A tecnologia afeta não só o nosso quotidiano, mas também o trabalho, a saúde, as infraestruturas, as empresas, entre outras, modificando até a forma como nos relacionamos.
A ligação das coisas à internet permitiu um maior desenvolvimento e controlo das ocorrências cotidianas, agilizando a vida do cidadão. A inteligência artificial criou uma nova forma de obter respostas, de realizar cálculos e previsões, permitindo a redução de horas de trabalho, estudo e as decisões incorretas.
Os seres humanos estão a ser constantemente sugados por todas estas tecnologias o que afeta, não só a sua vida, mas também a forma de pensar, de julgar, de tomar decisões. A sede por informação transformou-se numa forma aliciante de permissão inconsciente de entrega de dados pessoais.
Face a esta nova realidade, tornou-se crucial encontrar fronteiras de equilíbrio entre o desenvolvimento tecnológico e a proteção dos dados pessoais e dos direitos pessoais com particular atenção ao princípio da privacidade.
Por isso, esta dissertação terá como objetivo principal desenvolver o tema sobre a inteligência artificial e a internet das coisas visto na perspetiva do Direito.
Irei ainda, enunciar algumas questões importantes deste tão vasto tema e, uma vez que, a aderência a estas novas tecnologias é tão incisiva, analisar as implicâncias que as mesmas têm na proteção de dados e na privacidade, retirando destas algumas conclusões.The rapid technological evolution has brought the world together just a click away. The technology affects not only our daily lives, but also work, health, infrastructures, companies, among others, even changing the way we relate to each other.
The connection of things to the internet allowed for better development and control of everyday occurrences, improving the lives of citizens and companies. Artificial intelligence has created a new way of getting answers, making calculations and predictions, allowing the reduction of hours of work, study and incorrect decisions.
Human beings are constantly being sucked into all these technologies, which affects not only their lives, but also their way of thinking, judging, and making decisions. The thirst for information has turned into an attractive form of unconscious permission to hand over personal data.
Faced with this new reality, it has become crucial to find balance between technological development and the protection of personal data and personal rights, with particular attention to the principle of privacy.
Therefore, this dissertation will have as main objective the develop of the theme about artificial intelligence and the internet of things seen from the perspective of Law.
I will also enunciate some important issues of this vast subject, and since the adherence to these new technologies is so incisive, I will analyze the implications that these technologies have on data protection and privacy, drawing some conclusions from these
O papel da responsabilidade social na tomada de decisão de compra do jovem consumidor
Get PDFMestrado em GestãoExame Público realizado em 27 de outubro de 2023Este estudo tem como principais objetivos identificar a presença da Responsabilidade Social nas empresas, nos trabalhadores e nos consumidores, de forma a compreender qual a perceção que os jovens consumidores têm, relativamente à Responsabilidade Social. Identificar e categorizar, que tipos de consumidores jovens predominam, no que se refere à preocupação com a Responsabilidade Social e analisar, de que forma, o conhecimento acerca das práticas empresariais socialmente responsáveis, pelos jovens consumidores, tem impacto no processo da tomada de decisão de compra. Em suma, compreender a presença da Responsabilidade Social e qual a sua influência no comportamento do consumidor. Assim, foi realizada uma revisão de literatura centrada no tema da Responsabilidade Social, bem como no comportamento do consumidor e ainda no valor e na presença das marcas para os consumidores.
Recorreu-se a uma pesquisa quantitativa e uma amostragem não probabilística por conveniência, com recurso ao inquérito por questionário online, obtendo-se uma amostra válida de 307 inquiridos, de forma a compreender e a responder aos pontos anteriormente referidos.
Através da realização desta dissertação, foi possível concluir que a grande maioria dos inquiridos tem presente o conceito de Responsabilidade Social, consideram o mesmo como muito importante e revelam ainda que este tem impacto na tomada de decisão de compra, enquanto consumidores.

Identify and categorize which types of young consumers predominate in terms of concern for Social Responsibility and analyze how knowledge about socially responsible business practices among young consumers impacts the purchase decisionmaking process. In summary, understand the presence of Social Responsibility and its influence on consumer behavior. Therefore, a literature review focused on the theme of Social Responsibility, as well as consumer behavior and the value and presence of brands for consumers was carried out.
A quantitative research and a non-probabilistic convenience sampling were carried out using an online questionnaire, obtaining a valid sample of 307 respondents, in order to understand and respond to the aforementioned points.
