Performance Evaluation for Ad hoc Routing Protocol in Vehicular Ad hoc Network (VANET)

In this paper we researched about different ad hoc routing protocols for VANET. The main aim of our study was to identify which ad hoc routing technique has better execution in highly mobile environment of VANET. To measure the performance of routing protocols in VANET, we considered two different situations i.e. city and highway. Routing protocols were selected carefully after carrying out literature review. The selected protocols were then evaluated through simulation in terms of performance metrics i.e. throughput and packet drop. From results, we observe that A-STAR shows better performance in form of high throughput and low packet drop as compare to AODV and GPSR in city environment, while GPSR shows better performance as compare to AODV in both highway and city environment of VANET

E-Marketing and its Influence in the Delivery of Services at Guaranty Trust Bank (GT Bank Cape Coast)

This paper specifically looks at how electronic marketing is affecting and contributing to the service delivery in Guaranty Trust Bank (GT Bank Cape Coast Branch). The study uses questionnaires to investigate the level of influence the internet has on consumers in their choice and decision-making on financial service and also to determine the amount of expenditure GT bank spend annually on the use of electronic marketing. In terms of GT Cash Machine (ATM), clients were satisfied about, how the machine works, always is on good condition and perfectly working. From the statistics it can be seen that 90% of the clients approved of their service through the ATM machine. Overall, the management of GT bank should increase its activities on the internet and more sensitisation should be given to clients about its operation on the internet, so that clients will patronize its electronic services

The State-of-the-art Machine Learning In Prediction Covid-19 Fatality Cases

Day by day the number of confirmed Covid-19 cases signif- icantly increases all over the world In India the second wave of coro- navirus has come back and created a disastrous impact On April 3rd India continuously recorded the highest number of daily cases globally according to Financial Times there was a scarcity of crematoriums and burial grounds due to the high number of corpses The outbreak of death cases was an unprecedented circumstance hence there was a shortage of medical necessities Prediction of death cases could help the govern- ment to manage the medical facilities such as beds and oxygen supply for the hospita

An Efficient Black-hole and Worm-hole Attacks Resilient Scheme for Cloud and Fog-Assisted Internet of Vehicles

The Internet of Vehicles IoV is a distributed network that supports the use of data created by connected cars and vehicular ad-hoc networks VANETs for real-time communication among the vehicles and other infrastructures in the network Although IoV increases safety and efficient information exchange in transportation its inter-connectivity exposes the vehicles and the people to different cyber-attacks such as black-hole and worm-hole which are capable of disrupting the network In this paper we identify the black-hole and worm-hole attacks as the major security threats to the IoV technology We then propose periodic-time slicing and trust factor approaches to detect and prevent a black-hole attack and a cryptography procedure to prevent other IoV related cyber-attack

Artificial Intelligence Approach to Cyber Security

Cyber security is a major concern of developed and developing countries due to the high rate of attack and threat to the cyber space The aim of this research work was to develop a fuzzy logic system for cyber security Four inputs were used and three outputs was produced with their associated linguistic variables Triangular angular membership function was used to implement the system Fuzzy controller has an advantage of performing according to linguistic rules in the manner of how a human behaves The reasoning method in the fuzzy controller is also similar to that of the cyber expert handl

Group Pursuit on a Plane with Modeling Detection Area

This article describes the pursuit model by the method of chasing a group of objects All objects participating in the pursuit model move at a constant modulo velocity The pursuing object moves along a certain trajectory and releases objects at specified intervals whose task is to overtake the target by the chase method A single target in turn is tasked to overtake the pursuer by the method of parallel convergence A detection area is formed for each pursuing object The detection area is formed by two beams The velocity vector of an object is the bisector of the angle formed by such rays If the target is in the detection area then the object begins the pursuit by the chase method If the target leaves the detection area then the object makes a uniform and rectilinear movemen

Deep CNN Model for Non-Screen Content and Screen Content Image Quality Assessment

In the current world, user experience in various platforms matters a lot for different organizations. But providing a better experience can be challenging if the multimedia content on online platforms is having different kinds of distortions which impact the overall experience of the user. There can be various reasons behind distortions such as compression or minimal lighting condition while taking photos. In this work, a deep CNN-based Non-Screen Content and Screen Content NR-IQA framework is proposed which solves this issue in a more effective way. The framework is known as DNSSCIQ. Two different architectures are proposed based upon the input image type whether the input is a screen content or non-screen content image. This work attempts to solve this by evaluating the quality of such image

Steam Package Boiler Expert System for Control and Maintenance of Fertilizer Plants using Rule-Base Fuzzy Logic

Generally, expert systems have been found very useful and even in fertilizer plants it has been deployed in handling operations in critical sections, such as material handling systems, online detection systems, granulation, air compressor among others. This paper presents research work for steam package boiler expert system for control and maintenance of fertilizer plants using rule-base fuzzy logic hybrid system, which has not been benefited much from expert system. The system handles cause of boiler failures in terms of controlling and maintaining the functional chemical components of the boiler drum and feed water parameters. validation on the system consistency, correctness, and its precision with six (6) steam package boiler parameters test value cases was conducted involving fourteen (14) fertilizer plant boiler domain partitioners. The boiler drum and feed water qualities with less or higher test value worst-cases validates the boiler system, showing each of the parameters bar turns red, as displayed on the boilers panel, while on test value best-cases, validates the system, displaying green on the boilers panel bar as users entered the right value of parameters as design specification. The expert system prevents damaged and malfunctioning as control the alkalinity, prevent scaling, both mechanica

Clinical Dengue Data Analysis and Prediction using Multiple Classifiers: An Ensemble Techniques

The dengue infection is caused by the mosquito Aedes aegypti According to WHO 50 to 100 million dengue infections will occur every year Data-miming techniques will extract information from the raw data Dengue symptoms are fever severe headache body pain vomiting diarrhea cough pain in abdomen etc The research work is carried out on real data and the patient data is collected from the Department of General Medicine PESIMSR Kuppam Andrapradesh Dataset consists of 18 attributes and one target value Research work has been done on binary classification to classify dengue positive DF and dengue negative NDF cases using different ML techniques The proposed work demonstrates that ensemble techniques bagging boosting and stacking gives better results than other models The Extreme Gradient Boost XGB Random Forest by majority voting and stacking with different meta classifiers are the ensemble techniques used for the binary classification The dataset is divided into 80 training and 20 testing dataset Performance parameters used for the analysis are accuracy precision recall and f1 score and compared the proposed model with other ML models The experimental results shows that the accuracy of extended boost random forest and stacking is 98 99 99 for training dataset and 97 94 98 testing dataset respectively The extended metrics ROC Precision -Recall curve and AUC better analysi
