    Meningkatkan Kemahiran Mengingat Lima Hukum Asas Tajwid Dalam Tilawah Al-Quran

    Artikel ini bertujuan mengkaji kemahiran mengingat pelajar terhadap lima hukum asas tajwid ketika mentilawahkan al-Quran. Kajian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif berbentuk ujian pra dan pasca ke atas 10 orang pelajar tingkatan 2 (DLP) dari Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Panglima Bukit Gantang, Parit Buntar, Perak. Sebelum pengkaji memperkenalkan kaedah pengajaran tajwid yang baharu, pengkaji perlu mengesan terlebih dahulu kelemahan pelajar. Tinjauan awal dilakukan dengan menyemak bacaan pelajar ketika waktu pengajaran dan didapati kebanyakan pelajar tidak mampu mengingat lima hukum asas tajwid selain terdapat banyak kesalahan dalam pembacaan. Jadi, pengkaji memperkenalkan kaedah jari tangan kanan bagi memastikan pelajar boleh mengingat lima hukum asas tajwid dan membaca al-Quran dengan baik. Dapatan kajian menunjukkan bahawa, pelajar bukan hanya mampu mengingat hukum-hukum tajwid malah dapat mengkategorikan jenis-jenis bacaan. Dapatan kajian ini juga turut menyumbang kepada maklumat asas mengenai fungsi tanwin (ًٌٍ ) dan nun sakinah (نْ). Kaedah jari tangan kanan mempunyai kelebihan yang tersendiri dan kaedah ini perlu diperluaskan sebagai alat bantu mengajar dalam arus perdana.   Enhancing the Skills of Memorizing the Five Basics of Tajweed in Holy Quran Recitation Abstract: This article aims to study students’ memorization skills on the five basics of tajweed when reciting the Quran. This study uses a quantitative approach in the form of pre and post-tests on 10 form 2 students (DLP) from Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Panglima Bukit Gantang, Parit Buntar, Perak. Before the researcher introduces a new method of teaching tajweed, the researcher must first detect the weaknesses of the students. A preliminary survey was done by checking students’ reciting during teaching sessions and it was found that most students are not able to memorize the five basics of tajweed apart from there are many errors in reciting. So, the researcher introduced the method of the right-hand finger to ensure that students can memorize the five basics of tajweed and recite the holy Quran well. The findings of the study show that students are not only able to memorize tajweed but can also recognize the types of recitation. The findings of this study also contribute to the basic information on the function of tanween (ًٌٍ ) and nun sakinah (نْ). The right-handed finger method has its advantages and this method needs to be expanded as a teaching aid in the mainstream.     Development and Application of Nanoparticle Technology in Herbal Drug Formulation- A Review

    Formulations of Herbal medicine are continuously being developed to improve health and treatment through natural ingredients obtained from the surrounding environment with scientific evidence. Common problems in herbal medicine are bioavailability, solubility, absorption of active substances and low stability. Recently, it has become a development trend to enter the realm of nanoparticle technology to its application in herbal drug formulations. Nanoparticle technology is a technology of drug particles are made on the nanoscale (10 nm-1000 nm). Many studies have been carried out on the development and application of nanoparticle-based delivery technology containing natural ingredients, from these results nanoparticle-based delivery technology has succeeded in delivering these natural materials through certain mechanisms in increasing the activity and bioavailability of herbal medicinal compounds. Particles at the nanoparticle scale have distinctive physical properties compared to particles at a larger size, especially in increasing the amount and purpose of delivering drug compounds. Another advantage of nanoparticle technology is the potential to be combined with other technologies, thus opening up opportunities to produce more perfect and targeted delivery systems. Examples of nanotechnologies that can be used are polymer nanoparticles, solid lipid particles, magnetic nanoparticles, and others. The manufacture of preparations based on nanoparticle technology is an alternative in the manufacture of herbal medicines and it is hoped that the bioavailability and therapy produced in the body will be better

    Dynamics and Trends in Vaccine Procurement and Distribution in Zimbabwe

    The subject of COVID-19 vaccines has generated debate across the globe as it has created a fecund ground for a plethora of dynamics such as vaccine diplomacy, misinformation, and struggle for dominance among global powers to mention but a few. Thus, the vaccine subject has taken-center stage in global discourses, resulting in developing and developed nations experiencing challenges in respect to purchase, transparency, and accountability in the administration of vaccines. The subject of vaccines in Zimbabwe has provoked public skepticism indicative of the existing trust deficit between government and the citizens. This emanates from strong evidence of abuse of public resources and hence questions of transparency and accountability especially in relation to disaster situations. To this end, this paper seeks to bring to light the trends and dynamics in vaccine procurement and distribution in Zimbabwe. The study examines the correlation between vaccine diplomacy (donation-trap diplomacy) and vaccine purchases. A chronological analysis of the approved vaccines, rejection of Johnson and Johnson and sudden acceptance, natural resource implications of the donations from ALROSA, poor public resource management, vaccine shortages, vaccine misinformation and vaccine cheating. Possible ways of enhancing vaccine intake through quality information are also discussed and Zimbabwe`s performance against other African nations is examined. The research ends by proposing a series of questions which should be embraced to fully comprehend the trends and dynamics of vaccine procurement and distribution