Through the completion of this dissertation, it was possible to conclude that the majority of respondents are aware of the concept of Social Responsibility, consider it very important, and reveal that it impacts their purchase decision-making as consumers.

A intervenção do Fundo de Garantia de Alimentos Devidos a menores com fundamento na falta de pagamento pelo progenitor da prestação alimentícia fixada
Get PDFDissertação de mestrado em Direito, área Jurídico-CivilísticasExame público realizado em 6 de maio de 2024, às 16h30A prestação de alimentos devidos a menores sucede das responsabilidades parentais, que determina a competência dos progenitores em zelar pela segurança, saúde, sustento, educação, representação e administração de bens dos filhos, a fim de assegurar a dignidade e subsistência dos menores. Por consequência, o não cumprimento da obrigação alimentar por um dos pais, reflete negativamente no superior interesse do menor.
Pretende-se evidenciar e analisar as perspectivas e particularidades intrínsecas à regulação das responsabilidades parentais e expor como os Tribunais portugueses determinam as decisões de acordo com a legislação em vigor.
Posteriormente, em caso de incumprimento da obrigação, por meio da violação de um acordo ou sentença proferida pelo Tribunal das responsabilidades parentais em relação aos alimentos, cabe uma ação de incumprimento. Caso esta ação seja reconhecida, deve-se haver o pagamento. Não sendo efetuado o pagamento, são demonstradas as medidas cabíveis, capazes de garantir a obrigação de alimentos a favor dos filhos menores.
Diante das medidas, recorre-se às cobranças transfronteiriças que são requeridas por meio de uma cooperação jurídica internacional, a qual possui como intermediárias as autoridades centrais responsáveis de cada Estado Membro da União Europeia. Assim, refere-se ao credor ou devedor que esteja a residir no estrangeiro.
Nas circunstâncias em que todos os mecanismos não forem suficientes, o Estado com a finalidade de suprir as necessidades de subsistência do menor, intervém com o Fundo de Garantia de Alimentos Devidos a Menores, desde que preenchidos os requisitos legais para que possa beneficiar o menor por meio da prestação social. E aqui se verifica o caso em que o progenitor que detém a guarda do menor, não consegue a assistência do Fundo de Garantia e precisa arcar com todo sustento.The provision of maintenance due to minors follows parental responsibilities, which determines the competence of parents to ensure the safety, health, livelihood, education, representation and administration of their children's assets, in order to ensure the dignity and subsistence of minors. Consequently, failure to comply with the maintenance obligation by one of the parents reflects negatively on the best interests of the minor.
It is intended to highlight and analyze the perspectives and particularities intrinsic to the regulation of parental responsibilities and expose how the Portuguese Courts determine decisions in accordance with the legislation in force.
Subsequently, in the event of non-compliance with the obligation, through violation of an agreement or judgment issued by the Court of parental responsibilities in relation to maintenance, an action for non-compliance may be filed. If this action is recognized, payment must be made. If the payment is not made, the appropriate measures are demonstrated, capable of guaranteeing the maintenance obligation in favor of the minor children.
In view of the measures, cross-border collections are required through international legal cooperation, which has as intermediaries the responsible central authorities of each Member State of the European Union. Thus, it refers to the creditor or debtor residing abroad.
In circumstances where all the mechanisms are not sufficient, the State, in order to meet the subsistence needs of the minor, intervenes with the Guarantee Fund for Maintenance Due to Minors, provided that the legal requirements are fulfilled so that it can benefit the minor for means of social provision. And here is the case where the parent who has custody of the minor, does not get assistance from the Guarantee Fund and needs to pay for all support
Do passado ao presente : musicoterapia com crianças e jovens em lar de acolhimento
Get PDFRelatório de estágio realizado no âmbito do mestrado em Musicoterapia, Universidade Lusíada de Lisboa, 2023.Exame público realizado em 8 de Fevereiro de 2024.Do ponto de vista desenvolvimental, a música tem um papel importante na formação de competências relacionais, na expressão de afetos e sentimentos e na promoção da criatividade e expressividade. Consequentemente, a musicoterapia torna-se importante para ajudar crianças e jovens em risco, pois estas apresentam dificuldades a nível da expressão emocional e verbal. O presente relatório descreve o estágio de Musicoterapia desenvolvido no âmbito do curso de Mestrado em Musicoterapia da Universidade Lusíada de Lisboa e pretende demostrar a importância da intervenção em musicoterapia com esta população. A intervenção ocorreu ao longo de 8 meses na casa de acolhimento residencial Lar Santa Isabel, em Leiria, e foi dirigida a quinze utentes, distribuídas em seis intervenções individuais e dois grupos um com cinco jovens e outro com quatro utentes. Findas as intervenções, apresenta-se neste relatório uma reflexão mais aprofundada e detalhada sobre dois casos individuais. Os resultados desta intervenção são positivos, tendo-se manifestado os sinais de mudança no setting terapêutico, mais do que em contexto social. Por isso, denota-se a importância de uma intervenção de musicoterapia mais prolongada e em