    Driving Through Crisis: A Comparative Analysis of Road Accidents Before, During, and After the Pandemi

    The COVID-19 pandemic has triggered unprecedented changes worldwide, influencing various facets of daily life. This study focuses on the state of Connecticut, conducting a meticulous analysis of road accidents to discern patterns and trends before, during, and after the pandemic. Leveraging comprehensive datasets from the Connecticut Department of Transportation, we employ statistical methodologies to unveil the dynamics shaping road safety in the face of the crisis. Our study was done using the R programming language and it identifies intriguing shifts in accident rates over the studied periods. Contrary to conventional expectations of decreased traffic leading to safer roads during lockdowns, our findings indicate a nuanced relationship. We explore three factors: frequency of accidents, spatial distribution of accidents in the different towns and the severity of the accidents. By incorporating real-world facts and figures, this study provides a granular understanding of how the pandemic has influenced road safety in the state

    Rowing is a sport that requires the use of the entirety of the body for each stroke, with a large portion of the movement coming from the lower body. Because each stroke occurs rapidly, lower body power is essential to achieve high performance. This exercise program was written up with the intention of increasing the lower body power of the Sacred Heart University women’s rowing team. Vertical jumps are a common activity to assess lower body power, so an increase in vertical jump height would mean an increase in lower body power. Through the use ofplyometrics and other lower body movements, the athletes aimed to better their jump height and power

She is a healthy 59-year-old who isn\u27t very active but takes daily walks on her lunch and does free weight exercises for about 20 minutes every morning.     Given the task of developing a unique line with clear inspiration and realistic expectations of markets, Floral Renaissance for Moschino was born. Inspired by oil paintings of the Renaissance Era and the fluidity of ballet attire, the line was intended not only to be a work of art but to frame its possessor as one. Moschino, a brand known for its experimental taste in fashion, would present this line in the Autumn/Winter season of 2025 for Women\u27s apparel and debut specifically on the runway. Outlined within the presentation are sales channels, pricing, design, history, and more. With Professor Loranger\u27s guidance, Floral Renaissance developed from an idea to a strong piece of work proudly presented at Sacred Heart University\u27s 2024 Academic Festival

    Investigating the Relationshp Between Self-Affirmation, Defensiveness, and Narcissistic Traits

    The current study was designed to test the effect of selfaffirmation on defensive responses to a hypothetical threat among people high in narcissistic personality traits. Self-affirmation refers to thinking about and expressing one’s core values in life and has been shown to produce myriad benefits, including reduced stress, increased self-esteem, and decreased defensiveness in response to threats (for a review, see Cohen & Sherman, 2014). Previous research has found that grandiose narcissism is related to negative emotional responses to achievement threats whereas vulnerable narcissism is related to more negative emotional responses to interpersonal threats (Besser & Priel, 2010). Hypothesis 1: Grandiose and vulnerable narcissism will be positively related to defensive responding. Hypothesis 2: Self-affirmation will reduce defensiveness in those high in vulnerable narcissism but not those high in grandiose narcissism
