    Peramalan Pelayanan Service Mobil (After-Sale) Menggunakan Backpropagation Neural Network (BPNN)

    The automotive industry in Indonesia, primarily cars, is getting more and more varied. Along with increasing the number of vehicles, Brand Holder Sole Agents (ATPM) compete to provide after-sale services (mobile service). However, the company has difficulty knowing the rate of growth in the number of mobile services handled, thus causing losses that impact sources of income. Therefore, we need a standard method in determining the forecasting of the number of car services in the following year. This study implements the Backpropagation Neural Network (BPNN) method in forecasting car service services (after-sale) and Mean Square Error (MSE) for the process of testing the accuracy of the forecasting results formed. The data used in this study is car service data (after-sale) for the last five years. The results show that the best architecture for forecasting after-sales services using BPNN is the 5-10-5-1 architectural model with a learning rate of 0.2 and the learning function of trainlm and MSE of 0.00045581. This proves that the BPNN method can predict mobile service (after-sale) services with good forecasting accuracy values

    Developing Puzzles Laboratory Safety Symbols for Laboratory Introduction

    This work describes a study of puzzles development of laboratory safety symbols for laboratory introduction. The puzzles were purposed as a learning media for students prior to work in chemistry and science laboratory. The puzzles consisted of two different standard systems, Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) and National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 704. For instructional development, the media was developed using four-D model (Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate).     Batik wastewater treatment using PAC (Poly Aluminium Chloride) as a coagulant and organoclay (montmorillonite- polyDADMAC) as flocculants was investigated in this study. The purpose of this study was to analyze the quality of batik wastewater effluent before and after coagulation-flocculation and analyze the effectiveness of organoclay as flocculants of batik wastewater. Organoclay (montmorillonite-polyDADMAC) synthesised by reacting natural bentonite with polyDADMAC 0.4%. Coagulation and flocculation used jar test method with a speed stirring at 120 rpm for 2 minutes and slow stirring at 40 rpm with a variety of types, masses of flocculants and flocculation time. At first, batik wastewater had high levels of TSS and TDS levels. TSS and TDS levels reduced after coagulation-flocculation. Effectiveness of maximum TSS reduced at 99,74% with the addition of organoclay flocculant 2.5 g/L and flocculation time for 80 minutes. Effectiveness of maximum TDS reduced at 93,57% with the addition of organoclay flocculant 2.5 g/L and 60 minutes flocculation

    Tidal Energy Utilization of Larantuka Strait by Dual Tidal Turbines to Increase National Energy Resilience

    Currently, renewable energy can only support 5% of national energy needs. Meanwhile, in 2035 renewable energy targeted to sustain 14% of total national energy demand. The proper way for optimizing the renewable energy is needed to actualize the target. Tidal energy as one of the potentials that are still being developed and need more attention from the government. Tidal can be used for natural energy resource since it has zero emission, produce big energy, and has no impact to weather. Larantuka Strait located in Flores island, Nusa Tenggara Timur province can produce tidal velocity up to 2.859 m/s with water density as much as 1.025 gr/cc. In utilizing this energy, we use new innovation by using dual tidal turbines which placed at the foot of Palmerah Bridge. The construction of Palmerah Bridge is built both by the government of Flores Island and Adonara Island. Dual tidal turbines are more efficient than single turbine by reason of tidal that has passed through the first turbine can be used again for the second turbine. The using of the generator is meant to convert kinetic energy that produced by dual tidal turbines. To convert ocean currents into electrical energy optimally, it is necessary to plan turbine designs that are in accordance with the conditions of ocean currents and the surrounding environment such as current velocity, wind influences and so on. Horizontal-axis tidal turbine (HATTs) is one of the technologies that are being developed and tested in prototype form by several companies, an efficient blade design is very important for the success of the HATTs. The amount of turbine needs, in this case, is 15 turbines with each turbine’s length is 10 meters. The turbines installed in bridge’s column along 800 meters. Estimate electricity can be generated by the turbine is 1.48 Mega Watt (MW)

    Diversity of Ferns (Pteridophyta) in Ancient Volcano Mount Nglanggeran Climbing Track and the Booklet Development for Independent Learning Sources

    This study aims to determine the diversity of ferns species in Ancient Volcano Mount (Gunung Api Purba) Nglanggeran climbing track and develop the Ferns Booklet as a source of students\u27 independent learning as well as knowing the quality of the product. This type of research is development research (R & D) using three stages. The first is taking sampling and identification, second is developing product and the last is trials product. The product was evaluated and validated by material experts, media experts, and 5 peer reviewers. A limited test was conducted by a biology teacher and 15 students of MA Wahid Hasyim Sleman (Islamic Senior High School) by questionnaire method. The results showed that ferns diversity has 39 species by 20 genera in 12 families. Qualitative data from the results are converted into quantitative data. Product quality according to the assessors is in the very good category, with an ideal percentage assessment from the experts, peer reviewers, biology teachers and students respectively 87.59%; 86.48%; 84.83%; and 90.88%. Thus, the Fern Booklet is very suitable to be used as a source of independent learning students

    Vertebrae Cervical of Egret (Egretta garzeta)

    Egret is a long-necked bird that is often found in several regions in Indonesia. Egret have different neck bone structure than the other birds. When flying position the neck can be folded to from the letter S and when taking food the neck can bend down unt il it reaches the ground surface. His neck is strong and cannot be broken. Egret’s neck is composed of 13 vertebrae, each of which has a different structure and functions. In sections C5 to C7 have special characteristics. The sixth neck bone lengthens and the arrangement of muscle connections is elastic. To observe the cervical vertebrae in Egret done by cleaning all attached tissue then observed using a binocular stereo microscope wurh a magnification of 0.8x. The observations show that at C5 it has a longer segment than the others and has posterior condyle. Then in C6 there is a pivot point that allows the Egret to pull their necks into an S shape and allows Egret to push the head forward and catch prey at high speed (Wheler, 1929

