Det privilegerte stadsmusikantvesenet i Norge
The task of the privileged town- musician office was to organize the towns secular music scene after the model of the handicraft guilds. The town musician institution was functioning in large parts of Europe. The system spread north and was introduced in Norwegian cities from the beginning of the 1600s, but under more arid conditions. This article is based largely on studies of the town musician office in Bergen, Trondheim and Kristiansand. The study also provides the basis for discussions of town musicians as performers, composers, and educators, and their fight against competitive players
Rekrutteringen til de utøvende musikkutdanningene i Norge
The admission to the music performance programs in Norway is not coordinated. There are good reasons for that, but it also presents some challenges. An example of these is that there are no surveys at the national level of the changes over time in the number of applicants to the classical and popular music performance programs. The article contributes to new knowledge and insight in this area in that it explains and discusses the findings of three empirical studies in the 2000s, studies that provide the basis for answering the question: Is it in Norway today more applicants to the popular music educations than to the classical ones
La marginación de la literatura y de Hispanoamérica en el español como lengua extranjera
El artículo analiza la presente situación del español como lengua extranjera en la educación secundaria en Noruega. Dentro del paradigma de la competencia comunicativa la literatura pierde importancia debido al énfasis en las destrezas orales y en el ’output’. Los objetivos abiertos del plan de estudios de Kunnskapsløftet (la reforma educativa del 2006), los enfoques de los manuales, la forma del examen además de otros mecanismos y ciertas ”enfermedades infantiles” de la asignatura, hacen que tanto la literatura como las culturas hispanoamericanas queden marginadas del aula. Dado que la literatura y el conocimiento de otras culturas son arenas privilegiadas para encuentros con el Otro, las lenguas extranjeras deberían jugar un papel importante en la formación de los alumnos. A modo de conclusión se presentan unas ideas para trabajar con textos literarios con el fin de abrir el aula al mundo y realizar en mayor grado el potencial formativo de la asignatura

This article examines the concept of relational aesthetics, starting with Nicolas Bourriaud's discussion related to art theory. It discusses the concept in relation to music as experiencebased action, where familiar issues between high and low and between art and popular culture are affected. The article emphasizes the "music" as an active social space, characterized by ritualized practices that are active in human life, ways of being-in-the world, and alternative and experimental reality categories
