Jurisprudential Analysis of Lotus Silk's Permissibility for Muslim Men: A Preliminary Study
The emergence of lotus silk as an innovative sustainable textile has created significant jurisprudential considerations for Muslim men, particularly given the established Islamic prohibition of traditional silk. While classical Islamic jurisprudence demonstrates unanimous consensus (ijma') across all four madhahib prohibiting pure silk for men based on underlying principles ('illah) of avoiding luxury (tanaa'um), arrogance (khuyala'), and feminine characteristics, lotus silk presents novel challenges that existing frameworks have not comprehensively addressed. The research problem centers on the jurisprudential vacuum surrounding lotus silk evaluation, where contemporary fatawa demonstrate methodological inconsistency—some emphasizing material composition while others prioritizing final characteristics—resulting in unclear guidelines for scholars and consumers. This study employs qualitative library research methodology, utilizing content analysis of scientific literature and Islamic legal sources. The scientific review examines recent studies (2015-2024) on lotus silk's material properties, production methods, and commercial applications. The Islamic legal analysis focuses on classical jurisprudential foundations alongside contemporary fatawa from Malaysian religious authorities, particularly the 2024 fatwa from Jabatan Mufti Negeri Selangor addressing lotus silk. The findings reveal that classical jurisprudence provides robust precedent for characteristic-focused evaluation through extensive treatment of mixed silk fabrics (al-khazz), where scholars evaluated materials based on final characteristics rather than purely compositional factors. While lotus silk's plant-based origin avoids animal harm, its silk-like properties raise concerns about masculine norms and gender differentiation. Contemporary scholarly opinions trend toward discouraging lotus silk for men based on precautionary principles. The study concludes that developing clearer evaluation guidelines integrating both material composition and characteristic considerations is crucial for providing religious guidance on emerging textile innovations
Pendekatan Hisbah dalam pengurusan disiplin pelajar: kajian kes di Pondok Bustanul Arifin, Banting: The implementation of Hisbah principles in student discipline management: a case study at Pondok Bustanul Arifin, Banting
Artikel ini meneroka pelaksanaan prinsip hisbah dalam pengurusan disiplin pelajar di Pondok Bustanul Arifin, Banting sebagai pendekatan alternatif berteraskan nilai rohani dan akhlak. Kajian ini menggunakan reka bentuk kualitatif interpretatif dengan kaedah temu bual separa berstruktur, pemerhatian lapangan dan analisis dokumen. Analisis tematik dijalankan berdasarkan lima elemen utama hisbah: musyaratah, muraqabah, muhasabah, mu‘atabah dan mu‘aqabah. Dapatan menunjukkan bahawa pengurusan disiplin pondok tidak hanya menekankan aspek hukuman fizikal, tetapi lebih kepada pemulihan sahsiah melalui pendekatan tarbawi berasaskan kasih sayang. Hukuman simbolik seperti penempatan dalam liang lahad, rotan di khalayak dengan iringan selawat, serta teguran berhemah diaplikasikan bagi membina kesedaran rohani dan tanggungjawab kendiri. Selain itu, hubungan guru dan pelajar yang bersifat kekeluargaan menjadikan proses hisbah lebih berkesan dalam membina disiplin tanpa menimbulkan dendam. Implikasi kajian ini menegaskan bahawa pendekatan hisbah berpotensi dijadikan model disiplin alternatif yang bersepadu, sesuai diadaptasi dalam sistem pendidikan Islam lain untuk membentuk pelajar yang berakhlak dan bertanggungjawab.
