UB-FA students’ yearbook 2020/2021 [Architectural Design (1st Year - BA/IA)]
UB-FA Students’ Yearbook is the result of multi-year activities with a focus on archiving and presenting the students’ work in design studio courses, as well as other project-based courses at the University of Belgrade - Faculty of Architecture. The Yearbook is created to be one of the channels for dissemination and promotion of the results from the educational process in bachelor’s and master's programs. Published annually, the Yearbook gives an overview as a systematic insight into topics, approaches, and responses to semester tasks

Human Settlements and Climate Change
Human settlement is a place where people live. It refers to the totality of human community with all the social, material, organizational, spiritual and cultural elements that sustain it. A great variety of settlements exists worldwide, reflecting human needs, abilities and aspirations, as well as social, political and economic relations. Through the ongoing process of urbanisation, the world is steadily becoming more “urban” and less “rural”. Two main challenges that contemporary world is facing today are massive urbanisation and climate change. They are connected in the way that how we plan, produce and consume energy in our cities will have a crucial role in our quest to reverse climate change and its impact, and to provide decent life and homes for people
The Evaluation of Urban Renewal Waterfront Development: The Case of the Sava Riverfront in Belgrade, Serbia
Belgrade is the only capital in the world at the confluence of two major international rivers navigable for global shipment—the Danube and the Sava River. However, it was only after the unification of all riversides within Yugoslavia in 1918 that Belgrade started to develop its riverfront; initially, as green recreation areas during the socialist era. Since the post-socialist transition, this trajectory has sharply changed in order to create new urban nodes along the riverfront. The best example is the newest project of the urban renewal of waterfront development at the Sava River, the “Belgrade Waterfront Project.” This mega-project has sparked a lot of attention. The aim of this research is to present, evaluate, and spatially determine this attention before and after the project inauguration. This observational study is conducted by using two methods from social discourse: a survey, as a traditional method, and analysis based on social network data (Twitter) as a newer, “smarter” one. Comparing and mapping their results, this research offers recommendations on how to harmonize and modernize the development of this crucial potential of Belgrade
Smart green port assesment on planning solution of Dockyard in Belgrade
Urban planning in Serbia is in dilemma on the paradigm and style of planning it should follow.
There were plenty of opportunities taken and realized used top-down approach: eg. Belgrade
waterfront, Urban regeneration of Belgrade Downtown, Infrastructural projects, etc. It seems that
they achieved what was not possible over decades, however there is still lack of participation in
crucial sense that will enable integration of all pillars of sustainability in urban planning and
development. The paper will do a critique on existing planning solution for Dockyard in Belgrade
taking into account Danube strategy and Sustainability paradigm as framework together with
theory of Integrative urban space and green urbanism in relation to communicative theory of urban
planning. The hypothesis is that top-down approach resulting in blue print planning can be starting
point for wider participation towards smart solutions, in this case creating Smart port. Aims of the
paper is to give guidelines for integration of top/down and bottom/up approach in Serbia exploring
case of Plan of detail regulation for Dockyard in Belgrade, resulting in suggestions for its
improvement towards “smart port
Kindergarten in Kragujevac [ 22nd Salon of architecture, 2020] [honourable mention]
