Measurement Data - Phase noise of an electro-optical phase modulator based electro-optical comb
This data set comprises of phase noise measurement data of an electro-optical phase modulator based electro-optical comb. The phase noise was taken for several settings of the electro-optical comb. Further details can be found in the paper "Phase noise of an electro-optic terahertz comb". This work was supported by the European Research Council (ERC) Proof-of-Concept "PhoSTer-THz" under Grant 101057162, the collaborative research center SFB-TRR 196 "MARIE" funded by the German research foundation (project number 287022738) and by the federal ministry of education and research, Germany (BMBF) through "6GEM" (grant 16KISK039).Version 1.1 - date May, 2nd 202

Videos of the Numerical Simulation of Simultaneous and Non-Simultaneous Drop Impingement onto Smooth, Superheated Walls
Videos of the numerical simulation of simultaneous and non-simultaneous drop impingement onto smooth, superheated walls. The videos show the following cases: simultnaeous drop impingement with a spacing of 1.18, 2.15, 3.33, and infinity as well as non-simultaneous drop impingement with a spacing of 2.15 and a time interval of 4 ms, 15 ms, and 45 ms. Impact parameters such as initial drop diameter, impact velocity, and wall superheat are 0.93 mm, 0.53 m/s, and 7.3 K, respectively. Dimensionless numbers such as Reynolds, Weber, Bond, and Jakob numbers are 1775, 48.8, 0.4, and 0.09, respectively. In the case of non-simultaneous drop impingement, there are additionally cases for a spacing of 3.33 and a time interval of 2.8 ms with variations in wall superheat (7.3 K, 9.8 K, and 12.4 K) and contact angle modeling (CCA, constant contact angle model). The working fluid is perfluorohexane (FC-72) in a pure vapor atmosphere of the same fluid at ambient pressure. The simulations are carried out in OpenFOAM
Videos of the Numerical Simulation of Vertical Drop Coalescence on Smooth, Superheated Walls
Videos of the numerical simulation of vertical drop coalescence on smooth, superheated walls. The videos show the following cases: successive drop impingement with a time interval of 2.4 ms, 5 ms, 7.6 ms, 12 ms, 22 ms, 32 ms, 38 ms, and 50 ms as well as the single drop impingement with a double volume and drop train impingment with a time interval of 100 ms as well as drop trains with 1, 4, 16, and 2000 drops. Impact parameters such as initial drop diameter, impact velocity, and wall superheat are 1.14 mm, 0.54 m/s, and 9.8 K, respectively. Dimensionless numbers such as Reynolds, Weber, Bond, and Jakob numbers are 2230, 62.4, 0.6, and 0.13, respectively. The impact parameters and dimensionless numbers of the drop train impingement can vary because the total kinetic energy and flow rate are kept constant. The working fluid is perfluorohexane (FC-72) in a pure vapor atmosphere of the same fluid at ambient pressure. The simulations are carried out in OpenFOAM
