Factors associated with attempt for smoking cessation among hardcore smokers in Taiwan
No full textBackground: Tobacco control activities have mostly influenced those smokers who found it easier to quit and, thus, remaining smokers are those who are less likely to stop smoking. This phenomenon is called "hardening hypothesis," which individuals unwilling or unable to quit smoking and likely to remain so. The aim of this study was to identify the factors correlated with smoking cessation among hardcore smokers. Methods: A cross-sectional descriptive correlational research design was employed. Hardcore smokers from communities in Taiwan were recruited to participate in the study (N = 187). Self-report questionnaires were used to collect demographic data as well as data on nicotine dependence, quitting self-efficacy, social smoking motives, attitudes towards the Tobacco Hazards Prevention Act (THPA), and smoking cessation. Logistic regression analysis was used to examine the factors that were related to quit smoking. Results: About 30.3% (n = 54) reported having experienced quitting smoking over 7 days in the past year. Logistic regression analysis indicated that attitudes towards the THPA was identified as a particularly important factor contributing to the increase in smoking cessation among hardcore smokers. Conclusions: Nurses should cooperate with smoking cessation coaches to facilitate the improvement of attitudes towards the THPA as a key means through which to increase the smoking cessation rate among hardcore smokers

No full text指導教授:梁菁萍背景：醫療廢棄物管理是越南與全世界十分引人關注的的問題。世界衛生組織（WHO）指出，大多數發展中國家的醫療廢棄物管理與處理過程不當，將威脅人民與社會的生活環境與安全。
目的： 本研究目的為（1） 評估學生對醫療廢棄物管理的知識（2） 評估學生對醫療廢棄物管理的態度（3） 人口特性、知識、態度和醫療廢棄物管理之間的關係？
方法： 針對Duy Tan大學的149名至醫院進行臨床實習並準備畢業之護理學生進行橫斷面描述性設計研究。自2020年12月至2021年3月，在越南大港市中央醫院、婦產科醫院、康復醫院和3家區域級醫院進行一份自我管理問卷的調查。問卷內容包括人口特徵、對醫療廢物管理的知識與態度與李克特量表（Likert Scale）。利用SPSS（ 16.0 版本）進行收集數據之統計分析
結果：資料分析結果顯示：有30.2%（N =42）護理學生知識程度為好，69.8%（n=97）護理學生知識程度薄弱。學生的態度表現最積極程度為80.6%（n = 112），其次是非常積極的水準為10.1%（n=14），一般態度為7.9%（n = 11），只有1.4%（n = 2）為較差程度的態度，在卡方分析結果與相關分析進行人口特性、對醫院廢物管理的知識與態度進行統計分析，
研究結果顯示：參與醫院醫療廢棄物管理訓練課程的學生，與其年齡、性別、生活狀況之間未呈現統計上相關，與其對廢棄物管理的知識與態度之間也不具統計上相關性。
結論： 研究結果顯示了護理學生對醫療廢棄物管理的知識與態度。本研究建議應該提高護理學生的知識與態度，並解決護理學生在醫院中對於醫療廢物管理過程中的困難與承受之風險等問題