This article explores the implementation of hisbah principles in managing student discipline at Pondok Bustanul Arifin, Banting as an alternative approach grounded in spiritual and moral values. Adopting an interpretive qualitative design, data were collected through semi-structured interviews, field observations and document analysis. Thematic analysis was conducted based on five core elements of hisbah: musyaratah, muraqabah, muhasabah, mu‘atabah and mu‘aqabah. The findings reveal that disciplinary management in the pondok does not rely merely on physical punishment but emphasizes character rehabilitation through compassionate tarbawi approaches. Symbolic punishments such as liang lahad reflection, public caning accompanied by selawat, and constructive admonition are practiced to cultivate spiritual awareness and personal accountability. Furthermore, the familial relationship between teachers and students enhances the effectiveness of hisbah in fostering discipline without resentment. The study implies that hisbah-based discipline provides a holistic alternative model that can be adapted in other Islamic educational systems to nurture ethical and responsible students
Aplikasi Model Kaunseling Tazkiyah Al-Nafs Dalam Kalangan Guru Bimbingan Dan Kaunseling: The Application Of The Tazkiyah Al-Nafs Counselling Model Among School Counsellors
Kaunseling Islam kini dilihat sebagai satu pendekatan alternatif yang semakin mendapat perhatian dalam sistem pendidikan moden, khususnya dalam menangani cabaran emosi dan spiritual pelajar. Namun, masih wujud kekaburan dari segi keberkesanan serta penerapan model-model Islamik secara sistematik dalam amalan kaunseling sekolah. Kajian ini menganalisis aplikasi model kaunseling tazkiyah al-nafs dalam kalangan Guru Bimbingan dan Kaunseling (GBK) di Malaysia. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan kajian kes pelbagai lokasi, kajian ini menilai sejauh mana model tazkiyah al-nafs al-Ghazali diterapkan dalam amalan kaunseling, khususnya dalam menangani isu psiko spiritual pelajar. Kaedah temu bual separa berstruktur dengan 19 orang kaunselor Muslim digunakan bagi memperoleh data empirikal, yang dianalisis secara tematik menggunakan perisian NVivo 12. Hasil kajian menunjukkan empat tema terhasil: (1) sesi dimulakan dengan niat, zikir, dan penetapan matlamat, (2) identifikasi punca masalah melalui aspek ibadah dan hati, (3) rawatan spiritual berasaskan peningkatan ibadah dan refleksi kendiri, serta (4) penilaian kesan terapi melalui perubahan tingkah laku dan komitmen terhadap ibadah. Dapatan kajian membuktikan bahawa kaunseling Islam tunggal berdasarkan model al-Ghazali dapat memberikan pendekatan menyeluruh yang merangkumi aspek emosi, kognitif, dan spiritual bagi meningkatkan kesejahteraan psikologi pelajar. Implikasi kajian menekankan keperluan latihan intensif bagi kaunselor dalam menguasai teknik penyucian jiwa (tazkiyah al-nafs) serta keperluan manual prosedur standard bagi memperkasa pelaksanaan kaunseling Islam di sekolah. Kajian ini menyumbang kepada literatur kaunseling berteraskan nilai Islam dan menawarkan alternatif model intervensi psiko spiritual dalam pendidikan moden.
