New Assessment Model of Financing Treatment of Patients with Complete Tooth Loss
According to the World Health Organization, the global prevalence of complete tooth loss is estimated to be 7% among individuals aged 20 years and older, while for those aged 60 and over, this rate significantly increases to 23%. This study is relevant due to the psychological trauma, social challenges, and functional limitations caused by tooth loss, as well as the uneven availability of dental care worldwide. The goal of this research is to develop and implement a new model to assess the socioeconomic feasibility of investing in digital technologies for diagnosing and treating patients with complete tooth loss using removable polymer prostheses produced through additive 3D printing. The study employs scenario analysis, the clustered rankings coordination method, statistical methods, expert opinion assessment using Kendall's coefficient of rank concordance, system analysis and design, questionnaires, sociometry, and functional modeling. The practical significance of this research lies in providing a quantitative assessment of economic opportunities for effectively using RPDs in three groups: RPDs without additional fixation means; those with special adhesive agents for improved fixation; and implant-supported prosthetics with conditionally removable dentures similar to RPDs. Performance Optimization of Step-Like Divergence Plenum Air-Cooled Li-Ion Battery Thermal Management System Using Variable-Step-Height Configuration
Several studies on air-cooled battery thermal management systems (BTMSs) have shown that improvement can be achieved through redesign of the BTMSs. Recent studies have achieved improvements in managing the temperature in the system, but mostly with an increase in pressure drop. It is therefore imperative to carry out an extended study or redesign of the existing designs to overcome these challenges. In this work, a standard Z-type BTMS, which has a flat divergence plenum, was redesigned to have a step-like divergence plenum of variable step height. Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) approach was adopted to investigate the thermal and airflow performance of the BTMSs. The CFD methodology was validated by comparing its results with experimental data in the literature. Various step height configurations were considered for 3-step and 4-step models. Findings from the result revealed that the variable step height design enhances the cooling performance of the battery pack. For instance, a 3-step model with step heights of 3, 6, and 6 mm offered the least pressure drop and maximum temperature difference, and when compared with the model with a constant step height of 5, 5, and 5 mm, it yielded reductions of 3.4% and 21.6%, respectively. By increasing the inlet airflow velocity, the 4-step cases generally improved. The best cooling improvement was seen in case 26 at velocities over 3.7 m/s for maximum temperature and velocities over 4.8 m/s for maximum temperature difference. Fiber Optic Breakthrough: Terahertz Detection of Illegal Drugs
The article presents an illegal drug detector that utilizes photonic crystal fiber (PCF). The fiber structure of the H-PCF comprises a dodecagonal core and circular air gaps in cladding areas. We have analyzed the designed terahertz (THz) frequency range utilizing the Finite Element Method (FEM) and the COMSOL Multiphysics application. The revised design has a high sensitivity in detecting amphetamine (n = 1.518) and cocaine (n = 1.5022) at a frequency of 3 THz, via detection rates of 99.43% and 99.20%, correspondingly. Furthermore, the suggested fiber, which operates at a frequency of 3 THz, has a relatively tiny confinement loss of 4.93í—10-08 dB/m and 6.16í—10-09 dB/m and a minimal effective material loss of construction of 0.0032 cm-1. In conclusion, it may be stated that drug misuse not only leads to immediate repercussions but also has severe and enduring impacts on human health, potentially resulting in fatality. Strategies for Pedagogical Interventions to Develop Emotional Intelligence (EI) of Employees in a Hybrid Work Schedule
The purpose of the research article is to identify the educational methods suitable for developing employee emotional intelligence. The focus was on the number of hours that small and medium sized enterprises are willing to invest in training their employees in emotional intelligence and on the benefits, i.e., changes in work outcomes as evaluated by respondents. The questionnaire method and interviews were used to obtain data from respondents, line managers, and education managers. Based on correlation coefficient calculations, brainstorming was identified as a frequently used method of active learning, which is related to the physical presence in the learning premises. The analysis of the responses of the respondents and their calculation using the correlation coefficient surprisingly showed that the lecture method gained great support and was considered by the respondents, i.e., managers and education managers, as very important to achieve the cognitive, affective, and psychomotor goals of education. Generative Artificial Intelligence and Web Accessibility: Towards an Inclusive and Sustainable Future
This study examines the accessibility of Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools for people with disabilities, using WCAG 2.2 success criteria as a reference. Significant accessibility issues were identified in the evaluated applications, highlighting barriers mainly affecting disabled users. Integrating accessibility considerations from the beginning of application development and adopting a proactive approach are emphasized. Although challenges are faced, such as the shortage of inclusive training data and opacity in AI decision-making, the need to continue addressing various aspects of accessibility in the field of generative AI tools is acknowledged. These efforts are based on regulatory compliance and ethical principles to ensure equal societal participation, regardless of individual abilities. The fundamental role of accessibility in realizing this vision is highlighted, aligning with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly those related to equality, education, innovation, and inclusion. Modelling School Zone Border as Rich Modelling Problem for Secondary School Students