articulação com os demais profissionais envolvidos.From a developmental point of view, music plays an important role in the formation of relational skills, in the expression of affections and feelings and in the promotion of creativity and expressiveness. Consequently, music therapy becomes important to help children and young people at risk, as they have difficulties in emotional and verbal expression. This report describes the Music Therapy internship developed within the scope of the Master's Degree in Music Therapy at Universidade Lusíada de Lisboa and aims to demonstrate the importance of music therapy intervention with this population. The intervention took place over 8 months in the residential care home Lar Santa Isabel, in Leiria, and was directed to fifteen users, distributed in six individual interventions and two groups one with five young people and another with four users. After the interventions, this report presents a more in-depth and detailed reflection on two individual cases. The results of this intervention are positive, with signs of change having been manifested in the therapeutic setting, rather than in the social context. Therefore, the importance of a longer music therapy intervention and in conjunction with the other professionals involved is highlighted
Automated warehouse implementation study applied to boat industry

The success of a company depends not only on the ability to adapt to market demands, but also, on the efficiency of the practices implemented. In this way, the increase of the productivity in storage operations results on the improvement of the company's logistical processes, giving it a competitive advantage. In this context, this study emerged to reformulate the management of the production support warehouse on a recreational boat builder company (BME), analysing the advantages and/or disadvantages of the implementation of an automated warehouse in substitution of the existing manual warehouse system. Picking times between the different warehouse types as well as the percentage of losses of small parts have been tested. These parts could be stored in an automatic storage system. From this study, important conclusions were drawn for the company’s practical work in terms of warehouseproduction support and layout organization. The automatic storage system seems essential for the company to compete in a market that increasingly requires fast and error-free strategies. The results showed that investment needed to implement the automated vertical storage systems is around 45000€ and, based on the company data, considering only 8% of occupancy, the investment will be recovered on 6 years, considering only the reduction of losses. Also, the picking time reduces about 97%, from 926 seconds to 26 seconds (for the same number of pieces moved)
A simulation algorithm for optimization of mixture design applied to the assignment of weights in a goal programming problem

Thus, mixture design is a method for designing experiments which considers that the result does not depend on the total amount but on the proportions of the components. Mixture design techniques are often applied to problems in food, beverage, pharmaceutical health, and cement-based materials, among others, and one may also use them to help solve multi-objective problems when the weights of the objective function components can interfere with the optimization process. Therefore, given the relevance of studies on mixture planning and the increasing use of methods and techniques to consider uncertainty, the objective of this study is to propose an approach to deal with uncertainties in the coefficients of polynomial objective functions for the optimization of mixture design problem considering optimization via Monte Carlo Simulation. Computational tests were made using R software with instances from a literature study on a waste paper recycling logistics problem where the assignment of model weights is part of the process. Comparing the results to those obtained using the General Algebraic Modeling System language and CPLEX solver, they showed that considering uncertainty in the coefficients of objective function assisted in minimizing the difference between the obtained results, allowing for improvement in the representation of several scenarios. The developed approach also provided solution possibilities to help choose the best weights to optimize goal programming problems
O contrato de empreitada : os defeitos da obra e a responsabilidade do empreiteiro

Sendo esta uma das questões mais relevantes e que maior discussão tem gerado no seio de um contrato desta natureza, é fundamental compreender como serão ultrapassadas estas situações pelas partes.
Para o efeito, e partindo-se de uma detalhada análise doutrinal acompanhada da devida jurisprudência, começar-se-á por caracterizar o contrato de empreitada, onde, de entre outros aspetos, se abordará a noção de contrato de empreitada, os seus elementos essenciais, as suas características e os sujeitos intervenientes neste contrato.
Num segundo momento analisar-se-á aqueles que são os direitos e deveres das partes advindos da celebração de um contrato desta natureza. Procurando-se perceber de que maneira a violação desses direitos e deveres será pertinente para o presente estudo.
Por fim, e chegando-se ao cerne da problemática, abordar-se-á a questão da responsabilidade do empreiteiro, os tipos de defeitos que a obra poderá apresentar, a denúncia dos defeitos, os meios de reação de que goza o dono da obra, a sua caducidade e ainda o regime específico que prevê o nosso Código Civil para os defeitos em empreitadas em imóveis de longa duração.
