SUBMIT NOMINATIONS FOR THE ANNUAL LEADERSHIP AND SERVICE 
AWARDS 
The 7th Annual Leadership and Service Awards banquet is coming up on 
Saturday, April 29. This ceremony recognizes students, staff, and faculty who 
exemplify the qualities and excellence of service, leadership, and the core 
values of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet.  
All members of the Fontbonne community are welcome to nominate Fontbonne 
undergraduate and graduate students, recognize student organizations, faculty 
and staff for their extraordinary leadership and service through character, 
collaboration, and citizenship. 
 
Preliminary nominations for all awards will be due by Wednesday, March 1, 
2023 at noon. Students that have been nominated for individual leadership 
awards will then be notified of their nomination and will be asked to submit 
personal reasoning as to why they believe they are deserving of the specific

Established in 1995, the Leadership and Service Awards celebrate individuals 
and organizations whose influence and achievements have made a significant 
impact on the Fontbonne University campus and beyond. 
 
 
ASH Wednesday MASS - February 22 
We will be offering an Ash Wednesday liturgy in Doerr Chapel at 11:45 a.m.  
 
 
ALAS MOVIE NIGHT - February 23  
Students will watch a movie presented by the Association of Latin Students at 6 
p.m.  
 
FONTBONNE LEADERSHIP SUMMIT: February 25th 
Student leaders looking to develop skills and enhance core competencies that 
will be beneficial on campus and in future careers should register for the first 
Fontbonne Leadership Summit – a day-long event taking place on Saturday, 
February 25 from 9 a.m-4 p.m. During the summit, participants will hear from 
Alex Weber – an American Ninja Warrior and motivational speaker – regarding 
steps to personal success and future actions; will attend various sessions 
focused on enhancing personal and professional leadership skills; and will 
engage with their peers in conversations regarding best practices and new 
 
lessons on how we all provide a community that appreciates and respects one 
another in which everyone feels as though they belong and contribute. Click

BLACK PROFESSIONAL'S DISCUSSION PANEL - February 28 
Come to the Lewis Room from 6 - 8 p.m. as black professionals from the St. 
Louis area will come and speak on their experiences navigating professional 
standards, rooted in white supremacy, while being Black.

FISA'S CHERRY BLOSSOM OUTDOOR PICNIC - March 20th 
International Student and FISA Club President, Airi Murata, will bring the 
Japanese celebration of National Cherry Blossom Day through a lunch 
experience starting at 11 a.m. in the Golden Meadow  
 
 
UNAPOLOGETICALLY WOMEN WALL - March 23th 
Students, faculty and staff will have an opportunity to write about being a 
woman, unapologetically, on a wall provided in Ryan Dining hall during the 
lunch hour. 
 
 
ALAS HISPANIC/LATINX STUDENT OPEN FORUM - March 30th 
Students will have an open forum and discussion lead by ALAS' Executive 
Board at 5pm in AB 102. 
 
 
CENTENNIAL TIME CAPSULE 
What do they need to know in 25 years? About Fontbonne? About YOU? Next 
spring, University Archives is planning to bury a short-term time capsule as part 
of the Centennial celebration, and we’re looking for ideas of items to include.

STAMPING YOUR CENTENNIAL PASSPORT 
The Centennial Passport Program is still continuing forward – just as an online 
process instead of physical stamping. When you attend a campus event, 
CLICK HERE to submit your passport stamp request for Traditions, Athletics, 
Academics, Multicultural or Leadership. Simply snap a photo of yourself at the 
event you believe covers that category and submit the link within two hours of 
the event ending! Students that complete this process by SpringFest ’23 (in 
April 2023) are eligible to win the grand prize consisting of $500.00 to 
 
Southwest Air and $500.00 to a hotel chain! Contact Joel Hermann, with
