Analysis of Endo-1,4-β-Glucanase (eglS) Gene in Cellulose-Degrading Bacteria (Bacillus) Based on In Silico Research
The process of cellulose degradation naturally requires the help of microorganisms. The group of Bacillus bacteria is one of the cellulolytic bacteria that can break down cellulose. The mechanism of cellulose degradation in Bacillus is a complex system and was regulated by a number of genes. One of Bacillus genes that has mechanism of cellulose degradation is eg1S gene. This gene is responsible to hydrolyze the internal glycosidic bonds to reduce the long chain of cellulose. This research examines the compa rasion of endo-1,4-β- glucanase gene homology in Bacillus that can degrade cellulose. The method of research is in sillico-based research by using National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website, Clustal Omega website, and MEGA - X software. The results obtained in this research are the identity of endo-1,4-β- glucanase gene, phylogenetic tree, and similarity index in Bacillus that can degrade cellulose. From the
research that has been done, it can be concluded that the highest homology ratio of endo-1,4-β-glucanase gene is occupied by Bacillus subtilis strain AuChE413
and Bacillus subtilis strain IARI-SP-1 with 100% identical similarities
Covid-19 Risk Mapping with the Fuzzy C-Means Method in DIY Province
The Fuzzy C-Means method is one of the grouping methods that can be used by the cluster model. This method can be used to classify various case data, one of which is related to Covid-19. This research is intended to determine the level of risk of Covid-19 based on several determining variables in the province of Yogyakarta Special Region (DIY) during the last 2 months. The data is processed using fuzzy c-means clustering (FCM) analysis which is a development of fuzzy clustering analysis with c participation to analyze the Covid-19 pandemic in DIY province based on several determining variables, namely the number of additional positive victims, pdp , and the frequency of recovered patients. The number of additional positive victims, pdp, odp and frequency of recovered patients were used as variables in grouping regions by district based on the level of risk to Covid-19. The best grouping results are obtained based on "High Risk" and "Low Risk". Districts that are included in the High Risk group are Sleman and Yogyakarta Regencies. Meanwhile, other districts are included in the Low Risk group, namely Bantul, Kulon Progo, and Gunungkidul Regencies
Design of Prototype Home Door Security System Based Solenoid Door Lock, Magnetic Sesor, Microcontroller Nodemcu Esp8266 and Blynk Application
This research was motivated by many cases of property theft, so that it is necessary to make preventive efforts. The government together with the DPR have effort, through the Book of Criminal Law (KUHP), one of which is article 483. Although the government and the DPR has made efforts, but in reality there are still cases of theft that occur. Therefore, other efforts are needed minimize the theft of property. Other efforts can be done by strengthening the security system. Security sytem is the form of a house door security system. This research aimed to design a prototype of home door security system based on solenoid door lock, magnetic sensor, NodeMCU ESP8266 microcontroller and Blynk application. This research was conducted in two stages, firstly was design of house mockup using SketchUp Software and secondly was design of pin-pin configuration of the system using Fritzing Software. Humans as creatures of God are given reason, but they forget that not only with human reason can be smart without being accompanied by effort. Education is a human activity that intends to fully develop individuals. Islam is a religion that places great importance on human education. This is evident to many in the Qur\u27an and hadith which are the main sources of Muslims. Which of these two sources is a guide in educating children for parents to make their children a pious child. Effects of Three Organic Spices (Ginger, Clove, and Turmeric) on the Proximate and Sensory Properties of Tomato Powder
In this study, the effects of three organic spices (ginger, clove and turmeric) on the proximate and sensory properties of tomato powder evaluated revealed that moisture, ash, crude fiber, fat, protein and carbohydrate content ranged from 15.89 - 18.60%, 5.50 - 7.41%, 5.32 - 7.41%, 4.10 - 4.59%, 11.40 - 14.65% and 51.33 - 52.47% respectively. The increase in the proportion of organic spices decreased the moisture content and protein content while increasing significantly the ash and carbohydrate content of the samples. However, the fat content of the control and sample DDD were significantly different (P≤0.05). The increase in the ash content of the supplemented samples could be attributed to the minerals and phytochemical abundance in organic spices. Generally, consumer’s preference decreased with increase in the proportion of organic spices. This could be because the products are novel to most people

The development of nuclear technology is beneficial for many sectors including farming, health, industry, hydrology, archeology, mining, and agriculture and food. One of the interesting thing to be discussed is utilization of nuclear technology in agriculture and food sector. These sectors are crucial and closely related to the fulfillment of human life needs. This article discussed the use of nuclear technology in agriculture and food. The implementation of nuclear technology in agriculture and food could be found in several things, those are in mutations for plant breeding using gamma irradiation technique, fertilization efficiency using tracer technique, plant pests control using the sterile insect technique (TSM), and food or crops preservation using irradiation technique. By maximizing the utilization of nuclear technology, it is expected that it can increase productivity in the agriculture and food sectors