Islamic counselling is increasingly recognized as a viable alternative within modern educational systems, particularly in addressing students’ emotional and spiritual challenges. However, ambiguities remain concerning its effectiveness and the systematic integration of Islamic models in school counselling practice. This study examines the application of the tazkiyah al-nafs counselling model among Muslim School Counsellors (Guru Bimbingan dan Kaunseling, GBK) in Malaysia. Employing a multi-site case study design, the research evaluates the extent to which al-Ghazālī’s tazkiyah al-nafs framework is operationalized in counselling practice, specifically in addressing students’ psychosocial and spiritual issues. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews with 19 Muslim counsellors and analysed thematically using NVivo 12 software. Four key themes emerged: (1) initiation of sessions through intention-setting, dhikr, and goal formulation; (2) identification of root problems through assessments of religious observance and inner states; (3) spiritual treatment based on enhanced religious practices and reflective self-purification; and (4) therapeutic outcome evaluation via behavioural change and commitment to worship. The findings affirm that an Islamic counselling model grounded in al-Ghazālī’s philosophy provides a holistic intervention approach that integrates emotional, cognitive, and spiritual dimensions to enhance students’ psychological well-being. The study underscores the need for intensive training in the practice of tazkiyah al-nafs and the development of standardized procedural manuals to strengthen the implementation of Islamic counselling in schools. This research contributes to the expanding literature on value-based Islamic counselling and proposes a viable psycho-spiritual intervention model within contemporary educational settings
Konsep Pemerintahan Islam Berasaskan Konsep Pengurusan Ekonomi Khalifah Umar Al-Khattab RA: The Concept Of Islamic Government Based On The Caliph Of Umar Al-Khattab Ra Economic Management Concept)
Banyak kajian berkaitan kepemimpinan dalam Islam dilakukan oleh para pengkaji, tinggal lagi kajian berkenaan konsep pemerintahan Islam yang belum banyak dilakukan oleh mana-mana pengkaji. Kajian ini penting dilakukan bagi mengisi lompang kajian tersebut. Hal ini juga menunjukkan bahawa konsep pemerintahan Islam sangat penting dibina agar ia menjadi panduan kepada para pemimpin pada hari ini. Jika disoroti kembali sejarah, kepimpinan Islam pada masa lalu banyak meninggalkan ketamadunan dan kejayaan. Persoalannya, kenapa tidak dikembalikan kegemilangan tersebut dengan menggunakan konsep pemerintahan berteraskan Islam? Lebih menarik, terdapat seorang khalifah pada awal-awal pemerintahan Islam iaitu Umar al-Khattab RA yang berjaya memadu banyak perkara secara komprehensif sehinggakan berjaya memperoleh kejayaan dalam pemerintahannya. Justeru itu, kajian ini ingin menumpukan konsep pengurusan kepemimpinan berteraskan Islam Umar al-Khattab RA agar ia dapat dijadikan panduan pembinaan konsep pemerintahan berteraskan Islam. Daripada kepentingan-kepentingan tersebut, kajian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan reka bentuk kajian metod naratif kerana ia bertepatan dengan data sekunder yang dikumpulkan iaitu dengan menggunakan kaedah kajian dokumen. Data-data ini kemudiannya dianalisis dengan menggunakan kaedah analisis kandungan kualitatif. Hasilnya didapati bahawa kerangka konsep pengurusan ekonomi kepemimpinan berteraskan Islam Umar al-Khattab RA yang meliputi dua prinsip, satu ciri, dan satu kaedah dapat dijadikan sebagai sebahagian konsep pemerintahan berteraskan Islam. Bagi dua prinsipnya ialah takut hanya kepada Allah SWT dan mempertahankan syariat Islam. Satu ciri kepemimpinan Umar al-Khattab RA ialah berakhlak mulia dan satu kaedah kepemimpinan Baginda pula mengembangkan tajdid. Kerajaan seperti ini terbukti mendapat jaminan keselamatan, keharmonian sosial dan tidak berlaku sebarang kezaliman.
