Software Learning System Based on Invariants in Computer Programming
Full text linkThe paper considers the idea about invariant teaching and learning of computer programming, independent of concrete programming language and version. Software system, built on the base of template algorithms (called invariants), is presented. 98 invariants are proposed for the course “Programming” from the bachelor degree programs at Plovdiv University, Bulgaria, and 44 invariants – for the course “Algorithms and Data Structures”. The proposed invariants are made till now with template codes on two programming languages (С# and Visual Basic) with more than 170 realizations in one language. The invariants are classified in 13 groups on the base of kinds of basic assignments (algorithms), which are solved during learning computer programming. The invariants have parameters of 5 types – variable, data type, random invariant, invariant from given list and invariant from given kind. Several levels of difficulty for solving of assignments are proposed. The system can be used as main learning resource in self-learning during resource in traditional learning

New model of Electronic Health Record: Macedonian case study
Full text linkElectronic Health Record (EHR) systems are core applications in any e-Health environment and represent basic services for healthcare information technology platforms. Many EHR introduction projects ran into trouble because of the inappropriate model and concept of implementation, according to the requirements and standards, as well as the lack of the acceptance of the EHR related services among physicians. The aim of this paper is to give a brief overview of the current situation of citizens’ healthcare data and need for the nationwide EHR with focus on R. Macedonia. We are making an analysis of the best practices of EHR's implementation and introduction in many countries in the world. We use these positive and useful experiences in the Macedonian case of EHR's introduction and propose a new collaborative model of EHR for healthcare organizations, adapted to the situation and needs of the Macedonian healthcare information system
Example of IoT platform usage for wireless video surveillance with support of NoSQL and cloud systems
Full text linkToday there is an increasing need for implementation of area security systems, especially in sense of monitoring areas of interest. Many of the solutions related to wireless security cameras that are available on the market are mainly limited with their predefined functionalities. Furthermore, these sets of functionalities largely affect price levels. Thanks to an increasing development and availability of open-source hardware and DIY (Do It Youself) electronics applicable in the field of Internet of Things (IoT), as well as new methods in data storage, such as NoSQL, new opportunities for creation of custom systems for video monitoring and storing video data are opened. Through this work it is presented the solution for wireless security cameras, based on the IoT enabled open-source hardware and MongoDB database as the storage system. Also, in order to achieve replication of created content, possibilities of storing this content on the cloud storage system are explored. Established solution can be used on a\ud
daily basis, both in the private and business environments. Also, in this paper are presented technologies used for system development. Full text linkScrum is the result of evolution in product development originating from the Japanese management system and process improvement (kaizen) and the Toyota production system from middle of the 20th century. However, Scrum is not the end result but a constant evolution. The purpose of this paper is an attempt to add new knowledge to this evolution. There are numerous alternatives to Scrum process and rules, commonly called hybrids. It is important to be aware that one approach or process cannot be a solution for every software development project. Implementation of embedded assistive device for disabled people
