Kajian Alkitab tentang Konsumsi Minuman Beralkohol dalam Budaya Lokal dan Implikasi bagi Jemaat
This study aimed to evaluate the Biblical perspective on alcohol consumption and its implications for congregational development, focusing on the GKII Damai Tumbang Kaburai congregation in Central Kalimantan, which used the traditional alcoholic beverage Baram. Using a qualitative-descriptive method through Biblical review and interviews with local informants, the study found that the Bible gave clear warnings about the dangers of intoxicating alcohol, while also acknowledging the use of wine in cultural and health contexts when consumed with control and positive purpose. The findings emphasised that the congregation should prioritize God\u27s word above cultural traditions that could be harmful, provide a life example in accordance with Christian teachings, and develop healthier, safer cultural alternatives. This study was expected to serve as a foundation for more effective congregational guidance in addressing social and spiritual challenges related to alcohol consumption
Reinterpreting Religion in the Digital Age: Theology, Ethics, and Christian Education
The rapid advancement of digital technology has transformed how faith is practiced and how Christian Religious Education is delivered, necessitating a theological reinterpretation of religious formation in digital contexts. This study aims to develop a theoretical framework that integrates theology, ethics, digital literacy, and spirituality to guide Christian education in the digital era. Employing a qualitative literature review method, the study analyzes scholarly works on digital theology, education, and ethics to examine how digital environments shape faith formation, moral reasoning, and community engagement. The findings reveal that digital media functions not merely as a communication tool but as a formative environment influencing spiritual identity and ethical behavior. The proposed digital Christian Religious Education model emphasizes four interrelated dimensions: theology as the foundation of faith, ethics as responsible digital citizenship, digital literacy as critical engagement, and spirituality as holistic formation across physical and virtual spaces. This study contributes to global discourse by offering an integrative and contextual approach that empowers Christian educators to foster authentic spiritual growth and responsible digital discipleship in an increasingly networked world

This mission model has an impact on the growth of the church both quantitatively and qualitatively. Quantitatively, the number of congregations increased; Qualitatively, the congregation is increasingly active in church service through offerings, discipleship, social services, participation in church activities, and involvement in the management of BPJ
Makna Simbol Salib pada Kain Tenun Sekomandi: Suatu Studi Etnografi
The cross is the main symbol often used by Christians and is widely known by non-Christian communities. The cross is usually interpreted as a symbol of the sacrifice of the Lord Jesus to redeem humans from sins. Uniquely, this symbol appears in the traditional cloth of the Kalumpang tribe. This research aims to explore the meaning of these symbols on the Sekomandi woven cloth typical of the Kalumpang people. The method used is a qualitative method with an ethnographic approach. Researchers observed the location, conducted in-depth interviews with several traditional and religious leaders there. The findings obtained are that the meaning of the cross for the people of Kalumpang symbolizes group identity and appreciation for the servants of God who have served in their village. The values raised are sacrifice, appreciation and hope for the prosperity of the village in the future. So, the cross is interpreted more sociologically, historically and economically than Christologically

Peter\u27s Motive for Quoting Proverbs 11:31 as an Encouragement to Be Righteous
Proverbs 11:31 is an Old Testament passage of wisdom quoted by Peter in 1 Peter 4:18. Based on the literature search, there are two interpretations related to this intertextual use of Scripture, namely talking about retribution or divine justice and moral responsibility. But it was found that previous studies did not mention anything about Peter\u27s motive in quoting this wisdom literature narrative. Therefore, this study aims to specifically examine Peter\u27s motives in quoting this Old Testament passage. There are strong implications of the Wisdom literature exhortations quoted by Peter as an encouragement to the early church to choose to live as righteous people. Therefore, this research used qualitative methods with a sub-interpretive design, specifically wisdom literature hermeneutics and literature study. This article finds that Peter\u27s motivation for encouraging the believers was that they should never envy the oppressors and persecutors because those who reject the gospel will suffer more than anything Christians have to face in this life. God is just, and His judgment will apply to everyone, including the wicked. Peter\u27s motive for quoting the Old Testament also serves as a theological and practical guide for believers, enabling them to live in a way that reflects their faith and trust in God\u27s final judgment and deliverance

Mentoring of Hispanic Persons in Theological Education: Reflections on Distinctive Elements
Hispanic scholars are increasingly gaining seats at the table of theological education in the United States, yet many remain marginalised under it, seeking food and opportunities for advancement in academic institutions. This study examines the distinctive elements of mentoring Hispanics in theological education, exploring how cultural features and biblical foundations inform effective mentoring relationships within these communities. This research was conducted in the context of North American theological educational institutions, with particular attention to the emergence of Hispanic theological scholars and organisations such as AETH (Asociación para la Educación Teológica Hispana) and La Comunidad of Hispanic American Scholars of Religion. This research synthesises insights from educational theory, theological studies, and cultural analysis to develop a framework for understanding mentoring in Hispanic theological education. The investigation revealed eight distinctive cultural traits among Hispanics that inform mentoring relationships: passion, personalism, soul paradoxes, community, spiritual journey, musical elan, fiesta, and family. The study identifies parallels between traditional mentoring and the Hispanic concept of padrino/a (baptist parenting), showing how cultural understanding improves the effectiveness of mentoring. This study establishes that effective mentoring develops through four stages: idealisation, disappointment, differentiation, and partnership
Mewujudkan Iman Dalam Dunia Kerja Dan Keluarga