Many studies related to leadership in Islam have been conducted by researchers, but there is still a study on the concept of Islamic governance that has not been done by any researcher. This study is important to fill the gaps in the study. This also shows that the concept of Islamic governance is very important to build so that it can be a guide for leaders today. If we look back at history, Islamic leadership in the past left a lot of civilization and success. The question is, why not restore that glory by using the concept of Islamic-based governance? More interestingly, there was a caliph at the beginning of the Islamic rule, namely Umar al-Khattab RA who managed to combine many things comprehensively to the point of achieving success in his rule. Therefore, this study wants to focus on the concept of Islamic-based leadership management of Umar al-Khattab RA so that it can be used as a guide for building the concept of Islamic-based governance. From these interests, this study was conducted using a narrative method research design because it coincides with the secondary data collected, namely by using the document study method. This data was then analyzed using the qualitative content analysis method. The results found that the framework of the concept of economic management based on Islamic leadership of Umar al-Khattab RA which includes two principles, one characteristic, and one method can be used as part of the concept of Islamic governance. The two principles are fear only of Allah SWT and defending Islamic law. One characteristic of Umar al-Khattab RA's leadership is having noble character and one method of his leadership is developing tajdid. Konsep pemerintahan Islam berasaskan pengurusan sosial dan rohani: model kepimpinan Umar al-Khattab RA: The concept of Islamic governance based on social and spiritual management: the leadership model of Umar al-Khattab RA
Kajian ini meneliti berkaitan konsep pemerintahan Islam berasaskan pengurusan sosial dan rohani dalam kepimpinan Umar al-Khattab RA sebagai kerangka pembinaan pemerintahan Islam masa kini. Walaupun banyak kajian mengenai kepimpinan Islam telah dilakukan, kajian khusus mengenai konsep pemerintahan yang menekankan nilai sosial dan rohani masih kurang mendapat perhatian. Sejarah membuktikan bahawa kepimpinan Umar al-Khattab RA berjaya menggabungkan prinsip cinta kepada Rasulullah SAW, keadilan, amanah, tauhid, dan kepatuhan kepada syariat Islam secara menyeluruh. Pendekatan ini telah menghasilkan sebuah pemerintahan yang aman, adil, harmoni, dan bebas daripada kezaliman. Kajian ini menggunakan reka bentuk metod naratif dengan data sekunder yang dikumpulkan melalui kajian dokumen dan dianalisis secara kualitatif menggunakan analisis kandungan. Dapatan kajian menunjukkan bahawa kerangka pengurusan sosial dan rohani dalam kepimpinan Umar al-Khattab RA terdiri daripada lima prinsip utama, empat ciri kepimpinan, dan dua kaedah pelaksanaan yang saling melengkapi. Kerangka ini dapat dijadikan panduan penting dalam pembinaan konsep pemerintahan Islam masa kini bagi menggantikan sistem ideologi Barat yang kurang berteraskan nilai rohani. Dengan mencontohi kerangka kepimpinan ini, diharapkan pemimpin Islam masa kini dapat mencapai kejayaan dan kesejahteraan masyarakat seperti yang telah dicapai pada zaman pemerintahan.
This study examines the concept of Islamic governance based on social and spiritual management in the leadership of Umar al-Khattab RA as a framework for building contemporary Islamic governance. While numerous studies on Islamic leadership have been conducted, specific research focusing on governance concepts that emphasize social and spiritual values has received comparatively less attention. History proves that the leadership of Umar al-Khattab RA successfully integrated the principles of love for the Prophet Muhammad SAW, justice, trustworthiness, monotheism, and comprehensive adherence to Islamic law. This approach resulted in a government that was peaceful, just, harmonious, and free from oppression. The study adopts a narrative method design, utilizing secondary data collected through document analysis, and qualitatively examined using content analysis. The findings reveal that the framework of social and spiritual management in the leadership of Umar al-Khattab RA comprises five core principles, four leadership traits, and two complementary implementation methods. This framework can serve as an important guideline in shaping a contemporary concept of Islamic governance to replace Western ideological systems that are less grounded in spiritual values. By emulating this leadership framework, it is hoped that present-day Muslim leaders can achieve societal success and well-being similar to that attained during his reign
