Typology of schoool gyms in the Republic of Serbia
The study process of segments of gyms resulted in the formation of the appropriate typology, including the analysis of possibilities for improvement of energy performance of not only construction elements and assemblies, but also of HVAC and electrical power systems. The identified types and results of the calculation of energy performance and potential for improvement are indicative for coming to conclusions on the possible strategies and approached to rehabilitation in individual cases. The typology of gyms may, in certain cases, be brought into correlation with the existing national typology of schools, thus allowing for the conclusions of implemented analyses to be used as elements of a uniform strategy of energy retrofitting and rehabilitation of the entire segment of school building
Italy-Serbia bilateral research project “Learning Economies. Modelling Community-Led Local Development for the Sustainable Economic Trajectories of the Negotin and Zlatibor Regions”
The research project „Learning Economies. Modelling Community-Led Local Development for the Sustainable Economic Trajectories оf the Negotin аnd Zlatibor Regions” is a policy oriented project that provides a platform for interdisciplinary scientific collaboration on identification and construction of a Community-Led Local Development (CLLD) intervention model on the regional sustainable development paths. The project is part of the “Executive Programme for Scientific and Technological Cooperation Between the Italian Republic and The Republic of Serbia for the Years 2016-2018” as a "Joint Research Project of Particular Relevance" ("Progetti di Grande Rilevanza" aisensi della I. 401/90)

Patterns of fluidity: mostar interchange in Belgrade
The main idea of this paper is to research the patterns of fluidity in the
relationship between contemporary urban perceptual experiences
and architectural elements of Mostar Interchange in Belgrade. Fluidity
is positioned as the main conceptual phenomenon, simultaneously
causing and manifesting in contemporary transformations of
perceptual and spatial conditions into a constant process of dynamic
interactions and flows. This research is contextualized by reading
the new sense of perceptive, sensory and experiential values of
this city area through the analysis of the architectural patterns
of fluid experience. Accordingly, this research is focused on the
relations between the elements of form, tectonics and ambient
in the Mostar Interchange architecture and dynamic perceptual
experiences in the process of constant movement. The dynamic
concept of flows is placed into the spatial perspective as a design
method and architectural criterium for creation of the patterns of
fluidity. Therefore, the aim of this paper is to put fluidity and notion
of flow into the spatial perspective through the patterns of relations,
continuity, dynamism, sequence and repetition of formal, tectonic
and ambient elements
Reconstruction and adaptation of the rooftop [STRAND 2019]
The main idea of this reconstruction and adaptation project is based on the motif of linear wall which both physically and visually allows inner and outer space overlapping. Additionally, the wall emphasises the view towards the sea, all over the town and Šibenik bay. The wall is the main formal and functional element which contains all the installations. Therefore, the kitchen and bathroom are poisoned around it allowing free, continuous, circular movement flows in the space.Rad je prikazan u delu publikacije - Nasl. str. prištampanog teksta: Exhibition boo
Apartment interior design: lines and colours [STRAND 2019]
The main conceptual idea is developed from the issue of the heating pipes movement in the new spatial organisation. Accordingly, the main issue in the project became the main spatial concept - heating pipes became the main spatial motif in the centre of the new open space. The pipes are additionally accentuated with vivid colouring and interpreted in the structure that holds the continuous outline consisted of dining table, counter and the shelf that circles the living room space.Rad je prikazan u delu publikacije - Nasl. str. prištampanog teksta: Exhibition boo
Kilim [STRAND 2019]
Socio-spatial dynamics and diversity of the context initiated the concept based on the notionof kilim, signifying the place of gathering and community. Kilim is in architectural-spatial terms interpreted into the emphasized ambient dynamics. The aim of this project is to create the architecture which forms the space of kilim, as a three-dimensional, stratified texture conceived as contemporary interpretation of the Bauhaus qualities and aesthetics and the local context.Rad je prikazan u delu publikacije - Nasl. str. prištampanog teksta: Exhibition boo
Interior design: BWC30 [BAB 2019]
The main idea of this interior design is to create visually larger, enlightened and more open spaces in a relatively small city apartment in Dorćol, Belgrade. Therefore, the design concept is based on the strong black and white contrasts, lightning effects, reflective materials and copper details as an aesthetic addition and accentuation. The interior is completely custom made – lightning, furniture elements, steel constructed shelves and kerrock table that creates the continuous form with the black kitchen surface made of the same material, bathroom furniture elements, copper mirrors etc
Cultural Landscape Of Former Yugoslavia And Mediteranian Cities – Planning On Edges And Crossroads
This research aims to open up a discussion about Mediterranean cities in the former Yugoslavia’s republics: Bosnia and Hercegovina, Croatia and Montenegro. Although located in different states, it is possible to trace historical underpins and cultural landscape that have shaped those cities for years – the tradition of a fortified city, the urban matrix, city structure, street proportions and local materials. The challenges that are set ahead planners are how to define universalities and similarities between those cities and yet to pertain authenticity and uniqueness of the very place when introducing new urban form into the urban matrix.
Sensitive geopolitical situation and sociopolitical history on one side, and unique landscape and cityscape on the other, present main starting point for the research. The paper will briefly review the history of the development of several cities and consider its impact on planning and design practice. Those cities, although different in its scale and located on the edge of their own countries, are significantly closer to each other and banded by the Mediterranean sea. The focus of the project will be on researching how these various states treat its cultural heritage and on which goals and values they direct urban development. Analysis of above-stated relations could provide comprehensive insights into changes and challenges of the Mediterranean cities development’s trajectories and contradictions. This paper will argue for the value of understanding cross border understanding of cities, faced with various social and political contexts by recognizing their effects and benefits on urban development
Street frontage between socialism and neoliberalism – Case study Belgrade, Milutin Milankovic Boulevard
The paper focuses on the morphogenesis of street frontage, highly influenced by changes in planning and regulatory system, deepened by abandonment of socialist system and introduction of neoliberal concepts. The most intense changes are perceivable in the narrow street through densification, plot subdivision, increase of built and floor area ratio and change in land use. If the street frontage is observed both as a constructive element of the public realm and a dividing element between private and public ownership, these relations can be perceived as a critical aspects of the image and quality of place.
The focus of the paper is on the morphological profile of Milutin Milankovic’s boulevard in New Belgrade, taken as a axis of linear central activities. This research polygon provides ground for the analysis of urban form development, planned by modernistic principles in socialist period, and transformed in market oriented development manner.
The goal of this paper is to provide ground for spatial and temporal contextualization and offer understanding of urban tissue transformation over the time, using the space syntax model as an integral part of morphological studies. The synthesis of various methods in morphological research can provide a platform for better understanding of the existing built environment affected by socio political processes and needs of local residents and emerging businesses. At the same time, it could create a starting point for further improvement and development of the urban blocks located along the major streets