Será percorrendo-se este caminho que se conseguirá compreender todas as questões que envolvem o cumprimento defeituoso do contrato de empreitada, de que maneira será o empreiteiro responsável e como poderá o dono da obra reagir nestas situações.The main objective of this master's thesis relates to the intention of studying the works contract’s framework, focusing on its defective fulfilment. Moreover, being this one of the most relevant issues, which has generated discussion in the midst of a contract of this nature, it is crucial to understand how these situations will be overcome by the parties.
Therefore, to meet these goals, one’s work stems from a detailed doctrinal analysis followed by the appropriate case law. Initially, the works contract´s will be characterised, as well as its essential elements, its features and the parties involved in the contract.
The rights and duties of the parties arising from the conclusion of a contract of this nature will likewise be analysed, thus trying to understand how the violation of such rights and duties is relevant to this study.
Finally, the issue of the contractor's liability will be addressed, as will the types of defects that the work may present, the reporting of defects, the resources available to the work’s owner and their termination, and the specific regime provided in the Portuguese Civil Code for defects in long-term building contracts.
Thereby, following this path will lead to an understanding of all the issues surrounding the defective fulfilment of the works contract´s, how the contractor is liable and how the work’s owner can respond upon these situations
Contributos para a renovação da certificação de sistemas normalizados de gestão : estudo de caso : empresa do grupo Proef
Get PDFMestrado em Engenharia e Gestão IndustrialExame público realizado em 23 de janeiro de 2024Nas organizações, a Gestão pela Qualidade, a preocupação com a proteção e promoção do meio Ambiente, assim como com a Segurança e Saúde das pessoas, incentivam a implementação de Sistemas normalizados de Gestão.
O principal objetivo da Investigação, suportada na Metodologia - “Ciclo Investigação-Ação”-, e cuja estratégia e métodos tiveram em conta o Estudo de Caso, foi assegurar a renovação da Certificação do Sistema Integrado de Gestão da Qualidade, do Ambiente e da Segurança e Saúde no Trabalho, de acordo com as normas NP EN ISO 9001:2015; NP EN 14001:2015 e NP ISO 45001:2019, respetivamente, no Grupo Proef o qual desenvolve as suas atividades de negócio nos Setores das Telecomunicações e das Energias.
Para o efeito procedeu-se, numa primeira fase, à realização de um diagnóstico para caraterizar a situação inicial da Empresa relativamente aos requisitos das referidas normas. Seguiu-se um plano de ações e a consequente realização de uma Auditoria interna a qual precedeu a Auditoria da Entidade certificadora para renovação da Certificação do Sistema Integrado de Gestão. O Estudo de Caso tem como fundamentação teórica um número relevante de fontes credíveis de conhecimento.
Dos principais resultados, relativos ao propósito desta Investigação, releva-se: (i) o facto de o principal objetivo ter sido totalmente alcançado; e (ii) o facto de não terem sido identificadas Não Conformidades na Auditoria para renovação da Certificação o que, por si só, permite-nos considerar terem sido bem sucedidas, eficazes e de todo úteis para o Grupo Proef, as ações levadas a efeito em cada fase do desenvolvimento do trabalho de Investigação-Ação a que se refere a presente Dissertação.

The main objective of the investigation, supported by the methodology "Investigation-Action Cycle," and whose strategy and methods took into account the Case Study, was to ensure the renewal of the Certification of the Integrated Management System for Quality, Environment, and Occupational Health and Safety, in accordance with the standards NP EN ISO 9001:2015, NP EN 14001:2015, and NP ISO 45001:2019, respectively, within the Proef Group, which operates in the Telecommunications and Energy sectors.
To accomplish this, in a first stage, a diagnosis was carried out to characterize the initial situation of the Company regarding the requirements of the mentioned standards. This was followed by an action plan and the subsequent conduct of an internal audit, which preceded the Certifying Entity audit for the renewal of the Integrated Management System Certification. The Case Study is based on a significant number of credible sources of knowledge.
From the main results related to the purpose of this investigation, the following are highlighted: (i) the fact that the main objective has been fully achieved, and (ii) the fact that no Non-conformities were identified in the Audit for the renewal of Certification, which by itself, allows us to consider that the actions taken at each stage of the development of the Investigation-Action work, as outlined in this Dissertation, were successful, effective, and highly useful for the Proef Group.