Penerokaan Pendekatan Psikologi Targhib dan Tarhib dalam Dakwah Kepada Non-Muslim: The Exploration of the Psychological Approach of Targhib and Tarhib in Da'wah to Non-Muslim
Pendekatan psikologi targhib dan tarhib dalam dakwah terhadap Non-Muslim adalah satu kaedah yang mengintegrasikan elemen motivasi dan peringatan berdasarkan prinsip-prinsip Islam. Namun demikian, dalam perlaksanaan dakwah terhadap Non-Muslim, terdapat kes-kes di mana pendakwah tidak berupaya menerapkan kedua-dua pendekatan ini khususnya pendekatan targhib. Objektif kajian ini adalah untuk meneroka pendekatan targhib dan tarhib dalam dakwah terhadap Non-Muslim dengan merujuk kepada sumber primer seperti al-Quran, Hadith, tafsir klasik dan kontemporari serta kajian semasa berkaitan subjek kajian yang boleh dijadikan asas merangka pendekatan dakwah yang sesuai dengan Non-Muslimberdasarkan prinsip targhib dan tarhib. Metodologi yang digunakan dalam penulisan artikel ini ialah analisis dokumen yang melibatkan analisis terhadap teks dakwah dengan merujuk karya ilmiah berdasarkan sumber klasik dan moden berkaitan subjek kajian. Sorotan dan analisis penerokaan ini mendapati bahawa keseimbangan antara elemen targhib dan tarhibadalah satu pendekatan yang harmoni dalam dakwah yang dapat meningkatkan penerimaan terhadap mesej Islam oleh mad’u. Pendekatan ini bukan sahaja memberikan motivasi kepada mad’u tetapi juga memberi peringatan secara berhemah, selaras dengan prinsip dakwah bil hikmah yang menekankan kebijaksanaan, kelembutan, pemujukan dan ketegasan dalam menyampaikan mesej Islam khususnya terhadap Non-Muslim.
The psychological approach of targhib and tarhib in da'wah towards non-Muslims is a method that integrates elements of motivation and warning based on Islamic principles. However, in the implementation of da'wah towards Non-Muslims, there are cases where the da'wah practitioners are unable to apply both approaches, especially the targhib approach. The objective of this study is to explore the targhib and tarhib approaches in da'wah towards Non-Muslims by referring to primary sources such as the Quran, Hadith, classical and contemporary interpretations, as well as current studies related to the subject that can serve as a foundation for formulating a da'wah approach that is appropriate for Non-Muslims based on the principles of targhib and tarhib. The basyir and nazir that iare related to targhib and tarhib approach exemplified by Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) reflects a combination of compassion and firmness in delivering the message of Islam are an example on this exploration. The method used in this article is a document analysis, which involves the analysis of da'wah texts, scholarly works based on classical and modern sources in the fields of da'wah and psychology. This exploration and analysis reveal that balancing targhib and tarhib elements in da'wah works is a harmonius approach that can enhance the acceptance of the Islamic message by those of called. Darar Emosi dan Hak Wanita dalam Pembubaran Perkahwinan: Emotional Darar and Women's Right in Marriage Dissolution
Islam mengiktiraf dan melindungi hak wanita daripada penderaan dalam hubungan kekeluargaan, termasuk penderaan atau ḍarar emosi yang boleh memudaratkan kesihatan mental dan kehidupan wanita. Ḍarar emosi dianggap sebagai alasan sah bagi memohon perceraian menurut Enakmen Undang-Undang Keluarga Islam (EUUKI) di Malaysia, melibatkan penghinaan, makian, dan pembulian emosi berterusan oleh suami. Namun, isteri masih berhadapan dengan cabaran beban pembuktian dan prosedur mahkamah. Kajian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pandangan ulama fiqah mengenai hukum perceraian disebabkan ḍarar emosi dan aplikasinya dalam EUUKI, serta mengenal pasti cabaran pelaksanaan EUUKI dalam menangani isu ḍarar emosi. Kajian ini juga menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan mengumpul data primer melalui kajian kepustakaan dan temu bual separa struktur bersama seorang peguam syarie. Data dianalisis menggunakan kaedah analisis kandungan. Dapatan kajian mendapati, EUUKI menggunakan pandangan mazhab Maliki yang membolehkan isteri memohon fasakh disebabkan ḍarar emosi. Di samping itu, beberapa cabaran dikenal pasti seperti isteri sukar mengemukakan bukti yang kukuh, kurang pengetahuan mengenai ḍarar emosi, dan prosedur mahkamah yang panjang. Kajian mencadangkan pemerkasaan undang-undang serta meningkatkan kesedaran melalui sokongan sosial sesuai masa kini. Kesimpulannya, kajian ini diharapkan dapat membantu memperkukuh perlindungan wanita yang mengalami ḍarar emosi dalam perkahwinan.