    The Potential Effect of Gynura Procumbens Aqueous Extract as Anti-Hyperglycaemia, Pro-Fertility and Libido Agent Towards Diabetes-Induced Male Rats

    Diabetes mellitus is a metabolic disorder that often affected fertility health, specifically in men. Gynura procumbens (G. procumbens) has been used as traditional medicine due to its ability in treating various types of illness. Hence, this study was carried out to determine the potential beneficial effect of G. procumbens as anti-hyperglycaemia, pro-fertility and libido agent towards diabetes-induced male rats. A total of 42 male Sprague Dawley rats were randomly assigned into six groups; normal, negative, and positive control, and three treated groups of different dosages of G. procumbens aqueous extract (GPAE); 150 mg/kg, 300 mg/kg and 450 mg/kg. Each group was given treatment via oral gavage for seven consecutive days. The rats were sacrificed on day eighth for further analysis. The fasting blood glucose (FBG) level in all GPAE treated group showed significant decrease, and 450 mg/kg treated group showed significant reduction to a normal blood glucose level compared to all groups. There were significant increases in the sperm quality of GPAE treated groups after seven days of treatment compared to the negative and positive control group, specifically in 450 mg/kg treated group. Testis histology showed that GPAE treated groups produced a significant result whereby the seminiferous tubules were seen packed with sperm and successive stage of spermatogenesis were shown compared to control groups. Hormone analysis suggested that the luteneizing hormone (LH), follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) and testosterone hormone of the treated groups were elevated after seven days of treatment compared to the negative and positive control groups. Libido analysis of seven days treatment showed that GPAE treated groups, significantly improved in 450 mg/kg dose compared to other groups, with the highest number of mounting frequency and shortest mounting latency. Fertility test revealed a significant increase in number of implantation sites produced in GPAE treated groups compared to positive and negative control groups. In conclusion, GPAE exhibited a potential beneficial effect as an anti-diabetic and also as fertility agent in diabetic-induced male rats

    Ecologically, butterflies as component in the pollination process have a role to maintain the balance of the ecosystem and enriching biodiversity. Because of that, it is important to study. It is found that the diversity of butterflies in a place is different from other places. It is because of the presence of butterflies in a habitat is closely related to environmental factors. Since there are various types of butterflies found in nature, this study was conducted to observe the type of species from the butterflies (Lepidoptera) Sub Ordo Rhopalocera that is found in Kedung Kopong and Banyak Angkrem, Salaman, Magelang. To collect the data, line transect method was applied. The length and width of the line adjusted to the topographic conditions and the stand density at the observation location. The results of this study reveals 61 species of butterflies belonging to five families. There are 9 types of Papilionidae families, 6 types of Pieridae families, 28 types of Nympalidae families, 7 types of Lycaenidae families, and 11 types of Hesperiidae families. It is found that Nympalidae family dominates the area while Peiridae is found as the less dominance

    Model of the Influence of Construction Management Components on the Achievement of Road Preservation Quality with Long Segment Schemes on National Roads in West Kalimantan

    West Kalimantan is the fourth largest province after Papua, East Kalimantan, and Central Kalimantan with a land area of 146.807 km². The length of the national roads in this province is 2.117,17 km with road stability rating of 93,88%. The characteristics of construction quality and the contribution of the construction management component to quality achievement need to be identified and analyzed, so that road preservation work can be carried out effectively and efficiently. This study aims to obtain the desired quality characteristics in road preservation with a long segment scheme, as well as the contribution of construction management components to the intended quality achievement. The questionnaire was distributed to stakeholders of National Road network preservation in West Kalimantan Province. Results show that both owners and service providers agree that (1) design accuracy, (2) understanding of method, schedule and design, and (3) quality accuracy are the highest rank components of construction management. Multiple linear regression formulates that X5 – Design and Supervision is the variable with the most impact on quality of road preservation with long segment scheme

    Synthesis of 7-(Hydroxy) Coumarin and Its Activity Test As Antibacterial against Staphylococcus aureus and Shigella flexneri

    A synthesis of 7-(hydroxy)coumarin and its activity as antibacterial against Staphylococcus aureus and Shigella flexneri has been performed. The synthesis of the coumarin was carried out by reacting ethyl acetate and 2,4-dihydroxybenzaldehyde using piperidine as an alkaline catalyst via Knoevenagel reaction and antibacterial activity test was performed using disc diffusion method. The product of 7- (hydroxy)coumarin was obtained as a bright brown crystalline (m.p. 125 °C) with a rendment of 77%. The FTIR spectrum shows the absorption of -OH groups at 3101,54 cm-1 and unsaturated lactone groups at 2345.44 cm-1 which is a typical group of coumarin\u27s derivatives. Analysis using 1H-NMR spectrometer also showed the proton of the -OH group appearing on chemical shift (δ) 9.932 ppm. The antibacterial activity test showed that the compound of 7- (hydroxy) coumarin has the highest activity at 20% concentration as an antibacterial against bacteria Staphylococcus aureus and Shigella flexneri with inhibit zone was 24.55 and 20.43 mm, respectively. It means the 7-(hydroxy) coumarin compound has a strong inhibiting activity