    Implementation of Alternative Delivery Mode Learning Resources Amidst COVID-19 Pandemic: Basis for Intervention Program

    This study aimed to assess the implementation of the Alternative Delivery Mode (ADM) Learning Resources as a basis for an intervention program amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. The study employed a descriptive survey research design. Using a universal sampling technique, a total of 30 Learning Resource Coordinators in a selected school division in Central Luzon, Philippines participated in the survey and data gathering. The researchers also used an adapted research instrument to gather essential information for the study. With the help Microsoft Excel, the researchers tabulated and organized the data. Afterwards, the gathered data underwent descriptive statistical analysis using frequency and percentage. The study found that the ADM Learning Resources developed by teachers exceeded DepEd's total number of Most Essential Learning Competencies (MELCs). For the total number of learners who preferred modular printed learning modality, it reached 67.89%.  There were 100% ADM Learning Resources provided to learners in all grade levels for the status of printed learning resources. Based on the earlier results, the researcher provided some essential recommendations, particularly an intervention program for this study

    Ciri Khas Gaya Pembelajaran Elemen Persekitaran dan Elemen Fisiologi Murid Lemah untuk Belajar dan Memproses Maklumat Baru

    Kajian ini bertujuan untuk mendedahkan tentang penerimaan murid dalam kemahiran dan maklumat pembelajaran yang dilakukan di sekolah rendah. Kajian ini juga bertujuan untuk memahami ciri khas gaya pembelajaran elemen persekitaran dan elemen fisiologi murid yang lemah berdasarkan kecenderungan mereka untuk belajar dan kemampuan memproses maklumat baru. Kajian ini adalah kajian kes yang menggunakan data kualitatif untuk menjawab persoalan yang dinyatakan. Penyelidik menggunakan Model Dunn & Dunn sebagai panduan dalam menganalisis data pemerhatian dalam gaya pembelajaran yang disokong oleh wawancara dan analisis hasil kerja murid. 16 peserta dipilih dengan sengaja untuk kajian ini. Dapatan menunjukkan bahawa rangsangan gaya pembelajaran elemen persekitaran dan elemen fisiologi mendorong atau merangsang pembelajaran murid yang lemah. Kesimpulannya, di samping strategi yang baik, gaya pembelajaran sebagai petunjuk pembelajaran dan pencapaian yang meningkatkan kualiti penerimaan maklumat murid. Oleh itu, penemuan ini merungkai hubungan antara gaya pembelajaran dan kesan pembelajaran murid yang perlu diberi perhatian oleh pendidik untuk memenuhi pengajaran dan cara pembelajaran murid. Special Characteristics of Learning Styles Environmental Elements and Physiological Elements of Weak Students to Learn and Process New Information Abstract: This study aims to reveal about the acceptance of students in the skills and information of learning done in primary schools. This study also aims to understand the special characteristics of learning styles of environmental elements and physiological elements of weak students based on their propensity to learn and ability to process new information. This study is a case study that uses qualitative data to answer the stated questions. Researchers used the Dunn and Dunn Model as a guide in analyzing observational data in a learning style supported by interviews and analysis of student work outcomes. 16 participants were deliberately selected for this study. Findings indicate that learning style stimuli of environmental elements and physiological elements induce or stimulate poor student learning. In conclusion, in addition to good strategies, learning style as an indicator of learning and achievement that improves the quality of student information reception. Therefore, these findings unravel the relationship between learning styles and student learning effects that need to be given attention by educators to meet the teaching and learning methods of students.     An Investigation into Organisation Capacity for National Disaster Management in Zimbabwe: The Case of the Department of Civil Protection

