Evaluation of Ant Colony Optimization Algorithm Compared to Genetic Algorithm, Dynamic Programming and Branch and Bound Algorithm Regarding Travelling Salesman Problem

    Get PDF
We use ant colony optimization (ACO) algorithm for solving combinatorial optimization problems such as the traveling salesman problem. Some applications of ACO are: vehicle routing, sequential ordering, graph coloring, routing in communications networks, etc. In this paper, we compare the performance of ACO to that of a few other state-of-the-art algorithms currently in use and thus measure the effectiveness of ACO as one of the major optimization algorithms in regard with a few more algorithms. The performance of the algorithms is measured by observing their capacity to solve a traveling salesman problem (TSP). This paper will help to find the proper algorithm to be used for routing problems in different real-life situations

Beyond Google2019;s PageRank: Complex Number-based Calculations for Node Ranking

    No full text
This study is focused on a proposed alternative algorithm for Google's PageRank, named Hermitian centrality score, which employs complex numbers for scoring a node of the network to overcome the issues of PageRank2019;s link analysis. This study presents the Hermitian centrality score as a solution for the problems of PageRank, which are associated with the damping factor of Google2019;s algorithm. The algorithm for Hermitian centrality score is designed to be free from a damping factor, and it reproduces PageRank results well. Moreover, the proposed algorithm can mathematically and systematically change the point of a node of a network

Implementation of Back Propagation Neural Network with PCA for Face Recognition

    Get PDF
Face recognition is truly one of the demanding fields of biometric image processing system Within this paper we have implemented Back Propagation Neural Network for face recognition using MATLAB where feature extraction and face identification system completely depend on Principal Component Analysis PCA Face images are multidimensional and variable data Hence we cannot directly apply Back Propagation Neural Network to classify face without extracting the core area of face So the dimensionality of face image is reduced by the Principal Component Analysis algorithm then we have to explore unique feature for all stored database images called eigenfaces of eigenvectors These unique features or eigenvectors are given as parallel input to the Back Propagation Neural Network BPNN for recognition of given test images Here test image is taken from the integrated webcam which is applied to the BPNN trained network The maximum output of the tested network gives the index of recognized face image BPNN employing PCA is more robust and reliable than PCA based face recognition syste

Implementasi Internet of Things Pada Sistem Kendali Lampu Rumah Menggunakan Telegram Messenger Bot Dan Nodemcu Esp 8266

The house light control system is still mostly manual and the homeowner sometimes tends to forget to turn off the lights when leaving the house, so the owner of the house must return to turn off the lights or leave the lights on until the homeowner returns. The use of NodeMCU ESP8266 is currently favored by internet of things based developers, because the price of the module is quite cheap and can be programmed using the Arduino IDE allowing NodeMCU to be the preferred choice. This study uses Telegram Messenger Bot as a message sender and message recipient to control home lights, using NodeMCU as a Relay controller to turn off and turn on the home lights when they are or not at home

SDN-Based Approach to Evaluate the Best Controller: Internal Controller NOX and External Controllers POX, ONOS, RYU

    Get PDF
Software Defined Networking (SDN) is a rising technique to deal with replace patrimony network (coupled hardware and software program) control and administration by separating the control plane (software program) from the information plane (hardware). It gives adaptability to the engineers by influencing the focal control to plane straightforwardly programmable. Some new difficulties, for example, single purpose of disappointment, may be experienced because of the original control plane. SDN concentrated on flexibility where the security of the system was not essentially considered. It promises to give a potential method to present Quality of Service (QoS) ideas in the present correspondence networks. SDN automatically changes the behavior and functionality of system devices utilizing a single state program. Its immediate OpenFlow is planned by these properties. The affirmation of Quality of Service (QoS) thoughts winds up possible in a versatile and dynamic path with SDN. It gives a couple of favorable circumstances including, organization and framework versatility, improved exercises and tip-top performances. This research work will concentrate on the Quality of Service (QoS) like delay, response time, throughput, and other execution assessing parameters of our proposed arrange design using internal controller, e.g., Network Operating System (NOX) and external controller, e.g., Pythonic Network Operating System (POX), Open Network Operating System (ONOS) and RYU. Regardless of the way that thoughts of QoS, they did not comprehend the correspondence systems with high utilization, diverse quality and acknowledgment costs. It will focus on the outside controller and inner controller execution in the proposed architecture. These perceptions of switch diversity may give SDN application engineer's bits of knowledge while acknowledging QoS ideas in an SDN-based system

Membrane Computing Aggregation: An Updated Framework of Transition P-systems

    No full text
MCA (Membrane computing aggregation is experimental computational frame. It is inspired by the inner properties of membrane cells (Bio-inspired system). It is capable of problem solving activities by maintaining a special, "meaningful" relationship with the internal/external environment, integrating its self-reproduction processes within the information flow of incoming and outgoing signals. Because these problem solving capabilities, MCA admits a crucial evolutionary tuning by mutations and recombination of theoretical genetic "bridges in a so called 201C;aggregation201D; process ruled by a hierarchical factor that enclosed those capabilities. Throughout the epigenetic capabilities and the cytoskeleton and cell adhesion functionalities, MCA model gain a complex population dynamics specifics and high scalability. Along its developmental process, it can differentiate into meaningful computational tissues and organs that respond to the conditions of the environment and therefore "solve" the morphogenetic/configurational problem. MCA, above all, represents the potential for a new computational paradigm inspired in the higher level processes of membrane cells, endowed with quasi universal processing capabilities beyond the possibilities of cellular automata of and agent processing models

Protein and Other Biomedical Entity Name Tagging from Pdf File using NLP and Visualization of that Entity

    No full text
Protein and other biomedical entities such as a gene, chromosome names are key elements in bioinformatics. Identifying them individually from the pdf file is very challenging. Because a text pdf document can contain lots of information, identifying them is not so much easy task. So the main focus in our project is converting the pdf file to humanreadable text file then we will have to find the gene and other entities from the GENIA tagger website database. Using natural language processing GENIA tagger will give us the name of all the protein, gene, and other biomedical entity name. After identifying them, we will save it to database. Then we will visualize the related data

Factor Analysis-based Investigation into Financial Crime Related Issues in Nigeria

    Get PDF
This paper proposes sixteen indices that were considered very important for the analysis of financial crime related issues in Nigeria. The indices were listed in the questionnaire that was administered on the FCT and thirty out of thirty-six states that span the six geo-political zones of Nigeria to obtain relevant data. Copies of the questionnaire were administered during meetings with stakeholders of banks, insurance companies, educational institutions and other relevant government and private owned establishments. The data obtained were subjected to factor analysis by principal component using SPSS. The analysis identified policies and regulations, responses and management, capacity building and awareness and litigation as the major issues to be addressed if financial crimes are to be checked. The percentage of the contributory effect of these issues and the degree of relevance of their associated indices were determined and found to be less than 100, indicating that the indices of some extraneous issues were not considered in the research instrument. Such issues include but not limited to economic status and cultural and societal impacts. Moreover, a coefficient score matrix was generated and used to estimate and rank the contribution of each respondent to the extracted issues
