћавању раскорака у доступности података нудећи свеобухватан поглед на квалитет живота у различитим оквирима. Локални доносиоци који на овај начин стичу поуздане податке и увид у оно што њихови грађани највише цене, узимајући у обзир локално окружење и животно искуство свакога из заједнице. На основу тога се лакше и једноставније могу донети локалне одлуке кроз локалне стратегије, планове и програме, који ће својим мерама боље одговорити на потребе грађана.
Град Крагујевац је почетком 2025. године започео Иницијативу за квалитет живота (енг. Quality of Life Initiative) на локалном нивоу. Ова иницијатива је суштински нови програм агенције Уједињених нација за насеља – УН Хабитат (енг. UN Habitat) – покренут 2023. године. Крагујевац је у другу кругу такозваних „пилот-градова“ света у Иницијативи и као други по реду град у Србији (заједно са Сокобањом), после Ниша као јединог у првом кругу светских градова.Ово је предавање по позиву на основу радионице коју су заједнички приредили Немачка сарадња у Србији (Deutsche Zusammenarbeit), Немачка организација за међународну сарадњу (GIZ) и Министарство грађевинарства, саобраћаја и инфраструктуре Републике Србије, уз подршку Града Крагујевца као домаћина радионице

Building renovation passport for achieving net-zero emissions by 2050 – case study of a multi-family residential building in Serbia
No full textTransformacija fonda zgrada ka nultoj emisiji gasova do 2050. godine jedan je od ključnih ciljeva Evropskog zelenog dogovora i nove EPBD direktive. Zgrade, kao najveći potrošači energije, zahtevaju sistemsku i dubinsku obnovu. Pasoš za renoviranje zgrada (Building Renovation Passport – BRP) uveden je kao alat koji omogućava fazni i strateški pristup unapređenju energetske efikasnosti i dekarbonizaciji izgrađenog okruženja. Ovaj rad prikazuje metodologiju razvoja BRP-a kroz studiju slučaja tipične višeporodične stambene zgrade iz 1980-ih u urbanom delu Srbije. Renoviranje je podeljeno u tri faze: poboljšanje omotača zgrade, optimizacija tehničkih sistema i integracija obnovljivih izvora energije. Kroz analizu troškova, koristi i prepreka, rad pokazuje kako BRP može doprineti postepenoj i održivoj obnovi, omogućavajući vlasnicima dugoročno planiranje i informisano donošenje odluka u pravcu zgrada bez emisija
Children- and family-friendly urban design – from theory to handbook for implementation
No full textПо попису 2022. године готово 90% градских насеља у Србији губи становништво. У таквим условима преостали становници су махом старији, а деца и породице са децом су све малобројнији. Они су стога драгоцени ресурс за будућност датих градова, па је јавна политика по њиховој мери битна. То укључује и део који се односи на прилагођавање дизајна отворених јавних простора града према њиховим потребама. У Србији постоји свест о овоме, али још увек није уређен начин како то применити. Ауторски тим испред Програма Уједињених нација за развој (УНДП) у Србији и Министарства за бригу о породици и демографију је направио први корак у виду националног Приручника за дизајн отворених простора града по мери деце и породице. Циљ овог рада је да представи пут у креирању приручника од теоријских поставки до утврђивања конкретних просторних мера и начина њиховог спровођења кроз урбану партиципацију.The 2022 census revealed that almost 90% of urban settlements in Serbia were losing population. In such
conditions, the remaining residents are mostly elderly, while children and families with children are increasingly few in number.
They are therefore a valuable resource for the future of these cities, so the public policy friendly to them is important. This includes
the part related to adapting the design of open public space in cities to their needs. Awareness of this is present in Serbia, but
there is still no regulated way to implement it. The author team on behalf of the UNDP in Serbia and the Ministry of Family Care
and Demography has taken the first step in the form of a national Handbook for Children- and Family-Friendly Design of Open
Urban Spaces. The aim of this paper is to present the path in creating the handbook from theoretical fundamentals to determining
specific spatial measures and the methods of their implementation through urban participation.

Photometric analysis of homogenized X-ray images in determining the mechanical properties of wood: preliminary results
No full textPrevious research demonstrated a link between wood strength and brightness intensity
in X-ray images. Wood samples were subjected to compression testing along and across
the grain, with X-ray imaging performed on the same specimens before the mechanical
tests. Differences in the brightness of X-ray images of test specimens were clearly
noticeable, both in relation to the type of sampled wood and depending on the specific
alignment of X-ray beams relative to the direction of wood fibers in the test specimen.
Because wood has an anisotropic structural composition, it is expected that the X-ray
image of the tested sample would exhibit uneven brightness. Photometric analysis of the
X-ray image using computer software allows for assigning appropriate mechanical
properties to each point on the image via x, y, v parameters. However, since an individual
light point cannot represent the cumulative mechanical properties of the sampled test
specimen, it is clear that the task at hand also includes the need for homogenizing the Xray
image. This is achievable through the program's three-dimensional approximation
capabilities. The creation of a tonal grayscale through image homogenization would enable
the alignment of mechanical strength parameters with brightness intensity values. This
process would effectively represent the overall mechanical potential of the wood sample
as a cumulative result, linking the homogenized brightness of the X-ray image with the
wood’s strength characteristics
