A note on a mathematical model for general boundary input/output systems

    Get PDF
The present author has been discussed about mathematical models for general boundary input systems in [10, 15, 17-23] and about outputs from general boundary input systems in [9, 13, 14]. In this report, we will study three points. The first study point is to reconstruct the previous theory for general boundary input systems, in order to admit input operators for the systems. The Second study point is to unify the above two discussions and to introduce a mathematical model for general boundary input/output systems. The third study point is to investigate distributed input/output systems equivalent to general boundary input/output systems.departmental bulletin pape

A Differential-Geometrical Theory of Binocular Visual Space

    Get PDF
The binocular visual space (BVS), that is, the space perceived by our binocular vision, is treated in the Riemannian geometrical framework. By introducing appropriately parametrized fundamental metric into the BVS, various non-Euclidean phenomena are unifyingly interpreted.departmental bulletin pape

Application and evaluation of a three-dimensional shipbuilding system

    Get PDF
This paper discusses the application and evaluation of a shipbuilcling system using three dimensional product data which is the core of the CIM (Computer Integrated Manufacturing) system. At first, general concept is stated comparing the current system using two-dimensional data, and next, some examples of successful application the using three-dimensional system in a shipyard are introduced. The three-dimensional system of shipbuilding is now an essential tool to carry out advanced design and production, and in the near future the shipbuilding industry is expected to be a modern industry by full application of the system.departmental bulletin pape

Estimations of distance, time and speed for locomotion in a virtual route

    No full text
Using virtual routes that were projected in CAVE with 5 screens, we examined memory of distance, time and speed between a start point and a goal point. Our previous study showed that there was a strong interaction between densities of surrounding objects and simulated distances. As distances are calculated by speed × time geometrically, estimations for speed and time may also be influenced by the density of surrounding objects. Our results indicated that all estimations were affected by the density. However, the interaction between density and distance was significant in only distance estimations. we concluded that the distance estimation system has specific features, compared with the other two estimation systems.departmental bulletin pape

The simulation table for high bar exercises

    Get PDF
We propose a simulation table or an input editing table for high bar exercises. First, the table image is shown. Second, the necessary data strctures and functions of the table are discussed. Third, C++ visual programming is shown in detail. In conclusion, we proposed and programmed the simulation table. We validated that it worked as expected.departmental bulletin pape

Construction of thin client computer system using OSS

    Get PDF
The administrators of a computer system are interested in the thin client compter system. This system has the advantage of very low Total Cost Ownership. However, the initial cost is high because application softwere for thin client system is necessary. We constructed the environment for the thin client computer using Open Source Softwere. Users operate the Microsoft Windows Operating System (OS) on the thin client computer. This paper describes the boot-up sequence and boot-up time of Windows OS in the environment.departmental bulletin pape

Experimental results and model simulation of the non-fall top

    Get PDF
The ordinary top spins for about 10 minutes. The spinning duration of the non-fall top is prolonged to more than 100 minutes in a vacuum, because friction loss due to air viscosity is reduced and the friction at fulcrum of the top's stem is mainly responsible for spinning loss. This paper introduces experimental results of non-fall tops and simulation using a simplified model.departmental bulletin pape