Islam recognizes and protects women's rights from abuse within family relationships, including emotional abuse or ḍarar, which can harm women’s mental health and well-being. Emotional ḍarar is considered a valid ground for divorce under the Islamic Family Law Enactment (IFLE) in Malaysia, involving continuous humiliation, verbal abuse, and emotional bullying by the husband. However, women still face challenges related to the burden of proof and legal procedures. This study aims to analyze the views of Islamic jurisprudence scholars on the legitimacy of divorce due to emotional ḍarar and its application under IFLE, as well as to identify the challenges in implementing IFLE in addressing emotional ḍarar. The study uses a qualitative approach, gathering primary data through literature review and semi-structured interviews with a Syariah lawyer. The data was analyzed using content analysis. The findings indicate that IFLE follows the Maliki school of thought, which allows a wife to seek fasakh (annulment of marriage) due to emotional ḍarar. Several challenges were identified, such as difficulty in providing solid evidence, lack of awareness regarding emotional ḍarar, and lengthy court procedures. The study recommends strengthening legal frameworks and raising awareness through modern social support systems. In conclusion, the study aims to contribute to reinforcing protection for women experiencing emotional ḍarar within marriage
Sustainable community well-being through planning and design interventions based on the Book of Hikam: Kesejahteraan komuniti lestari melalui perancangan dan intervensi reka bentuk berasaskan Kitab Al-Hikam
Community well-being frameworks often emphasize measurable dimensions such as economic growth, healthcare, and social services, yet they frequently overlook the spiritual and psychological aspects that are essential in many cultural and religious contexts. This gap limits the effectiveness of current interventions, particularly in Muslim-majority societies where spirituality plays a central role in shaping values and resilience. This study explores the Book of Hikam by Ibn Ata'illah al-Iskandari as a foundation for interventions promoting sustainable community well-being. Using a qualitative scoping review and thematic analysis, it identifies 21 well-being concepts to guide holistic community programs. Data from classical texts and scholarly works were validated by five experts. The analysis highlights four interlinked well-being dimensions: physical, social, mental, and spiritual, forming a framework that balances external conditions with internal virtues. Insights emphasize self-awareness, empathy, social harmony, mental resilience, and spiritual fulfilment, showing how Hikam-based principles can enrich well-being initiatives. The study calls for integrating these culturally grounded approaches and recommends further empirical research across diverse contexts
Krisis identiti peribadi dalam kandungan yang dihasilkan pengguna era digital: Personal identity crisis in user-generated content in the digital era
Kandungan yang dihasilkan pengguna (User-Generated Content, UGC) telah menjadi komponen utama dalam landskap pemasaran digital masa kini. UGC semakin mendapat perhatian dalam kalangan pengguna apabila pelantar media sosial menjadi tumpuan bagi memperoleh pendapat dan maklumbalas tentang produk dan perkhidmatan yang digunakan dan dijadikan panduan oleh pengguna lain untuk membuat pertimbangan sebelum membeli. Namun begitu, peningkatan tekanan sosial, tuntutan algoritma, dan jangkaan jenama telah menimbulkan satu fenomena yang semakin membimbangkan, iaitu krisis identiti peribadi dalam kalangan pencipta kandungan. Kajian ini bertujuan untuk meneroka bentuk-bentuk utama krisis identiti peribadi yang wujud dalam UGC di pelantar media sosial. Kajian ini menggunakan desk research untuk mengumpul data dan dianalisis melalui analisis kandungan kualitatif. Dapatan kajian menunjukkan bahawa krisis identiti peribadi wujud dalam empat bentuk iaitu ketidakselarasan identiti, keresahan terhadap pengiktirafan sosial, perbandingan sosial berterusan, dan kegagalan menyatukan nilai agama dan kandungan yang dihasilkan pengguna. Keempat-empat bentuk krisis tersebut memberikan kesan yang lebih kompleks kepada identiti peribadi seorang Muslim kerana pertindihan antara tuntutan identiti digital dengan tuntutan sebagai Muslim sebenar. Penekanan terhadap nilai-nilai peribadi Muslim seperti berkata benar, amanah, menyampaikan, bijaksana, keikhlasan, bertanggungjawab, dan kesempurnaan perlu dititikberatkan dalam kalangan pengguna era digital.
