A City as Resilient Machine
Get PDFPublic spaces are modelled by a dominant paradigm in a specific local milieu.
Contemporary theories, like collaborative ones, define a framework for a profession
to make improvements in everyday practice. However, power relations are sometimes
strictly defined and cannot be remodelled in the same tempo as the need for
investment realisation. We can say that participatory urban design needs time to
redesign power relations to implement consensual solutions. Furthermore, there is a
noticeable trend of places being designed more by power-over than power-to
(Dovey,1999). This is the case in Serbia nowadays. The profession is seeking to find
adequate methods that can substitute participatory ones to achieve sustainable places
that are greener, more sociable and more profitable. Having this in mind, the main
question of the research arises: Can the methods of space syntax theory replace
participatory methods in the regeneration of open public spaces? The hypothesis is
that the methods of space syntax need participatory ones to create more sustainable
places. The main thesis is that a city is a resilient machine. The aims of the research
are to prove that space can be a resilient machine if it is modelled with both space
syntax and participatory methods and to show that space syntax methods in place
creation can replace or support participatory ones when participation cannot be
realised. This research will use the methodology of theory comparison as well as case
study

This research is based on the results of the installation and questioning the phenomenon of simultaneous presence and absence in urban space through material and non-material duality. Therefore, the contemporary urban context, former industrial character, functionally abandoned, consists of constant virtual, informational, emotional, ephemeral flows and processes occurring
within their interaction. Accordingly, the idea of the spatial installation was to materialize and catch non-material flows occurring on a daily basis in the contemporary networked context and everydayness with the idea of presenting the new possible forms, patterns and models of contemporary urban and architectural forms
SOHO Vienna - Karaoke & Cocktail bar [BAB 2021]
Get PDFSOHO Vienna is located in Millennium City, a shopping and entertainment center in Vienna, Austria. Context, a multitude of programs (cocktail & hookah bar, karaoke, DJ, a stage, a VIP area) and diversity of visitors required various ambiance for different activities and groups of users. In efforts to meet the client`s desires for aesthetics that reflect hookah bar, but also contemporary nightlife style, the backbone of the concept is presented in the “Boho” area created from an assemblage of different patterns and geometry. Blending the variegated programs and styles was challenging. The area of the club is divided into 3 zones /hookah bar, stage & cocktail bar area and “terrace”/. The fluidity of the ambient is achieved by integrating different zones applying characteristic patterns, colors, and materials. All furniture and lighting features were specially designed and custom-made for this club.SOHO Vienna se nalazi u trgovačkom i zabavnom centru „Millennium City” u Beču, Austrija. Kontekst, mnoštvo programa (koktel i nargila bar, karaoke, DJ, bina, VIP prostor) i raznovrsnost posetilaca zahtevali su raznolik ambijent za različite aktivnosti i grupe korisnika. U nastojanju da se zadovolje želje klijenata za estetikom koja odražava nargila bar, ali i savremeni stil noćnog života, okosnica koncepta je predstavljena u „Boho“ prostoru kroz kombinacije različitih dezena i geometrija. Preklapanje raznovrsnih programa i stilova bilo je izazovno. Prostor kluba podeljen je na 3 zone /nargila bar, bina i koktel bar i „terasa“/. Fluidnost ambijenta postiže se integracijom različitih zona primenom karakterističnih šara, boja i materijala. Sav nameštaj i elementi osvetljenja su posebno dizajnirani i izrađeni za ovaj klub
Heritage Value Matrix - HVM
Get PDFThe Heritage Value Matrix (HVM) is recognized as a growing analytical tool in the study of architectural and urban heritage, which finds its methodological roots within the value-based approach of architectural programming. The EU Council Work Plan for Culture 2019-2022 denotes architecture as a cross-cutting field and “as a discipline that encompasses the right balance between cultural, social, economic, environmental and technical aspects for the common good”. The right balance between these aspects also implies a focus on achieving sustainable development, which is why the identification of values that will be the triggers of this process is extremely important in research, education, practice and policy making. At the general level, HVM is an analytical cross-cutting system in which two axes intersect - problem and value. The first activates a problem-based approach in order to identify the scope that needs to be critically engaged through design process (problem-solving), while the second points to values that decode the contextual framework of heritage