This article explores the potential of using the school zoning problem in Indonesia as a vehicle for teaching mathematical modeling to secondary school students. This problem is highly suitable for students as a modeling challenge because it is (i) contextual, (ii) rich, (iii) challenging, and (iv) within students' Zone of Proximal Development (ZPD). School zoning involves a concept called Voronoi, essentially a partitioning problem. For simpler or special-case problems, these partitions can be created using concepts already taught in secondary schools, such as perpendicular bisectors and radical axes. However, for more complex problems with multiple sites, an algorithm is required, which involves advanced mathematical concepts beyond the typical secondary curriculum. Yet, with the rise of visual programming languages like Scratch, Snap!, StarLogo, and TurboWarp, it becomes possible to tackle these partitioning challenges using coding and only basic mathematical principles. This approach not only enhances students' understanding of foundational mathematical concepts but also fosters the integration of computational thinking and coding within mathematics. The pursuit of success in one's chosen profession is a universal aspiration that requires individuals to engage in competition, not just domestically but also internationally, particularly in today's era of globalization. The rapid advancement of technology presents both opportunities and challenges, necessitating proactive management to achieve professional success. In the field of Informatics Engineering, there is a wide range of professional pathways, each offering unique opportunities and requiring distinct skill sets. For university graduates, it is crucial to have a comprehensive understanding of the specific requirements and demands associated with various job paths to make informed decisions. This knowledge enables them to select a professional route that aligns with their individual aspirations and goals, thereby avoiding potential discontent in their chosen career. Lack of knowledge or awareness during the decision-making process can negatively impact productivity and overall performance. There is a growing demand among university graduates, especially at the undergraduate level, for career-related information. This has led to heightened competition among graduates in terms of skills, knowledge, and availability. To effectively navigate this competitive landscape and engage in meaningful competition with fellow graduates, individuals must possess a comprehensive understanding of their desired career trajectory. To address these challenges, the Decision Support Model (MPK) can be utilized, employing the Fuzzy Analytical Hierarchy Process methodology. This approach considers four primary criteria”Financial Compensation, Non-Financial Compensation, Soft Skills, and Hard Skills”each with several sub-criteria. These criteria are evaluated based on the perspectives of certified graduates of Informatics Engineering and industry specialists. The Influence of Factors on the Demand for Performance Auditing in the Public Sector
Performance audits (PA) are becoming essential in supreme audit institutions (SAIs). This study aims to explain why developing countries need to expand the function of PA and to explore and measure the impact of each factor on the need to develop PA in Vietnam. The research combines qualitative (group discussion) and quantitative methods by surveying 157 state auditors of the State Audit of Vietnam (SAV). Data is processed through SmartPLS 4.0.8.5 to verify the measurement and linear structure models. The results of the statistical analysis also show that all three factors have an impact on the development of PA, including (i) the degree of public governance reform, (ii) the accountability of SAV, and (iii) occupational influence. Besides, the model test results show that, from the perspective of SAV, the need to improve performance is higher than accountability. Public governance reform factors, external support, and SAI accountability contribute to enhancing the value of PA. The findings of this study complement the audit theory on three fronts: (i) PA will become more important when pursuing the goal of increasing accountability rather than improving performance; (ii) PA continues to evolve to adapt to social changes; and (iii) additional empirical evidence demonstrating that countries with low levels of transparency and accountability and inconsistent legal systems have higher audit "demand” but low supply of PA. This study proposes a PA development model to: (i) forecast the ability and level of the development audit of each SAI; and (ii) contribute to enhancing the value of PA using the PA topic selection tool. In addition, the developed scale is tested to ensure its reliability and validity. Continuous Integration of Risk Management in a Business Process Reengineering: Towards Optimization through Machine Learning
To improve their market position and competitiveness, organizations aim to shorten production times, cut costs, and boost the quality and variety of their products. While Business Process Reengineering (BPR) is a good method to achieve these goals, implementing it can be risky: any change to a task in the initial process directly affects the final process's performance in terms of time, cost, and quality. This article, drawing on design science, a literature review, and a field study with responses from executives and managers of two companies in the aerospace and automotive sectors in Morocco to measure their satisfaction and identify their risk management needs, provides an overview of the BPR method, its implementation frameworks and methodologies, and explains the importance of risk management in such projects. It suggests an improved continuous risk management process for BPR projects that enhances the gathering and use of risk management data through machine learning. New Model of Inclusive Higher Education Practices in Megacities' Universities
This study analyzes the problem of higher professional education for people with disabilities in multinational megacities from different countries. The aim of this paper is to investigate the emerging changes and perspectives of educational inclusion in the universities of Moscow, Jakarta, Barcelona, and Cairo and to develop a new model of inclusive educational practice for universities based on an inclusive ideology of understanding the position of people with disabilities in the education system and society overall. To perform this study and verify the new model proposed by the authors, participants were selected from ten universities that indicated parameters such as accessibility, participation, quality, students' education results, and government funding. The survey aimed to collect participants' perspectives and experiences from diverse elements of the higher education community in the aforementioned locations. 751 participants were selected for the survey with a balanced gender distribution: 48.6% men and 51.4% women. Age distribution was rather diverse: the age group of 18–24 years was 25,7%, the age group of 25–34 years was 27,3%, the age group of 35–44 years was 25,6%, and the age group of 45 years 21,4%. Another distribution was people without disabilities (N=250) and with disabilities (N=551). The reliability of the research was achieved using several methods, including ANOVA. The results of this research show similarities and differences in implementing inclusive education practices across selected locations, providing a detailed picture of the current state and future perspectives of higher inclusive education. The scientific novelty of this research lies in the theoretical-methodological rationale of the new model of inclusive higher education practices in universities of major megacities and in forming the propositions on this model's implementation in higher education institutions.
