Career development support deals with the progress of the professional part of our lives. Every career is accompanied by decision situations, opportunities seized or missed, to which we respond according to our increasing or decreasing security level and the resources available. Both the theory and the daily practice of career counselling and guidance are constantly working with the concept of decision, which it puts into a life-course perspective. Thus, every decision has a past, a present, and a projected future temporal dimension. In Europe, the training and further training of career guidance counsellors is based on an interdisciplinary approach. At the same time, the way each discipline views decision-making and the issues it raises differ, while the results of each discipline have an impact on the other. In this article, I explore three concepts: a) decision, b) the life course, and c) the decision-related issues of each discipline. The literature on decision theory is now vast, and this article does not, of course, undertake a comprehensive treatment of the subject. A pályatanácsadás és pályaorientáció elmélete és mindennapi gyakorlata is folyamatosan a döntés fogalmával dolgozik, amelyet életpálya perspektívába helyez. Így minden döntésnek van egy múltbeli, egy jelenbeli és egy előrevetített jövőbeli időbeli dimenziója. Európában a pályaorientációs tanácsadók képzése és továbbképzése interdiszciplináris megközelítésen alapul. Ugyanakkor az egyes diszciplínák eltérő módon tekintenek a döntéshozatalra és az általa felvetett kérdésekre, miközben az egyes diszciplínák eredményei hatással vannak a másikra. Ebben a cikkben három fogalmat vizsgálok: a) a döntés, b) az életút, és c) az egyes diszciplínák döntéssel kapcsolatos kérdései. A döntéselmélet irodalma ma már hatalmas, és ez a cikk természetesen nem vállalkozik a téma átfogó feldolgozására. Felhívja azonban az olvasó figyelmét azokra a szempontokra, amelyeket a tanácsadók képzésében és gyakorlatában figyelembe lehet venn
Choosing Routes in Urban Areas that are Robust Against Minor Nonrecurring Traffic Incidents
The paper looks at certain vehicle-level re-routing issues within urban road networks, and related network-level traffic management issues. These arise mostly when the traffic along a route of significance is hindered, slowed down, or even blocked because of some – possibly minor – unexpected, nonrecurring traffic incident at a sensitive road location, or road section. Considerations for planning routes in urban areas – routes that are in some sense robust against such incidents – are presented herein. Also, the on–the–spot detection of traffic queues by an ego-vehicle – relying on data streams from on-board visual line-of-sight (LoS) exteroceptive sensors watching, scanning and monitoring the ego-vehicle's road environment, and by some on-board dedicated real-time detection systems processing and analyzing the incoming data streams – is touched upon. However, this traffic congestion avoidance and mitigating approach – effectuated either by individual autonomous vehicles, or by human drivers – presumes availability of alternative routes, which is not the case for a good portion of the route considered. A route planning approach that could be used for routes with such critical sections is proposed and motivated through an example of an urban route of significance
Comparing Turbulence Models for CFD Simulation of UAV Flight in a Wind Tunnel Experiments: Comparing turbulence models
Wind tunnel tests are costly and time-consuming, and the accuracy of the tests is limited by the size of the tunnel, to solve this problem, researchers use computational fluid dynamics (CFD) to conduct wind tunnel experiments using a computer because it is less timely and less costly. Computerized testing of drone's models using wind tunnel experiment simulation in computational fluid dynamic (CFD) software requires knowledge of the most suitable turbulence model for this drone. In this paper ANSYS fluent program has been used to test four most common turbulence models for use (Spalart-Allmaras, K-Epsilon, K-Omega and Reynolds stress) and laminar flow on the ScanEagle drone model (an aerial reconnaissance drone used in military and intelligence operations) and calculated their effect on aerodynamic parameters In terms of accuracy and time to solution, concluded that the best turbulence model in terms of balancing accuracy and the time taken for the calculation is K-Omega model
TariqAmn's Innovative Road Safety Paradigm through Smart Technology