Posle uvodnog dela u kojem se detaljnije izlaže projektni program, sledi osvrt na teorijske utemeljenosti postavke zadatka koje su poslužile kao oslonac za formulacije programa. Šest obrađenih tematskih jedinica tokom semestra grupisano je potom u tri dela knjige koji na sličan analitičko-sintetički način objašnjavaju teorijske i praktične elemente metodskih jedinica praćene ilustracijama studentskih radova. Doc. dr Pavle Stamenović tretira pitanja arhitektonske forme i volumetrije, doc. dr Ivana Rakonjac pitanja odnosa prema neposrednom i širem kontekstu i doc. dr Jelena Ristić Trajković pitanja funkcionalnih i organizacionih aspekata stambenih jedinica. Knjiga je zamišljena kao zbirka eseja na stambene teme, ilustrovana konkretnim projektima na konkretnim zadacima rađenim u okviru nastave na Arhitektonskom fakultetu u Beogradu. Namenjena je podjednako zainteresovanim nastavnicima i pogotovu studentima, kao i široj publici koju zanima metodologija izvođenja jednog segmenta nastave iz oblasti stanovanja na AF BGD. Recognizing changes in natural conditions within the landscape and diversity in nature as a reflection of social, cultural and economic circumstances, the workshop examines the development of new analytical strategies towards establishing (1) integrated research of landscape patterns and (2) understanding of city morphogenesis. The workshop subject is the research of the relationship between urban and rural landscape, as well as the transformation of the natural into the cultural landscape. Get PDFProjekat srebrnarnice ARGENTUM, u zaleđu objekta orijentisanog ka centralnom trgu bana Josipa Jelačića u Zagrebu, predstavlja rezultat dugogodišnje saradnje i zajedničkih napora investitora i projektanta u pronalaženju optimalnog rešenja za plasiranje specifične vrste nakita na tržište. Za razliku od zlatara, srebrnarnice izlažu nakit koji je dostupan široj paleti kupaca. Projektantski pristup je sličan u pogledu funkcije, prezentacije nakita, bezbednosti i privatnosti korisnika prostora. Problem prilikom projektovanja se javlja u odabiru materijala, koji bi na izgled trebalo da odišu određenom dozom luksuza sa primesom ekskluzive, ali u cenovnom rangu pripadaju paleti prozvoda srednjeg ranga. Međutim, lokacija u mnogome utiče na odluke u pogledu potencijalnih klijenata, odabira nakita i načina njegovog prezentovanja, pa samim tim i omogućava određene kompromise.The ARGENTUM silver shop project, situated at the rear of the building facing Ban Josip Jelačić's central square in Zagreb, is the result of many years of collaboration and joint efforts between investors and designers in finding the optimal solution for introducing a specific type of jewelry to the market. Unlike goldsmiths, silver shops display jewelry that is accessible to a broader range of customers. The design approach is similar in terms of function, jewelry presentation, safety, and user privacy. The challenge during the design process arises in the selection of materials that should appear to exude a certain level of luxury with a touch of exclusivity, while still falling within the mid-range price category. дисциплине фокусирајући се на кризу функције аутора,
полазећи од претпоставке да дијалектичка форма начелно
биографског приступа у анализи архитектонске материје,
поред својих практичних и педагошких оправдања, не
поседује капацитет за разоткривање стварне историјске
сврхе. Уводни део истраживања тумачи водећу улогу коју
херменеутичка делатност добија у модернизму захваљујући
херметичном карактеру модерних уметничких начела као и
псеудохерметичном позиционирању теоријских упоришта.
Основна претпоставка рада је да се у актуелном времену
поредак вредности коренито мења слабљењем интегралног
текста који је у епохи модернизације претходио самом
постојању дела. У другом делу истраживања осветљава се
порекло ауторског статуса објекта, почев од иницијалног
момента индивидуализације идеја у ренесанси, па све до
његове рационализације и формализације у модернизму,
док трећи део анализира примарне основе дискурзивне
архитектонске дисциплине изведене из Витрувијевог
(Vitruvius) списа о филозофском образовању архитеката.
