Get PDFThis paper focuses on China's approach to Nicaragua and Honduras who have both decided to form diplomatic elations with them and move away from relations with Taiwan.
It explores the differences between the two countries from an economic, diplomatic, cultural and security perspective. From all of these perspectives, China has had a positive approach toward the Ortega regime which shares its own political and ideological predilection for strong-arm rule and an anti-American spirit. A further strengthening and development of bilateral relations is thus expected in the future. This is not only because of the Ortega regime's iplomatic strategy, which is desirable for China, but also because of the anti-Chinese public sentiment. By contrast, the diplomatic relationship with Honduras is still in its early days and it would seem that China prefers to develop this relationship in a more measured gradual fashion owing to the uncertainties of Honduras' new foreign policy and its historical background as a pro-U.S. nation. One point that has became clear throughout the research is the precision of Chinese strategy. They cautiously review these countries' domestic and foreign policies and the circumstances urrounding them whilst also carefully monitoring their domestic sentiment towards China and the future political prospects of the regime in power at the time

Get PDFThis paper describes the results of a class practice of creating dictionaries for learners of the Japanese language to develop Japanese language teacher training skills. The two research questions are as follows:
1. Can students recognize the complex vocabulary system of synonyms and polysemous words and write a dictionary?
2. What kind of insights do students gain and how do they revise their lexicons based on the comments they receive in the peer activities?
As a result, we found the following two things.
1. Students notice the existence of synonyms and polysemy before revising, but it is difficult for them to write discriminative meanings as word senses.
2. With appropriate comments, students will be able to systematically grasp the meaning of words and write discriminative meanings
