Security Investigation on Remote Access Methods of Virtual Private Network
Remote access is one of the prevalent business trends in today2019;s computing pervasive business environments. The ease of access to internal private networks over the internet by telecommuter devices has given birth too many security threats to the endpoint devices. The application client software and data at rest on the endpoint of remote access methods such as: Tunneling, Portal, Desktop Applications and Direct Access do not offer protection for the communication between the VPN gateway and internal resources. This paper, therefore investigate the security pitfalls of remote access for establishing virtual private network methods. To address these challenges, a remote access method to secure endpoint communication is proposed. The study adopted investigative research design by use of empirical review on the security aspect of the current state VPN Remote Access methods. This necessitates the review of the research article on the current state and related works which leads to critiques and offer proposed solution to remote access endpoint VPN. The scope of this study is limited to secure virtual private network endpoint data communication. In this paper, an investigation of these access technologies given
Dheergayu: Clinical Depression Monitoring Assistant
Depression is identified as one of the most common mental health disorders in the world. Depression not only impacts the patient but also their families and relatives. If not properly treated, due to these reasons it leads people to hazardous situations. Nonetheless existing clinical diagnosis tools for monitoring illness trajectory are inadequate. Traditionally, psychiatrists use one to one interaction assessments to diagnose depression levels. However, these cliniccentered services can pose several operational challenges. In order to monitor clinical depressive disorders, patients are required to travel regularly to a clinical center within its limited operating hours. These procedures are highly resource intensive because they require skilled clinician and laboratories. To address these issues, we propose a personal and ubiquitous sensing technologies, such as fitness trackers and smartphones, which can monitor human vitals in an unobtrusive manner
Anomaly Intrusion Detection based on Concept Drift
Nowadays, security on the internet is a vital issue and therefore, intrusion detection is one of the major research problems for networks that defend external attacks. Intrusion detection is a new approach for providing security in existing computers and data networks. An Intrusion Detection System is a software application that monitors the system for malicious activities and unauthorized access to the system. An easy accessibility condition causes computer networks vulnerable against the attack and several threats from attackers. Intrusion Detection System is used to analyze a network of interconnected systems for avoiding uncommon intrusion or chaos. The intrusion detection problem is becoming a challenging task due to the increase in computer networks since the increased connectivity of computer systems gives access to all and makes it easier for hackers to avoid their traces and identification. The goal of intrusion detection is to identify unauthorized use, misuse and abuse of computer systems. This project focuses on algorithms: (i) Concept Drift based ensemble Incremental Learning approach for anomaly intrusion detection, and (ii) Diversity and Transfer-based Ensemble Learning. These are highly ranked anomaly detection models. We study and compare both learning models. The Network Security Laboratory-Knowledge Discovery and Data Mining (NSL-KDD99) dataset have been used for training and to detect the misuse activities
Trust-Based Security Technique to Curb Cooperative Black Hole Attacks in Mobile Ad Hoc Networks using OTB-DSR Protocol in NS-3
The advent of mobile technology led to the emergence of Mobile Ad-hoc networks (MANETs). These networks have no infrastructure and central authority. Nodes in MANETs act as both routers and hosts. MANET nodes join and leave the network at will making the network topology dynamic. MANETs are prone to both passive and active security attacks. Blackhole is a denial of service attack under active attacks. Blackhole nodes work in collaboration forming cooperative black hole attacks. The attacks drop or redirecting data packets on transit. Cooperative blackhole attacks are dangerous in operations where communication is critica
Designing and Valuating System on Dependability Analysis of Cluster-Based Multiprocessor System
Analysis of dependability is a significant stage in structuring and examining the safety of protection systems and computer systems. The introduction of virtual machines and multiprocessors leads to increasing the faults of the system, particularly for the failures that are software- induced, affecting the overall dependability. Also, it is different for the successful operation of the safety system at any dynamic stage, since there is a tremendous distinction in the rate of failure among the failures that are induced by the software and the hardware. Thus this paper presents a review or different dependability analysis techniques employed in multiprocessor system
Design Complexity for Objective Function Points
This paper investigates correlating the basic elements of Unified Modeling Language and Cyclomatic Complexity with Function Point Analysis (FPA) principles to develop an automated software functional sizing tool. This concept has been difficult to achieve due to the logical nature of the FPA sizing methodology versus the physical nature of source lines of code (SLOC). In this approach, we examine software complexity from design and maintainability perspectives in order to understand relationships in physical code. Our hypothesis is that this method will 201C;simulate201D; FPA principles and produce an objective sizing method. This would provide the foundation for an automated tool that scans physical software code to derive 201C;Objective Function Points201D; (OFPs) functional size measur
Fuzzy Conditional Inference and Application to Wireless Sensor Network
Zadeh, Mamdani, and TSK were proposed different fuzzy conditional inference for 201C;if 2026; then 2026; 201C;to approximate incomplete information. The Zadeh and Mamdani fuzzy conditional inferences require prior information for the consequent part. The TSK fuzzy conditional inference need not to know prior information for the consequent part, but it is difficult to compute. In this paper, new method is proposed for the position containing 201C;if 2026; then 2026;201D; when prior information is not know the consequent part. Fuzzy Wireless Sensor Networks are discussed an application for proposed fuzzy conditional inference. Fuzzy inference system (FIS) is also discussed for WSN to detect Coastal erosion and Turbo Charger fuzzy controls System an examples
Russian Local Trends in Software Development 2013; Expectations and Reality. Resume of Studies in 2017-2019
Regulators of the Russian software market over the past 8 years have a significant impact on the market: from the serious requirements about the protection of personal data in information systems to the policy and state corporate2019;s programs of import substitution. This article contains a part of the results of two author2019;s researches (2017, 2019) that covered about 150 experienced engineers and managers in all federal districts of Russia. The expert2019;s panel reviewed the change in costs and efforts in software development projects connected with stricter requirements for collecting and storing personal data, preventing of data leaks, evaluated import substitution of system and application software and determined the possibilities of using technologies, based on open-source code. The results of the both studies are accompanied by analysis of dynamic of last few years and the brief recommendations of the author

The Internet as a Reliable Source of Sexual and Reproductive Health Information among Rural School-Aged Children in Oaxaca, Mexico
Background: Correct and culturally relevant sexual and reproductive health knowledge among children and adolescents is a key component to a healthy life. In Mexico, a country plagued with a teen pregnancy epidemic, sexuality education in the public-school system begins in 4th grade. Our study aims were to characterize the sexual and reproductive health knowledge of middle school students from Oaxaca, and its association with belonging to an indigenous group, gender, sources of sexual and reproductive health information, and parents2019; level of schooling. Methods: Cross-sectional study. Students responded to a multiple-choice paper and pencil selfadministered survey on sexual and reproductive health knowledge. Our sample included 245 middleschool students (51.4% were female) enrolled in rural school2019;s 7th, 8th, and 9th grade. Survey contents were based on the Ministry of Education textbooks
