This study assessed the mandatory mediation in civil cases in Olongapo City. It utilized the descriptive-survey research method with the questionnaire as the primary data-gathering tool. Sixty-six (66) respondents participated in the study. The study also used an unstandardized questionnaire validated by a panel of experts. To analyze the data, the researchers utilized the following statistical tools: frequency, percentage, weighted mean, and Pearson Chi-Square test. The study confirms that respondents are highly aware of mediation rules, proceedings, and mediators' code of ethical standards. Results also revealed significant relationships between the level of awareness of the respondents of the mandatory mediation of civil cases and age, the level of awareness of the code of ethical standards with the highest educational attainment, and length of service. In addition, the study also found significant relationships between the profile variables and the extent of implementation. Finally, there was a relationship between the level of awareness and the extent of implementation of the mandatory mediation of civil cases in terms of submitted and disposed cases. The study results served as the basis for developing a Proposed Enhancement Program in implementing Mandatory Mediation of Civil Cases in Olongapo City

Privacy and Customization of Clusters with Application Development

This paper presents a high level view of how clusters are being used in large number of domains for preserving and protecting the data. Because of these , clusters are being exposed to many attacks coming from open network.. Hence there are many methods to design a privacy preserving clusters. To ensure these preserving clusters, cluster validity measurements are done for different type of Data. Protocols are used to do the privacy preserving. The clusters analysis are used in banking sector for identification of the bank customer profile. Algorithms are used to find the Sensitive data before making the individual data into clusters of data .and then the privacy is applied only on these sensitive data

Exploring the English Language Skills Needed at Engineering Companies

This paper reports the results of an English language needs analysis carried out at different multinational engineering companies in Batam, Indonesia. Through the implementation of needs analysis questionnaire to 50 engineers from various engineering companies, the perceived importance and frequency of linguistic needs of learners in terms of skills and sub-skills are specified. The results show that most engineers perceived reading as the most important skill, followed by listening, writing, and speaking; whereas, in terms of frequency, reading has also been perceived as the most frequent skill, followed by listening, writing and speaking. Emphasis should be put on receptive skills (a total mean score of 16.048) rather than productive skills (a total mean score of 15.423). However, findings also depict those engineers considered some of the oral communicative event(s) such as reporting work to superiors to be very frequent at work. The implications of the findings indicate that materials design and development should consider the incorporation of workplace scenarios as the basis for activities

Clay and Clay Minerals: A Detailed Review

In this study, we focused on the presentation of clay minerals, their conditions of formation and their different categories. We also reported the importance of purification in removing impurities and the responses induced by heat treatment of these minerals. Techniques used to detect clay minerals are also exposed. On the other hand, the mineralogical, physicochemical and thermal properties have a direct impact on the field of use of these minerals. These properties differ from one mineral to another, depending on the structure and chemical composition. Moreover, the remarkable properties of smectites make these minerals the most preferred for the industry and also in the environmental field. Due to their brilliant firing properties, illites are suitable for the construction industry. Moreover, the purification by acids (acetic acid and HCl) allows the removal of most associated minerals, and thus a secure access to the clays' characteristics and a very strong sensitization even to the small variation. Finally, the ethylene glycol (EG) swelling test only affects the basal distance of smectites, increasing this distance to 17 Å, but heating to 500°C destroys kaolinite, and closes the basal distance of smectites and vermiculites to 10 Å. Illites and chlorites show no response to these two treatments (EG, heating to 500°C)

The study about the efficacy of yoga on second stage progress in third trimester pregnant. Labor is a journey process that will be experienced by pregnant women at the end of pregnancy after entering the age of 36 weeks under normal conditions. Labor will cause feelings of worry for a mother, but childbirth can be passed safely and comfortably without trauma. Prenatal yoga is considered as an alternative to non-conventional efforts to help pregnant women prepare physically, mentally and spiritually for the birth process. This study aims to determine the effect of prenatal yoga on the length of the second stage of labor at Mitra Sehat Mandiri Clinic. The study was conducted with an analytical design with a quasi-experimental primigravida method in the third trimester with a sample of 30 pregnant women who were divided into two groups, namely 15 maternity mothers who attended prenatal yoga and 15 who did not participate in prenatal yoga. Data analysis used independent t statistical test. The average length of the second stage of labor for women who took part in prenatal yoga was 21.66 with a standard deviation of 1.17, while those who did not do yoga were 42.76 with a standard deviation of 2.98. The conclusion is that there is an effect of third trimester yoga exercise on the length of the second stage of labor in mothers with P value = 0.000. Mothers who practice prenatal yoga before delivery will be better prepared to face labor, focus their thoughts and provide inner peace
