Topographic and bathymetric lidar, orthophotos, sonar, and GPR data of and along the Devils River from Juno to Lake Amistad, Texas (Pool Data 01 of 01)

    No full text
Data collected in and along the Devils River from Juno to Lake Amistad, Texas include: Topographic and bathymetric lidar data in both 1m raster (BIL) and point (LAS) formats; Orthophotos in geoTiff format; and an index map (SHP) depicting data extents. For an area of more detailed study--a pool two kilometers long from Finnegan Springs to Dolan Falls--we're providing Sonar and GPR point (LAS) data and a 1m composite (lidar + GPR) raster (BIL) dataset. 0README.txt provides additional information

—— Request from Bachiller Agustín de Mendiola, priest and chaplain, to the Corregidor Don Francisco de Ávila to obtain an authorized copy of the deed of the foundation of the chaplaincy founded by Baltasar de Mayorga, beneficed priest of Oaxaca, in 1608. The deed is included after the petition text, detailing the foundation, masses required in perpetuity, and the specific funds for the endowment. 5 f. (10 p.

Tailoring Rate- and Temperature-Dependent Fracture of Polyether Networks with Organoaluminum Catalysts

    No full text
Polyethers are ubiquitous in engineering and biomedical applications because their oxygen rich backbone allows them to interact with a variety of polar small molecules such as ions, gases, and pharmaceuticals. These materials are also able to sustain large reversible deformations when crosslinked at the molecular scale, leading to an interesting combination of functional and mechanical properties. We synthesized two families of polyether networks by organoaluminum catalyzed ring-opening copolymerization of ethyl glycidyl ether (EGE) monomer and 1,4-butanediol diglycidyl ether (BDGE) crosslinker, and explored the relationship between network architecture and fracture properties. The key result is that living copolymerizations, as enabled by a chelate of triethylaluminum with dimethylaminoethanol, afford access to a critical cross-link density, νx ≈ 3 x 1025 chains/m3, and loss tangent, tan() ≈ 0.09, at which fracture is dominated by chain scission rather than friction. Such control over the fracture resistance of polyether networks unveils the potential of living copolymerizations to design the functional and mechanical properties of soft materials