Четврти део денотира кризу вредности чији су корени
дубљи и елементарнији од симбиозе између производње
и менаџмента или сујете интерпретатора, сагледавајући
је у ширем контексту специфичног стања просветитељске
културе и њеног света као инхерентне дезинтеграције
јединственог појма истинитог. Категорије на којима почива
модерна епистемологија архитектонске дисциплине
неминовно постављају услов за сопствено прекорачење
и дестабилизацију, где губитак обриса основне фигуре
идентитета и раслојавање субјективног хоризонта као и
дисциплинарног наратива води до привидне или стварне
анонимности дискурса радикализујући креативни чин
и праксу. Историјски метод у раду условљен је самом
природом архитектонских објеката чије истраживање
ангажује самосвојствене изворе сазнања, разликујући се
од парадигматског модела неких других дисциплина које
не стварају облике већ су искључиво везане за анализу
догађаја

No full textКроз текст који је пратио портфолио смо покушали да укратко објаснимо методологију која је развијена од ручних цртежа до дигиталних колажа. Аплицирајући радове фокусирали смо се на две можда кључне серије радова. Укрштајући њих, приказали смо потенцијал методологије. Како је у оквиру овог конкурса тражен уметнички портфолио кроз неколико радова одлучили смо се за форму диптиха. Прецизније, у другом кругу конкурса нисмо приказивали радове у целости (а) већ у половини свог формата (а/2). На тај начин смо довели у непосредну везу радове из исте серије било да је у питању Millions of City Plans Transformation: Micro Macro Atmospheres Mapping илиBehind the Glitch: Cityscape Transformation Mapping. Радови појединачно анализирају различите размере како смо кроз претходне тестове објаснили. Када су били приказани у форми триптиха имали су форму јасно издвојених фрагмената. У овом случају су они пресечени, чиме је наглашен њихов међуоднос и питање границе померања дистанце као важног дела процеса
Проблеми спровођења планова генералне регулације Београда
No full textCilj ovog rada je istraživanje uticaja koje pojedine odredbe PGR Beograda i PGR sistema zelenih površina Beograda imaju na dalje sprovođenje strateških odluka i sveobuhvatnih rešenja ovih planova, nastalih u dugotrajnim i višeslojnim procesima široke participacije, koordinacije i usklađivanja mnogobrojnih javnih politika, različitih interesa, normi i standarda. Sistem beogradskih planova – od Prostornog plana republike Srbije, preko RPPAP grada Beograda, generalnog urbanističkog plana i sveobuhvatnih planova generalne regulacije, pa sve do pojedinačnih detaljnih planova i, naposletku, urbanističkih projekata, strukturiran je tako da sprovodi jedinstvenu prostornu politiku. Ta politika je, u skladu sa proklamovanim načelima, zasnovana na tržišnoj ekonomiji, održivom razvoju, visokim ekološkim standardima, ravnopravnosti svih građana, socijalnoj pravdi i dostupnosti socijalnih sadržaja i infrastrukture i sl. Ipak, u praksi se susrećemo (sve češće!) sa prostornim rešenjima koja nisu u skladu sa navedenim opšte prihvaćenim društvenim vrednostima i pomenutim strateškim planovima. Sa ciljem da razumemo uzroke ovog neskalada, u ovom radu istražujemo mehanizme i eventualne nedorečenosti sistema planiranja, odnosno hijerarhije planova koja dovodi do njih. U zaključnim razmatranjima, diskutije se uticaj specifičnih smernica sprovođenja planova generalne regulacije na urbanističko planiranje Beograda.This paper aims to research how specific regulations od General regulation plan of Belgrade and General regulation plan of green areas system of Belgrade, impact further implementation of the strategic resolutions and comprehensive solutions of these plans, which were adopted during long-term and complex processes of wide participation, coordination and harmonization of numerous public policies, different interests, norms and standards. System of Belgrade town plans – from Spatial plan of Serbia and Belgrade, Belgrade master plan, to comprehensive plans of general regulation, and finally to regulation plans and projects, is structured in order to implement sole spatial policy. This policy, according to proclaimed principles, is based on market economy, sustainable development, high ecological standards, and equality of all citizens, social justice and affordability of social and communal infrastructure for everyone. However, in planning practice we meet (quite often) spatial solutions that are in discrepancy to adopted values and strategies from higher level plans. Aiming to understand causes of this disharmony, in this paper we explore mechanisms and positional ambiguities of domestic planning system and hierarchy of plans that makes them possible. In the concluding remarks, the impact of specific guidelines for the implementation of general regulation plans on the urban planning of Belgrade is discussed
