Sister Monika and anonymous support for mothers and children in need - From stationary support to ambulant support -
Get PDFThe study aims to find out the practice and the biography of Sister Monika and to analyze the social meaning of anonymous support for women in need. Sister Monika, as one of the pioneers of 90's anonymous support and anonymous birth in Germany, established the House for the pregnant and parturient women who need an anonymous support, or mothers and their children in need. This study analyzed the background of the practice of Sister Monika and her team. As a result, it seems that her practice originates in Christianity and the resistance against DDR. The results suggest that Sister Monika not only founded Children House Sunflower, but also showed the possibility of the new way of the ambulant support for the pregnant and parturient women in need.KJ00009791441departmental bulletin pape
A Palynological Study of the Vegetation History of the Boso Hill, Chiba, Japan.
Get PDFIn comparison with other areas, the forest vegetation of the South Chiba Boso Hill is sequentially compressed vertically, and the flora of the Boso area is characterized by a mixture of species derived from a warm temperate zone and a cool temperate zone. In order to examine the historic background of the characteristic vegetation, dating, pollen analysis, and tephra analysis were performed using sediment from the Holocene epoch. In particular, classification focused on Castanopsis - Castanea pollen under SEM and a close inspection of Tsuga pollen under LM. As a result, three phases of change in the forest were determined from ca. 9,000 cal BP to ca. 6,000 cal BP. The first phase was dominated by Pinaceae coniferous and a broad-leaved mixed forest mainly involving the Ulmus, Zelkova and was maintained to ca. 8,500 cal BP. In the second phase, subarctic coniferous trees including Picea and the Tsuga diversifolia were distributed to ca. 7,000 cal BP. In the third phase, there was a decrease in Tsuga dive sifolia, and an increace in temperate T. sieboldii after ca. 6,300 cal BP. At the same time, a Castanopsis forest mainly involving C. cuspidata developed. After that, over ca. 6,000 cal BP, Castanea and evergreen oak increased, and Cryptomeria, a middle temperate forest including T. sieboldii, was established. On the other hand, the local herbaceous vegetation which adapted to the back marsh of the Obitsu River was established intermittently. It was speculated that the geographical conditions of dense valleys among low elevation hills and the accompanying low temperature environment in this area, led to favorable conditions for the growth of a coniferous forest, and led to a stagnation of the distribution expansion of deciduous and evergreen broad-leaved forests and formed the characteristic vegetation compression.KJ00009791443departmental bulletin pape

Revaluation of traditional capital maintenance and IFRS
Get PDFThroughout this article, I boldly insist on three points below. (1) IFRS should establish the objective accounting system, which is opposed to the traditional subjective one. For this purpose, we need to revaluate the assets by objective market price at closing accounts. If there is no market price, it is not asset, such as goodwill. Without recognizing that the traditional accounting goes through the subject theory, there would be no progress on arguments of IFRS. (2) We have to maintain the traditional calculative system for divisible profit, even in the new accounting system. The reason why the traditional accounting system could exist as a social institution comes from suitability for the structure of society. First, the divisible profit, which is calculated through the accounting, has the compatibility for mutual agreement of stakeholders. Second, the real state of capital maintenance, which has been done through a division of that profit, shows excellent function for financial management. We need to take another look at the capital maintenance of traditional accounting precisely again. (3) A state must sets up the professional organization for asset evaluation. From the viewpoint mentioned above, I try to pursue the fundamental future way of IFRS, throughout my career of study on capital maintenance and educational activities.KJ00009791444departmental bulletin pape
