MICHAEL PSELLOS AND IOANE PETRITSI ON INTELLECT
Michael Psellos exposed his theory on intellect in two major texts: De omnifaria doctrina and Philosophica minora. Psellos’ theory is based on different philosophical sources, including, first and foremost, Proclus’ texts. The younger contemporary of Psellos, Georgian philosopher Ioane Petritsi, who was trained in Byzantine philosophical school and was well acquainted with ancient Greek philosophical tradition, also commented on Proclus and his theory of intellect. For Proclus, Psellos and Petritsi intellect is an important entity because it embraces Forms and is, therefore, a basis for all kinds of beings. The aim of this paper is to analyze Psellos’ and Petritsi’s theories of intellect and their interrelationship taking into consideration their dependence on the common philosophical sources, mainly Proclus’ Elements of theology
Preotul Augustin Pop - model de Mărturisitor în contemporaneitate
The exhortation of the Holy Apostle Paul in the Epistle to the Hebrews is providential: „Remember your elders, who spoke the word of God to you; look carefully at how they ended their lives and followed their faith” (Hebrews 13: 7) to highlight the personality and confessional profile of Archpriest Augustin Pop. The descendant of several families of priests, on paternal and maternal line, Father Augustin Pop is originally from the parts of Zalău (Bozna place), Sălaj County in the family of the Orthodox priest Ioan and Maria Pop. Despite the difficult childhood he had, after graduating from the Hungarian-language Pedagogical School in Cluj-Napoca, being called by God to the priesthood, he took his steps in 1922 to the Theological Academy in Sibiu, where he was guided by strong faith in God and by the teachers here, he begins his mission in the Lord’s vineyard, later bringing honor to his family, the Orthodox Church and our Romanian Nation
Satul românesc bârgăoan în perioada horthistă 1940-19441
This stuty has two fundamental aims. First of all, I tryed to emphasize the profound sensitivity of the Transylvanians to the significance of the Romanian village in the history of the Romanian people, as seen for example by poets and writers such as George Coșbuc, Octavian Goga, Lucian Blaga, and Liviu Rebreanu. Secondly, the study presents the hard period, through which the Romanians from the Northern Transylvania, namely the Bârgău Valley, passed. In this exposition I will highlight elements about country life in the Romanian village of Bârgău between tradition and survival, as well as the atrocities that the peasants and the intellectuals of the Bârgău Valley had to endure during the period of Horthist regime. Also in this regard I will describe the massacre that took place in the town of Prundu Bîrgăului on the night of October 10, 1944. Regarding the Romanian village of Bârgău I will briefly emphasize the personality of the confessional priest Augustin Pop, who, according to the say "œman sanctifies the place", was a blessing for the people from the village of Bârgău Mijlocenii Bârgăului, but also for those from the neighboring villages
Dimensiunea ecumenică intrinsecă a Evangheliei. Adaptare cultural "“ lingvistică și motivație biblică la Irineu de Lyon
According to Irenaeus"™ point of view, the Gospel is endowed with an intrinsic ecumenical dimension, because the teachings of the Gospel had to be preached all around the world. He was convinced of the necessity and the obligation of fulfilling the commandment left by Jesus to his Apostles and apprentices. Accordingly, Irenaeus was convinced of the necessity to evangelize all the people, and this necessity drew its source from the Gospel itself and from its "divine empowerment", the final purpose being the redemption of the entire humankind. The aim of the present study is to illustrate the evolution and the complexity of the ecumenical dimension of the Gospel and at the same time the theological evolution of one of the most representative Fathers of the first centuries, Saint Irenaeus of Lyon. He understood perfectly the power of dialogue and of pastoral mission, mission that was directed not only towards the Christians, who at that time were somewhat confused by the multitude of doctrines, but also towards the pagans to whom he presents the message of the Gospel about the love of Jesus Christ

COMMUNICATION AND COMMUNION
The digital land brings a new subject to debate about the most appropriate framework to guide religion expression in online settings to promote the Church tradition mission and to build a spiritual identity in a world of crisis. In the last months, there were many voices telling that Orthodox Church in Romania has a communication problem. In order to understand the process of communication of the Church in the digital era, we need to underlie this process in the psychology and sociology of communication theories. Therefore, our analysis is an attempt to better understand the challenges derived from the communication of religious subject in a context saturated by media influence over social iconology of the Church and over spiritual communion and identity. We discuss different perspectives on framing information, on the relation between the Church mission as public communicator and media agenda. Finally, we identify some positive aspects of re-thinking communication process in order to increase the Church capacity of building a powerful strategy for social messages and educating communities in the culture of Truth. Moreover, the success of moral communication means opening a dynamic pastoral program incorporating psycho-sociological aspects of communication.

The Christian-Orthodox Faith and Christian Transhumanism
The Church has been confronted with various challenges in the recent period. One of these is the transhumanist movement that aims to create a new man by using the means of science and technology. In this context, the "œChristian Transhumanist Association" was set up, an organization that proposes a dialogue with Transhumanism and even a way to find compatibilities between Christianity and this new trend. In this essay, having "œThe Christian Transhumanist Affirmation" as a starting point, we will try to offer a possible perspective from the point of view of Orthodox Christianity in relation to what this association claims.

Succintă analiză comparativă între obiectele lumii tradiționale, ca elemente identitare, și obiectele lumii postmoderne, ca bunuri de consum
This paper aims to present the influence of the consumer society on the way we relate to objects. Comparing the way of reporting to the object of the traditional world and of the consumer society we can observe significant changes. The consumer society promotes a certain standard of life that you can only access through consumption. In the paper I pointed out that the objects of the traditional Maramureș world have profound meanings, they represent a symbol between generations. The traditional object is characterized by sustainability as opposed to that of the consumer society whose life is very short. The consumer society creates artificial needs that deepen the dissatisfaction of not owning enough. In a society that incites to unlimited consumption, building a moral attitude based on discernment is of utmost importance
Simbolismul peșterii în Tracia și Grecia Antică
The present study deals with the symbolism of the cave in ancient Greece and Thrace. For Greeks, the caves have multiple meanings; they are an allegory of human nature and illustrate the journey of the soul to the knowledge of the supreme Good. But caves can be also oracles of the dead because souls detached from their bodies had a clearer perception of all things and processes. In Antiquity, the consultation of the divine will through an oracle was the most powerful guidance that a human could get. For Thracians, caves where spaces where the immortal anthropodaimons had their eternal subterranean existence. The immortality of these characters is strange because they don`t go to Olympus, but stay forever where the earth swallowed them. From there, they act as mediators between the worlds, as healers and, sometime, endow people with immortality. The Thracian imagined world of the dead points to this direction of interpretation
THE ORTHODOX RELIGIOUS PUBLICATIONS IN ROMANIA FROM THE CLASSICAL PRINTING TO ONLINE EDITIONS
A research on the rise and decline of the Romanian Orthodox religious media in the last 30 years cannot ignore the paradigm shifts caused by the emergence of new information and communication technologies and the global Internet network. The theological and spiritual contents do not instantly adapt to technological innovations and, therefore, the printing press remains a space for reflection in religious communication, between the opportunities and risks of rapid change. The transition of religious publications from print editions to online editions is necessary. However, by virtue of spiritual discernment, it requires a balance between tradition and renewal. This balance is kept due to three elements: the respect for the heritage of the printed sacred culture, the pastoral care for the older generations and the awareness of the responsibility for the unaltered transmission of the spiritual content of faith to the generation of digital natives.