Application of Cell Membrane Principles in Molecular Separation Process with Membrane Technology on Food Science
The cell membrane is a feature in all types of human cells that functions as separator between inside and outside environment ofthe cell and composed of lipoprotein compounds. The function of cell membrane is to regulate entry and exit of substances from the cell through membrane transport system. There are two types of transport on membrane, passive and active transport. Membrane technology is inspired by the role of cell membranes. Membrane separation is a technique of separating mixture of 2 or more components selectively without using heat between two phases, homogeneous or heterogeneous and having different thicknesses. This review aims to determine the application of separation process with membrane technology in food sector and provide an overview, especially in membrane-based protein separation and purification technology. Membrane-based protein separation and purification technology uses membrane process with force of pressure, including microfiltration (MF), ultrafiltration (UF), nanofiltration (NF) and reverse osmosis (RO). Various applications of the separation process with membrane technology on food sector are protein separation at the processing of grain products (cereals), dairy products, beverage products, and animal products
ISLAMISASI SAINS PERSPEKTIF ISMAIL RAJI’ Al FARUQI SEBAGAI UPAYA MENGINTEGRASIKAN SAINS DAN ILMU AGAMA
Problematika yang terjadi dewasa ini berkisar pada masalah bahwa sains modern dipenuhi unsur-unsur sekular yang memisahkandirinya dengan nilai-nilai teologis atau agama. Implikasinya adalah bahwa banyak dari para sarjana muslim yang belajar sains modern,justru bersikap sekularistik materialistik dan antagonistik terhadap ilmu-ilmu agama. Sebaliknya, para sarjana muslim alumnus pendidikansalaf cenderung bersikap konservatif ekslusif dan antagonistik terhadap ilmu-ilmu modern yang sebenarnya sangat diperlukan. Jelasnya,bahwa sains modern membawa dampak negatif yaitu berkembangnya paham-paham Barat dalam diri umat Islam yang mengakibatkanterpisahnya sains dengan agama. Dalam merespon hal diatas, Ismail Raji’ Al-Faruqi, seorang cendekiawan muslim dari Palestina,menyatakan bahwa tidak ada cara lain untuk bangkit dari masalah tersebut kecuali dengan mengkaji kembali keilmuan-keilmuan Islamklasik, masa kini dan keilmuan modern Barat sekaligus, untuk kemudian mengolahnya menjadi keilmuan yang rahmatan li al-alamin,melalui apa yang disebut ‘Islamisasi ilmu’ yang kemudian disosialisasikan lewat sistem pendidikan Islam yang integratif.Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kepustakaan (library research) dimana dalam penelitian ini peneliti menggunakan metode deskriptifanalitis. Metode deskriptif digunakan untuk menggambarkan pandangan Ismail Al Faruqi terkait konsep islamisasi diambil dari beberapakaryanya terkait itu. Sementara itu metode analisa peneliti gunakan untuk menganalisa sejauh mana konsep islamisasi tersebut dalam upayamengintegrasikan antara sains dan agama.Dari penelitian ini, dapat disimpulkan bahwa Islamisasi Faruqi berfokus pada upaya integrasi antara sains dan ilmu agama. Faruqimenjadikan tauhid sebagai dasar pijakan Islamisasi dimana tauhid mengandung beberapa unsur kesatuan, yaitu kesatuan Tuhan, kesatuanciptaan, kesatuan pengetahuan, kesatuan hidup dan kesatuan manusia.Islamisasi di tangan Faruqi bukan saja dalam ranah teori danepistemologi, melainkan Faruqi secara rinci menjelaskan tahapan praktis untuk proses Islamisasi tersebut dengan dua belas langkah yangharus ditempuh dalam usaha ini. Dan selanjutnya, Faruqi menjadikan tujuan akhir dari Islamisasi nya adalah terwujudnya sebuah integrasiantara ilmu pengetahuan, sains dan agama
Rediscovery of Premna lucidula Miq (Lamiaceae) in Mount Nglanggeran Gunungkidul
Premna lucidula Miq (Lamiaceae) were found at S 07o 50’ 29.4”; E 110o 32’ 10.2” about 497 meter above sea levelin mount Nglanggeran, Gunungkidul, Yogyakarta. Identification was based on literature and herbarium specimen. The research was conduct using exploration method, morphological observation, and specimen collection. Premna lucidula is a shrub or small scandent tree. The specific character for its identification was inflorescence, leaf, fruit and stem structure. This paper described the important character of leaf, stem, flower, and fruit of Premna lucidula in mount Nglanggeran Gunungkidul Yogyakarta for support Backer & Bakhuizen (1965) description. Premna lucidula were recorded in Pacitan (Central Java) by Horsefied hundred years ago. The lack of subsequent report on this species was due to misidentification or ignorance of the importance of taxonomic research. Accurate description and examination of any plant species were needed for its conservation and awareness of public to local biodiversity
Thickening of The Blekok Finger Bone (Ardeola speciosa)
Ardeola speciosa, also known as the Blekok bird, is an Aves group that has the Ardeola order. Ardeola speciosa has a size of about 46 cm, long strands of white fur on the front and back of the head to the back. The back color is blacker. Lower body and pure is white wings. It has a gray and yellow beak with a black tip. The beak is yellow with a black tip. And has yellow feet. Each leg on Ardeola speciosa has four toes consisting of segments on each finger. On this occasion we will examine the fingers of the Blekok bird. This research was used to examine the thickening of the finger bones, before being examined the finger bones were cleaned until clean and visible bones, then cut each finger in a transverse position carefully so that the part under study was not damaged. Then it is observed in each bone whether there is thickening in the bone wall
