Preparation of data for visualization using SQL Server 2008
Analysis of a huge amounts of data that flow into databases, successfully dealt with methods of data visualization that graphical representations of data and information provide better awareness of the management and making better decisions. Information describes things that are sometimes abstracting in schematic format that includes analysis of attributes and variables such units of information.\ud
The purpose of this paper is to study the practical concepts and algorithms for preparing the data for visualization and creating visual representations of large amounts of data. In this paper will be given attention to the way in which data is transformed from the original format into a format suitable for their further processing using algorithms
Using Dashboards as tools to improve the process of decision making in heathcare
Dashboards today are the preffered tool for managers in the process of managment of companies. They use comparative tables to improve the process of decision making. The graphical presentation and visualization of data allows quick and effecient viewing of changes, recognition of important information and sometimes viewing the „invisible“ in the data.\ud
The aim of this paper is to examine the need for using visual systems in the management process, which will lead to better decision making in Public Healthcare Institutions in the Republic of Macedonia. The aim is to achieve critical decisions to be supported by information received from a dashboard-the visual systems that follows the plan and its execution
UWB and mmWave Communication Techniques and Systems for Healthcare
Telemedicine has been around for decades, and some apparatuses are currently in operation in few hospitals. Relying on advanced wireless technologies, which enable the use of pervasive communications for a variety of different applications, new-generation systems for healthcare become non-invasive, broadband and mobile. High-data rate wireless systems allow users to share huge amounts of data and multimedia content with other users or with service providers. Consequently, the range of potential applications of healthcare assistance expands to include new scenarios that involve very high data rate wireless transmissions like, for instance, seamless exchange of multimedia content. In this chapter, a survey of new-generation wireless communication techniques and systems based on ultra-wideband technology and millimetre-waves radios is provided, with reference to the modern concepts of patient-centric and hospital-centric application scenarios. The opportunities offered by these two broadband wireless communications technologies beyond basic data transfer are highlighted and discussed in the framework of the new application scenarios that these technologies open
DINAMICS OF THE TEAM WORK IN THE SMALL AND MEDIUM ENTERPRISES AS FUNCTIONAL BASIS OF THEIR PERMANENT DEVELOPMENT
The teams represent a bridge between the individual inventiveness and the\ud
collective creativity. The synergy is partnership among the participants who share a\ud
common goal that can be achieved only by joint action of all actors.\ud
Each system must learn in order to survive, to develop and to adapt to the new\ud
challenges that are permanently coming. The management of changes arises as a necessity,\ud
because it gives direction, reduces the impact of the change, minimizes the losses, sets\ud
standards for improvement of the organizational goals, and enables coordination of the\ud
effort.\ud
Of course, the intensification of the teamwork, perhaps at most, contributes to the\ud
revitalization of those parts of the organization that necessarily require change. The\ud
teamwork represents a solid basis for shift and achieving effective and efficient change.\ud
Therefore, the businesses in the Republic of Macedonia should learn to think and work\ud
creatively, not at the level of individuals, but at the level of teams and at the whole\ud
organization.\ud
The paper represents an intersection of the scanned situation in terms of the type,\ud
nature, functionality of teamwork among a number of businesses from the SME sector in\ud
the Republic of Macedonia, compared with the results for the same variables obtained in\ud
public sector organizations operating in their environment.\ud
The research hypothesis is simple and says: “The exposure to changes in the private\ud
enterprises generates increased need for productive team work which is different in scope,\ud
nature and content from the team work in the public sector”.\ud
Key words: development, small and medium enterprises, team work
Need for learning management systems in higher education in subject that involve programming languages
Subjects that are teaching programming languages may contain different approaches\ud
to learning, depending on the level of preparedness of students and the methodology used by\ud
the teaching staff in the lectures and exercises. Because of the need for practical work in\ud
programming, the introduction of e-learning support system for students can be as useful as it\ud
is for them and for teachers. Attaching the materials to a local system (intranet) and the\ud
possibility of accessing them and the program codes of classes, lessons and ancillary\ud
materials for exercises can bring increased efficiency and increased degree of control of the\ud
organization and behavior of students in class.\ud
With the ability to simultaneous usage of necessary materials from the system,\ud
explanations of the professor and the opportunity for practical work, students very quickly\ud
can recognize the effects of learning and become more motivated for learning more content\ud
during class. The professor, who had previously set the material to the system has a feedback\ud
of student achievements in class, the problems that occurred and the way they were solved,\ud
and the time they spent to solve the problem. Students themselves have the opportunity to see\ud
whether they learned and can evaluate their knowledge through questions that are posed at\ud
the end the lesson

FUNCTIONAL COST ANALYSE BASED ON VIRTUAL PROTOTYPING MODELS IN CAD/CAE ENVIRONMENT
New developed approach for Functional Cost Analysis (FCA) based on virtual prototyping (VP) models in CAD/CAE environment, applicable and necessary in developing new products is presented. It is instrument for improving the value of the product while maintaining costs and/or reduce the costs of the product without reducing value. Five broad classes of VP methods are identified. Efficient use of prototypes in FCA is a vital activity that can make the difference between successful and unsuccessful entry of new products into the competitive word market. Successful realization of this approach is illustrated for a specific example using press joint power tool
Usage of Data Warehouse for Data Preparation for the Needs of the State Statistical Office of the Republic of Macedonia and How Was Transparent Data Dissemination Achieved?
The State Statistical Office (SSO) is an institution which is in charge of collecting, processing and analyzing data concerning relevant entities in the Republic of Macedonia, as well as, data dissemination in adequate modes for gaining transparent insight.\ud
\ud
The main objective of the paper will be:\ud
• Detection of the necessary organizational changes for implementation of Data Warehouse (DW), organizational culture, collection modes, transformation and utilization of data to obtain the required transparent data for public usage;\ud
\ud
As the main objective of the paper is rather complex, the following research questions should be looked into with considerable deliberation:\ud
• What organizational changes have been introduced in the SBS to achieve successful implementation of DW? \ud
• What kind of organizational culture is needed to implement such a complex project; how was it achieved; what barriers had to be overcome?\ud
• What were the expected benefits of the project implementation?\ud
• What are the sources of DW of the SBS, the formats and the coded systems in which they were prepared and how is the preparation for filling DW carried out?\ud
• To what extent are these processes automatic?\ud
• In what way has the business logic applied in data processing and preparation for obtaining sector aggregated data been defined?\ud
\ud
In order to find the answers to the abovementioned questions, a detailed analysis of the organizational, financial and other requirements concerning the introduction of such a complex data structure called data warehouses , as well as the sources of data and the mechanisms needed for their filling are needed. The support needed in this process both of organizational and technical nature is a topic of interest as well.\ud
\ud
The methods used in the research imply usage of:\ud
• Interview with the employees in the management structures and the IT sector aimed at detecting information for implementation in the data warehouses;\ud
• Analytical method for researching sources of data in the SSO and their attributes, used formats and coded systems, mechanisms for collection, filling, cleansing, transformation and preparation of data for further usage;\ud
• Analysis of business processes and software tools used as a part of the overall process of preparation and analysis of ready-made data which are subject of dissemination by the SSO and their quality;\ud
\ud
Results and conclusions of the research:\ud
• Implementation of data warehouses is a complex process which is profoundly concerned with the organizational culture and it requires core organizational changes;\ud
• Successful implementation requires unconditional support on the part of top management, i.e. strict sponsorship;\ud
• The benefits of the implementation come after the implementation and the filling of DW and they depend on the extent to which DW architecture has been successfully set
