Flow Inundation Extents: Landcover +10% Roughness Scenario

    No full text
Polygon shapefiles that represent flow inundation extents. These extents are derived from water surface elevations from the HEC-RAS 5.0.7 2D hydrodynamic model (Brunner, 2016), and associated with flow stages (1.0 – 11.63m) at 0.25m interval (N=44). These flow stages were output from simulations coincident with the scenario that contains patches that are derived from locations of downed trees expanded by 2.0 m. At these patches, roughness is 10% higher than the roughness that is only associated with land cover, informed by the Ecological Mapping Systems of Texas (Elliott et al. 2014, url: https://tpwd.texas.gov/landwater/land/programs/landscape-ecology/ems/) and calibrated to WSEs found in flood insurance studies (FEMA, 2014), which found an error of 20cm. Only inundation extents that are associated with a depth above 20cm and are connected to the main channel are preserved. Brunner, G.W. (2016). University of Louisiana at Monroe's (ULM) Ichthyology Collection Database

In spring of 2017, administrators at the University of Louisiana at Monroe (ULM, historically NLU – Northeastern Louisiana University) made the decision to get rid of their natural history collections, including their large fish collection of 74,441 specimen jars that represents the life’s work of Dr. Neil Douglas, author of Fishes of Louisiana (1974), and other ULM biologists. Those specimens were divided and deposited in other regional collections including the University of Texas' Biodiversity Collections. The Microsoft Access files provided here, together, are their collection catalog and provided as they were received. The files document when and where the specimens were collected and who collected them

Computational Analysis of the Effect on Sonogashira Coupling by Copper (I) Mixed-Ligand Chelation of 4,7-Disubstituted-1,10-Phenanthrolines: Towards Improving Substitution Chemistry in 1, 10-Phenanthrolines

    No full text
When copper (I) is used to bind the nitrogen atoms of 1,10-phenanthroline through chelation, the reactivity at the 4 and 7 positions of the ligand is dramatically enhanced. Previous studies have demonstrated that yields can be increased through copper coordination from 5% to 90-95% for 4,7-substitution (distal side) of phenanthroline.1-3 DFT calculations have been performed on the pure 1,10-phenanthroline ligand, the ligand bound to copper with exogeneous coordinating groups, 4,7-dichloro-1,10-phenanthroline, and 4,7-dichloro-1,10-phenanthroline bound to copper in an attempt to determine the motivation for the profound change in substitution reactivity observed. In the case of the chloro-substituted ligand, chelation by copper (I) substantially reduces the heterolytic bond dissociation energy at the 4 and 7 positions, rendering the molecule susceptible to substitution. This is the computational code that was used, including the geometry units of the molecules

Maximum Entropy machine learning model output using digitized downed trees (structure) with six variables and regularization multiplier of 3.0

    No full text
This dataset (multiple outputs files in a compresssed folder) is output from a run of the Maxent ML Model (Phillips et.al., 2006, url: https://biodiversityinformatics.amnh.org/open_source/maxent/) using trees with structure (N=4283) and includes all environmental variables (vegetation community, inundation probability, and soil classification, elevation, generalized slope, euclidean distance from river) with a regularization multiplier (beta parameter) of 3.0. The value of 0p150 in the dataset file names refer to the fact that it uses digitized downed trees with structure. Phillips, S.J., Anderson, R.P., Schapire, R.E. (2006). Large-Scale Planar Graph Instances for Max-Cut Problem

    No full text
There are 225 large-scale planar graph instances for Max-Cut problems with Q matrix from 1000 by 1000 to 90000 by 90000. The instances are similar to G-set benchmark in the literature. There are three different types of weights on the instances. The MCxx_yy_D99_a.txt instance has 1 and -1 weight. The MCxx_yy_D99_b.txt instance has random value between -10 and 10. The MCxx_yy_D99_c.txt instance has random value between -1000 and 1000. For each instance, there is a text-file in the following format (rudy-output format): n m h_1 t_1 c_{h_1,t_1} h_2 t_2 c_{h_2,t_2} ... h_n t_n c_{h_n,t_n} where n is the number of nodes, m the number of edges and for each edge, h_i and t_i are the end-nodes and c_{h_i,t_i} the weight. Nodes are numbered from 1 up to n. All instances are generated as complete grap

    Accelerometer Data (Beiwe)

    No full text
Accelerometer data obtained by the Beiwe mobile app. For each participant who produced accelerometer data on their smartphone, a file is generated containing daily accelerometer magnitude features for each day during the study. Magnitude is defined by the square root of the sum of squared x, y, and z-axis acceleration values. The unit of acceleration is gravity, or 9.8 meters per squared second. Raw data is available upon request however extremely large. The features computed are: 1) acc.mag.mean/sd/min/max/rmssd: mean, standard deviation, minimum, maximum, and root mean square of the successive differences of the raw acceleration magnitude recorded during a 24-hour day; 2) acc.still: the proportion of raw magnitude values that are between 0.995 and 1.005, indicating a lack of movement (hence "still") of the smartphone; 3) acc.complete: the percentage of the day accelerometer data is produced; when this value is low (e.g. <0.2), the features computed are not representative of the whole day and should not be treated as reliable
