The Challenges of Girl-Child Education in Ungogo Local Government Area of Kano State in Nigeria on 1999-2019
Since the introduction of Western education to Northern Nigeria, especially in the 1920s, many Muslims in the region found it objectionable as it tempered with their religio-cultural values including for instance, co-education. In light of this therefore, this paper identifies and examines the major challenges affecting girl child education in Ungogo Local Government Area of Kano State, Nigeria. Using both primary and secondary sources that are augmented with a qualitative data analysis, the researchers administered a total number of 120 questionnaires across five (5) political wards of Ungogo Local Government Area that were purposively sampled. Out of the 120 questionnaires administered, only 105 were retrieved representing 87.5% response rate. Data collected is analysed using descriptive statistics. Results revealed that religio-cultural reasons, poverty, lack of viable government educational policies and parental preference to educate the male child are the major factors curtailing the chances of the girl child to have access to western education in the area of study

Learning Style: Visual, Auditory and Kinesthetic
Abstract: Learning style is the way how students absorb and compose the information received. The learning style approach is generally divided into three aspects; visual, auditory and kinesthetic. First, the visual style, which makes learning the most memorable when looking at learning with image media. Both styles are auditory, which impresses learning through the sound that is heard. Then the hearing learning style is a listening learning style. Students with this learning style are more dominant in using the sense of hearing when carrying out the learning and teaching process. Visual learning style likes skill and order, wants to speak quickly, likes to make careful plans for the future, and is very detailed in detail. Third, active style, or what is called a kinesthetic learner. Meanwhile, the kinesthetic learning style is by moving, touching, and working. They learn by prioritizing their feelings and physical movements. The application of this learning style in learning activities has produced various positive impressions in the educational arena.

Unpacking Civil-Military Relations Trajectory in the New Dispensation in Zimbabwe
The removal of Mugabe by the civil-military alliance ushered a new hope for improved civil-military relations in Zimbabwe. Prior to the coup, civil-military relations were strained and the military was unleashed by the government on the civilians to undermine democracy. During the ouster of Mugabe the military used the civilians to demonstrate thereby legitimising their putsch. There was euphoria among the civilians that this was the beginning of democracy and the stabilisation of civil-military relations. However the exultation suffered from stillbirth as the military continued with its traditional practice of untethering violence and coercion on the civilian, in the post-Mugabe epoch militarisation reached its crescendo. This research analyses civil-military relations in the context of the role of the military in the 2018 elections, militarisation of artisanal small-scale mining in Zimbabwe and the collision of militarisation and state capture. This paper argues that the political vicissitude heralded the military-executive alliance that employs an orgy of violence on the civilians hence this exacerbates strained civil-military relations in Zimbabwe and cast a horrendous situation for democracy in the future. The Corona virus 2019 (COVID 19) lockdowns rules and regulations have aggravated the relations as the military used comprehensive surveillance against the civilians.