In response to escalating road safety challenges within Algeria, marked by rising traffic volumes and urban development, the "TariqAmn Algeria" initiative emerges as a groundbreaking approach in traffic management. This study delineates the development and deployment of this innovative system, which leverages intelligent traffic signs, LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging, using laser light to measure distances) radar, and proactive brake control technologies, embedded within a robust traffic management framework. The system's dynamic adaptation to real-time traffic conditions and its enforcement of speed compliance are central to its design. Rigorous evaluations through SUMO (Simulation of Urban Mobility, a traffic simulation software) simulations and field tests in high-risk urban settings affirm its efficacy, demonstrating a 60% reduction in traffic incidents and a 50% reduction in speeding violations. By marrying local cultural insights with cutting-edge technology, "TariqAmn Algeria" not only enhances immediate road safety but also establishes a new paradigm in traffic management systems. The findings illuminate the significant scalability potential of the system, promising broader applications in enhancing road safety and adherence to traffic regulations across various regions, such as densely populated urban areas, high-traffic corridors, and accident-prone black spots. This initiative underscores the critical role of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) in modern road safety strategies and sets a precedent for future technological advancements in the field

Many modern models and standards for cataloguing collections in cultural institutions have an international approach and aim to be applicable across different cultural sectors. A goal that at first glance seems unlikely and has not yet been fully realised. But what are the chances of such a concept being realised? How can the balancing act between internationalisation and local requirements be achieved? What do new technologies offer us and what experiences are currently being made in practice? Enhancing e-book accessibility: Insights from user practices and needs across different communities
The purpose of the presented research was to gain insight into the user experience with e-books among users of mobile devices and to understand the needs of blind and partially sighted e-book users. The surveys were conducted using two questionnaires which were translated and distributed among users from 15 EODOPEN project partner organisations. The survey findings offer a comprehensive understanding of the preferences, behaviours, and challenges faced by e-book readers, including both individuals using mobile devices and those who are visually impaired. The study represents the first of its kind in Europe, and the findings provide valuable insights into the use of e-books and related technologies.This research aimed to understand the user experience with e-books among mobile device users and the needs of blind and partially sighted e-book users. It sought to answer: How do these users access e-books? What are their typical reading practices? What are the special needs of blind and partially sighted users? How does file format affect their reading experience? What mobile devices do they prefer?
For this purpose, surveys were conducted using two questionnaires developed with 1KA software. Translated into the languages of EODOPEN project partners, they were distributed among users from 15 partner organisations in 2020. The results were analysed using PSPP, a free alternative to SPSS.
The findings provide a comprehensive understanding of e-book reader preferences, behaviours, and challenges. Digital libraries are preferred for accessing e-books. Both groups favour offline reading sessions longer than 30 minutes, with structured navigation being crucial. PDF is the most favoured format, followed by EPUB. Preferences vary by visual impairment, with some preferring text-only formats like TXT and RTF. Notebooks and smartphones are popular devices among both groups
Horváth Iván emlékére (1948–2024)
Literary historian Iván Horváth, a pioneer of digital humanities in Hungary, has died. His work in the field of literary databases and online (critical) editions is internationally renowned. The database of Old Hungarian poetry created by him was published in Paris in 1992, together with the accompanying two-volume manual. His first online books (“network books”) were also published in the 1990s. Iván Horváth’s work and research was not only focused on internet publishing, but he was also interested in the long-term preservation of cultural heritage texts. One of his students bids farewell to the colourful personality who established a new school of thought.Meghalt Horváth Iván irodalomtörténész, aki a digitális bölcsészet úttörőjének számított Magyarországon. Az irodalmi adatbázisok és a hálózati kiadások terén nemzetközi szinten is figyelemre méltó a munkássága. A régi magyar költészetről szóló adatbázisa a hozzávaló kétkötetes kézikönyvvel együtt 1992-ben jelent meg Párizsban. Első hálózati könyvei szintén az 1990-es években készültek el. Horváth Ivánt nemcsak az internetes kiadások foglalkoztatták, de a kulturális örökséget jelentő szövegek hosszú távú megőrzése is. A színes egyéniségű, iskolateremtő tudóstól egyik tanítványa búcsúzik.