    Across the globe, disasters – both natural and man-made – have threatened humanity. These disasters had grave and devastating impact on human life, infrastructure, and the environment as evidenced by the February 2000 Cyclone Eline and March 2019 Cyclone Idai. This research sought to investigate the Department of Civil Protection`s (DCP) capacity in national disaster management. The research examines how the DCP handled cyclones from 2000-2019 in Chimanimani District. Organisational capacity was assessed on the basis of its core principles which are: leadership, management and operations, community engagement, service and evaluation. The study discovered that inadequate financial and human resources, poor emergency response systems, weak learning and lessons drawing, reactive disaster management, weak pre-disaster management community engagement, poor reconstruction and failure to harmonise military and DCP operational structures are factors undermining DCP`s capacity for national disaster management. The research recommends that government should avail adequate resources, DCP should be proactive in disaster management, should openly contract-out reconstruction works, and collaborate with universities to strengthen organisational learning capacity, align military and DCP operational structures and processes and let Non-Governmental Organisations (NGO) distribute food and other humanitarian aid

    PT. Epson Batam (PEB) adalah perusahaan multinasional dengan jumlah karyawan lebih dari 3000 orang. Banyaknya tamu (non-karyawan) yang datang ke PT. Epson Batam setiap harinya seperti kunjungan dari instansi pemerintah, partner perusahaan, vendor dan supplier, menyebabkan adanya kebutuhan terhadap aplikasi khusus yang dapat memudahkan perusahaan dalam mengelola data-data para tamu yang berkunjung ke perusahaan dan memudahkan pihak pengaman perusahaan dalam melakukan pencatatan dan rekap tamu yang berkunjung. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang sebuah sistem informasi pengelolaan pengunjung di masa pandemik Covid-19. Berdasarkan maklum balas dari pengguna disimpulkan bahwa sistem yang dibangunkan bisa digunakan dan berfungsi dengan baik tetapi perlu pengembangan yang memungkinkan sistem informasi terintegrasi dengan alat pengukur suhu. Visitor Management Information System during the Covid-19 Pandemic Abstract: PT. Epson Batam (PEB) is a multinational company with more than 3000 employees. The number of guests (non-employees) who come to PT. Epson Batam every day such as visits from government agencies, company partners, vendors and suppliers, causes the need for special applications that can make it easier for companies to manage the data of guests who visit the company and make it easier for company security to record and recap guests who visit the company. This study aims to design a visitor management information system during the Covid-19 pandemic. Based on the feedback from users, it is concluded that the system developed can be used and functions well but needs development that allows an integrated information system with temperature measuring devices.     Krisis global pasca merebaknya epidemi Covid-19 berdampak pada proses belajar mengajar (PdP). Masalah utama pdP selama epidemi Covid-19 adalah keterbatasan dalam melakukan kegiatan tatap muka di dalam kelas. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan bantuan pembelajaran agar PdP dapat berjalan optimal meskipun tidak ada interaksi tatap muka antara guru dan siswa. Penelitian ini menyoroti penerapan Augmented Reality untuk mendukung pembelajaran jarak jauh dalam situasi epidemi Covid-19, khususnya dalam topik seni ukiran kayu. Aplikasi selular AR Wood Carving Art menggunakan model desain ADDIE. Aplikasi seluler AR Wood Carving Art dievaluasi berdasarkan kegunaannya (ease of use). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, responden menyetujui bahwa aplikasi selular AR Wood Craving Art berguna dan aplikasi menghemat waktu ketika pengguna menggunakannya sehingga aplikasi selular AR Wood Craving Art efektif digunakan dalam pembelajaran yang membuat pengguna lebih produktif, kreatif, dan inovatif

    Dynamics surrounding the Implementation of the Primary Health Care Approach in Zimbabwe’s Rural Areas: The Case of Mt Darwin District

    This research studied the implementation of the Primary Health Care approach to health service delivery in Zimbabwe’s rural areas from 2009 to 2012. The approach was launched in response to the Alma-Alta Declaration in 1978 which sought to end the inequalities in health care provision around the globe and was first adopted and implemented in 1982 in Zimbabwe. The approach almost collapsed due to the economic meltdown in the past decade but the period 2009 to 2013 marked a new economic paradigm in Zimbabwe which saw the economy being dollarized which subsequently led to the revival and the resuscitation of the health sector. It is therefore to explore the progress and the dynamics surrounding the implementation of the PHC at Mt Darwin Hospital in light of the dollarized economy. The study explores the dynamics surrounding the implementation of PHC at Mt Darwin District Hospital by particular attention to the following key elements: promotion of nutrition, sanitation, maternal and child care, immunization, treatment of common diseases and provision of essential drugs. Qualitative techniques such as face to face interviews with key informants and documentary research were used to generate data. The research findings revealed that PHC is a powerful tool in delivering health services in Mt Darwin. However, lack of material, financial and human resources have hindered the proper implementation of the PHC approach in Mt Darwin district. The study recommends multi sectoral collaboration in solving health related issues
