    Group of photographs from Reverend Black's student days at Andover Newton Theological School in the early 1940s. Reverend S.H. [Samuel Horace] James, Jr., past pastor at Second Baptist Church in San Antonio, Texas, appears in photos numbered: 22_g, 22_h, 22_q, and 22_r. Reverend Alfonso Leon Lowry also appears, although Reverend Black spells his surname as "Lowery." Captions written by Reverend Black exist on the rear of photos as follows: Photo 22_b: Left to right: In front of me is a fellow from Virginia Union. His name is Edward McCreary. In the bed is B.J. Anderson of Morehouse '38. On the floor is Alfonso Lowery, the fellow whose family I visited in Brooklyn, N.Y. during the Xmas. He is also a Morehouse man class '38. The fellow in chair is Edwin.