User-Generated Content (UGC) has emerged as a central component of today’s digital marketing landscape. UGC is increasingly gaining attention among consumers as social media platforms serve as key spaces for obtaining opinions and feedback on products and services, which are often used as references by other users before making purchasing decisions. However, the rise of social pressure, algorithmic demands, and brand expectations has led to a growing phenomenon, namely the personal identity crisis among content creators. This study aims to explore the key forms of personal identity crisis present in UGC on social media platforms. It employs desk research to gather data, which is then analyzed using qualitative content analysis. The findings reveal that personal identity crises manifest in four main forms: identity misalignment, anxiety over social recognition, continuous social comparison, and the failure to reconcile religious values with the content produced. All key forms of the crisis have a more complex impact on the personal identity of a Muslim due to the overlap between the demands of digital identity and the obligations of being a true Muslim. Accordingly, greater emphasis must be placed on upholding core Islamic personal values such as honesty, trustworthiness, responsibility, wisdom, sincerity, and excellence within the digital era.

Ilmu perbintangan adalah salah satu cabang ilmu yang tertua di dunia. Ilmu ini merangkumi kajian astronomi dan astrologi dengan fokus kepada objek langit. Dalam konteks masyarakat Melayu, Bintang 12 atau zodiak telah diamalkan sejak zaman dahulu lagi, termasuk oleh umat Islam pada ketika itu. Walaupun tradisi ini mempunyai sejarah yang panjang, perbahasan hukum pengamalannya masih kurang mendalam dan sering dipandang negatif. Kajian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, berdasarkan kajian yang lepas. Kitab Usul Fikah, Kitab Turath, Kitab Bintang Dua Belas serta dokumen sejarah Islam digunakan untuk mengupas pandangan dan hukum syarak mengenai pengamalan Bintang 12. Melalui temu bual pakar dan analisis dapatan. kajian mendapati bahawa pengamalan ilmu ini dibahagikan kepada kategori hukum harus dan haram, dengan dalil Sadd al-Zara’i’ digunakan untuk mengelakkan kemudaratan akibat salah guna. Oleh itu, perlu diketahui bahawa perbahasan berkenaan dengan Bintang 12 perlu di perluaskan agar kajian dalam bidang ini dapat dilakukan dengan lebih teliti dan mendalam.
Astrological knowledge is one of the oldest branches of science in the world. It encompasses the study of astronomy and astrology, which focusing on celestial objects. In the context of Malay society, the 12 Stars or zodiac have been practiced since ancient times, including by Muslims of that era. Although this tradition has a long history, the discussion of its legal rulings remains insufficiently in-depth and is often viewed negatively. This study employs a qualitative approach, based on previous research. The Kitab Usul Fikah, Kitab Turath, Kitab Bintang Dua Belas, and Islamic historical documents are used to examine Islamic perspectives and legal rulings regarding the practice of the 12 Stars through expert interviews and analysis of findings. The study reveals that the practice of this knowledge is divided into categories of permissible and prohibited, with the evidence from Sadd al-Zara’i’ used to prevent harm resulting from misuse. Therefore, it is important to expand the discussion on the 12 Stars to enable more detailed and thorough research in this field.Ilmu perbintangan adalah salah satu cabang ilmu yang tertua di dunia.
