This study interrogated the phenomenon of organizational staff retention strategies available in workplaces, with a particular focus on how retention can positively impact the performance and profitability of an organization, the causes of employee turnover and the impact of staff turnover on customer service and organizational success. The study was carried out in selected special education schools in California and Texas in the United States of America. The study utilized the qualitative research methodology approach, with a case study being selected as the research design. By adopting a qualitative research approach, the aim of the study was to unpack the causes and impact of staff turnover in special education schools and to propose a model in which organizations can eradicate the staff turnover drawback in order to ensure sufficient and reliable increased staff retention. The population included the newly hired staff, special education teachers and program directors in California and Texas in the United States of America. A snowball sampling technique was used to select participants because it enables access to respondents who are difficult to reach via conventional methods. Data were collected through semi-structured online interviews and document analysis. Findings pointed out that staff turnover was destructive and negatively impacted customer service and organizational success. Staff retention strategies found included the ability to perceive meaning and adapt to change at the onset to de-escalate staff turnover, an environment that encourages innovation and limitless potential for personal and professional satisfaction and growth. The study recommends the development and implementation of the Landing Mattress Model in special education schools to cushion, absorb, and support the integration of the new employee into an organization that benefits all facets of organizational human capital.  Article visualizations

The legal and institutional limitations relating to the protection and social inclusion of women in vulnerable situations in Morocco are reflected in the inadequacies of the existing regulatory framework, marked by a partial repressive approach and the absence of integrated prevention, protection, and care mechanisms. The lack of coordination between the relevant institutions and the weakness of support mechanisms reduces the effectiveness of public policies. Persistent inequalities in access to justice and social services are more pronounced in rural than urban areas. A comprehensive and coherent reform, aligned with international standards such as CEDAW and the Istanbul Convention, is therefore necessary to guarantee vulnerable women effective protection and equitable social justice. Efforts must be made to promote the inclusion of women in precarious situations in Morocco through the adoption of a framework law on social inclusion and the creation of a national observatory for social inclusion.  Article visualizations

LIVED EXPERIENCES OF STUDENT-PARENTS IN PASSING THE CRIMINOLOGIST LICENSURE EXAMINATION: AN APPLICATION OF ACHIEVEMENT MOTIVATION THEORY

Student-parents often face greater challenges in both parenting and schooling compared to traditional students. Their experiences worsened during the COVID-19 pandemic, as they had to juggle remote learning, childcare, and household responsibilities, often without adequate support. This qualitative study aimed to explore the experiences, coping strategies, and insights of student-parents in passing the Criminology Licensure Examination (CLE). This study collected data from five (5) student-parents who successfully passed the CLE through in-depth interviews. The gathered data were analyzed using thematic analysis. Results revealed that student-parents faced significant challenges during their CLE preparation, including inconsistent review schedules, difficulties balancing their responsibilities, financial struggles, mental health concerns, and challenges in applying for the exam. Despite these obstacles, they managed to cope through faith in God, strong support systems, and a positive attitude. They also emphasized the importance of having a positive mindset, striving for academic growth, and strengthening one's faith in preparation for the licensure exam. The study's findings suggest that administrators and teachers play a crucial role in fostering the academic growth of their students, ensuring they are well-equipped and prepared to take their licensure examinations.SDG Indicator #4: (Quality Education)  Article visualizations

AUDIT QUALITY, CORPORATE ATTRIBUTES AND VALUE CREATION OF FOOD PROCESSING COMPANIES IN CAMEROON

This study aims to examine the mediating effect of corporate attributes on the association between audit quality and value creation of food processing companies in Cameroon. An ex-post facto research design was adopted, and data collected from secondary sources were analysed through a structural equation modelling approach with the aid of a partial least squares technique. The study revealed that corporate attributes significantly mediate the relationship between audit quality and value creation. It concludes that the individual factors of audit quality are mutually exclusive, as they all have a significant effect on the value creation components. Corporate attributes are also very pertinent to enhance value creation. Audit quality can be relied upon as a very strong factor in enhancing the level of value creation. The study also concludes that corporate attributes partially mediate the relationship between audit quality and value creation of food processing companies in Cameroon. The study recommends that auditors should be given subsequent opportunities for any audit assignment, as this will enable them to discover inadvertent errors, thereby improving the quality of the audit. This gives room for more risk assessment as the audit members with accounting and finance knowledge have proven antecedents for better risk evaluation, asset management for a more effective and efficient operational performance.

Special attention is paid to the advantages of these methods, such as reducing operating costs, automating management decisions, and improving forecast accuracy. Obstacles to their implementation are being explored, such as limited resources, difficulties integrating predictive models into business processes, and data security issues. JEL: C45, C53, L25, L86  Article visualizations

IMPACT OF SWIFT TRANSACTIONS ON THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT OF MOROCCO

The modernization of payment systems – the global SWIFT (Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication) network is generally regarded as an enabler of financial integration and economic growth. This paper offers a test of the impact of digitalization of the financial sector via SWIFT on the economic development of Morocco, looking at channels such as international trade, foreign direct investment (FDI) and productive capital investment. We employ annual data from the period 2000-2023 and perform stationarity tests and Granger causality analysis in this paper, then estimate a multiple regression model by the Ordinary Least Squares (OLS) method and a two-stage least squares (2SLS) model to treat the potential endogeneity of the SWIFT variable. The results show that more SWIFT transaction is related to higher GDP, but the effect is positive yet small and depends on the economic sector and the quality of investment. The trade openness has a mixed relationship with growth (including negative effects at some points), and FDI inflows have a limited contribution to GDP growth. These findings indicate that the digitalization of transactions through SWIFT can improve the effectiveness and robustness of the financial sector, but it must be supported by policies that enhance export competitiveness and direct investments towards sustainable economic development. JEL: F36, O11, O33, F14, F21  Article visualizations

THE IMPACT OF STRESS ON EMPLOYEE PRODUCTIVITY: EVIDENCE FROM THE OIL AND GAS INDUSTRY IN LIBYA AND THE UK

This article elaborated a comprehensive data-driven analysis on the impact of work-related stress on employee productivity. It critically examined workplace stress as an incompatibility between job demands, environmental factors, and employee coping resources, considering that while moderate stress could enhance performance, uncontrolled stress resulted in negative consequences for both employees and organizations. The study employed a quantitative research design to explore the broad scope of workplace stress, including the influence of other key factors such as family responsibilities and income level. Statistical analysis, including correlation and regression techniques, disclosed a significant negative relationship between workload stress and employee productivity. The findings indicated that stress accounted for an extensive 46.5% of the variance in productivity, supporting the hypothesis that higher stress levels had an undesirable impact on employee productivity. The article concluded with a recommendation that states organizations should implement comprehensive stress management programs. Specifically, companies should have developed multi-faceted techniques and interventions to address workplace stress in order to support employee well-being and enhance overall organizational productivity.  Article visualizations
